Polycrystalline cobalt-substituted tungsten bronze ferroelectric ceramics with chemical composition Ba_(5)CaTi_(2-x)Co_(X)Nb_(8)O_(30)(x=0.00,0.02,0.04 and 0.08)were synthesized by solid state reaction technique.X-ray diffraction(XRD)technique was used to confirm the phase formation and it revealed the formation of single phase tetragonal structure with space group *** surface morphology of the samples was studied by using the scanning electron microscopy(SEM)*** dielectric properties such as dielectric constant and dielectric loss have been investigated as a function of temperature and *** P-E and M-H studies confirmed the coexistent of ferroelectricity and magnetism at room *** P-E loop study indicated an increase in the coercive field while the M-H study depicted a decrease in the magnetization with the incorporation of cobalt ions.

Tungsten bronze structure ceramics have found vital potential in many applications such as actuators, transducer, electro-optic, ferroelectric random access memory and microwave devices. These type ceramics are extensively used in many industrial applications due to their spontaneous polarization and well-known for its high dielectric constant, low dielectric loss, low leakage current density, good thermal stability and high piezoelectric coefficient. In present work, Ba5CaTi2Nb8O30 (BCTN) has been synthesized first time through solid state reaction method. The microstructures, dielectric, ferroelectric, ferromagnetic and Raman spectra have been investigated by means of X-ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX), LCR meter, P-E loop tracer, VSM and Raman spectrometer respectively. X-ray dif-fraction study revealed the formation of single phase tetragonal structure with space group P4bm. The crystallite size was observed to be in the range 14.4 nm. Detailed dielectric properties of BCTN compound as function of temperature at different frequencies show that sample exhibits diffuse type transition at curie temperature 316°C. The P-E and M-H studies confirmed the coexistent ferroelectricity and magnetism at room temperature.

A novel approach for justification of box-triangular germanium profile in SiGe HBTs

This work presents a unique and robust approach for validation of using the box-triangular germanium profile in the base of SiGe heterojunction bipolar transistors, where the methodology considers the simultaneous optimization of the p-type base doping profile in conjunction with the germanium profile in the base. The study analyses the electron motion across the SiGe base in SiGe HBTs, owing to different accelerating electric fields. The analysis first presents a figure of merit, to achieve the minimum electron transit time across the base in conjunction with the increased current gain in n-p-n-SiGe HBTs, which shows a general trend vis-a-vis the advantage of a trapezoid germanium profile, but with additional accuracy as we considered simultaneously optimized p-type base doping. The effect of minority carrier velocity saturation is then included to make the study more detailed. The analysis then investigates the shifted germanium profile in the base to further minimize the base transit time. Finally, it is shown that a shifted germanium profile eventually evolves into a box-triangular Ge-profile in the SiGe base, which could simultaneously minimize the base transit time and reduce emitter delay by virtue of the high current gain. The analysis verifies that for an average Ge-dose of 7.5% Ge across the base, a box-triangular germanium profile in conjunction with an optimum base doping profile has an approximately identical base transit time and a 30% higher current gain, in comparison with an optimum base doping and triangular Ge-profile across the whole base.

The reaction of unsymmetrical phenylmethyltin dihydride （PhMeSnH2）, phenylethyltin dihydride （PhEtSnH2）, phenylbutyltin dihydride （PhBuSnH2） and butylmethyltin dihydride （BuMeSnH2） with biuret （HAL） proceeds via SnH/NH dehydrocoupling to afford the corresponding tetra-coordinate cyclic products. The reactions in the molar ratios of 1 ： 1, 2 ： 1 and 1 ： 2 have been studied. The yellow derivatives so isolated were soluble in polar solvents and insoluble in nonpolar solvents. It was found that 1 ： 1 reaction went to completion while 2 ： 1 and 1 ： 2 did not go to completion. The derivatives had been characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopic techniques viz. IR, ^1H NMR, ^13C NMR, ^119Sn NMR. DSC and TGA of the reaction products have also been studied. All the derivatives were thermally stable upto （1904- 10）℃ and degradation occurred after that.

Aim:The development of chemotherapy resistance is the major obstacle in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer(PCa).Extracellular vesicles(EVs)secretion plays a significant role among different mechanisms contributing to ***,inhibition of EVs release may increase the efficacy of chemotherapeutic drugs against ***:Paclitaxel(PTX)resistant PCa cells(PC3-R and DU145-R)were treated with GW4869,a known exosome biogenesis *** were isolated from the conditioned media by ExoQuick-based precipitation method and characterized for concentration and size distribution by nanoparticle tracking *** effect of GW4869 treatment on the survival and growth of PCa cells was assessed by MTT,and colony formation assays in vitro,and ectopic PC3-R xenografts in male athymic nude mice in *** effect of other EV biogenesis inhibitors,imipramine and dimethyl amiloride(DMA),treatment was also analyzed on the survival of PC3-R ***:GW4869(10-20μM)treatment of PTX resistant PCa cells significantly reduced the release of small EVs(50-100 nm size range)while increasing the release of larger EVs(>150 nm in size),and inhibited their ***,GW4869(5-20μM)treatment(24-72h)significantly inhibited the survival of PC3-R cells in a dose-dependent *** observed a similar growth inhibition with both imipramine(5-20μg/mL)and DMA(5-20μg/mL)treatment in PC3-R ***,GW4869 treatment(IP)in mice bearing PC3-R xenografts significantly reduced the tumor weight(65%reduction,P=0.017)compared to the vehicle-treated control mice without causing any noticeable ***:Inhibiting the release of EVs could sensitize the resistant PCa cells to chemotherapy.
