Tilted global solar irradiance in Bahrain:an experimental study

In the present work,tilted global solar irradiance data are presented and analysed,measured for a period of 1 year on the campus of Bahrain Polytechn.c.Kingdom of Bahrain,from both a fixed photovoltaic panel and a moving one via a two-axis solar *** fixed panel faces south with an angle of 26°with respect to the horizontal,coinciding with the local geographical *** second panel is moved by two motors,controlled by a global positioning system and suitable software so that the Sun’s rays are perpendicular to the panel surface.A pyranometer is installed on each panel,recording the tilted global solar irradiance,stored by using a data *** analysis of the data obtained shows a 33%solar energy gain on an annual basis for the moving panel(2780 versus 2088 kWh/m^(2) on the fixed panel).More importantly,in June,when the energy demand in Bahrain is elevated due to the increased residential cooling loads,the solar energy received by the moving panel is 54.7%higher compared with that of the fixed *** a percentage basis,the increase in solar energy from the moving panel is profound in the early morning and late evening ***,the reduction in the solar energy received by the fixed panel from May to June does not appear in the moving panel because of the adjustable orientation of the *** the year,the mean daily solar power varies between 0.37 and 0.56 kW/m^(2) for the fixed panel,and 0.45 and 0.70 kW/m^(2) for the moving *** winter,solar energy fluctuations are elevated due to erratic weather conditions that present a peak standard deviation of 28%of the corresponding *** data presented are useful for potential solar investments in Gulf countries.

Arroyo Verde epithermal deposit,in the north Patagonia region of Argentina,is located within the Lower chon Aike volcanism and is developed between 192.6±2.5 Ma(mineralization host rock)and 189.5±2.6 Ma(overlying lava).Marifil volcan.c.complex is the host rock for these veins,veinlets and *** particular small deposit has developed low to intermediate sulphidation.c.aracteristics,with gangue mineral textures associated with several ore *** probe microanalysis determines electrum,silver minerals such as acanthite,and tetrahedrite,related Ag-cu minerals like jalpaite,mckinstryite,stromeyerite,and base metals like chalcopyrite,sphalerite,galena and *** inclusions in quartz of two out of five events indicate that these Low Jurassic veins were formed due to subtle boiling and dilution mechanisms and by low-salinity(3.4 wt.%to 6.7 wt.%n.c. eq)magmatic-hydrothermal fluid at 225 to 310℃.The fluid inclusion measurements that indicate boiling(event 3)were plotted,and based on this data,we interpret that the Arroyo Verde deposit has been eroded between 550 and 700 *** particular character has not been previously recorded for other sectors of the eastern north Patagonian region.

Background extracellular vesicles(eVs) present in oviductal(OF) and uterine fluid(UF) have been shown to enhance bovine embryo quality during in vitro culture by reducing lipid contents and modulating lipid metabolism-related genes(LMGs), while also influencing cell proliferation, suggesting their involvement on the regulation of different biological pathways. The regulation of signaling pathways related to cell differentiation, proliferation, and metabo-lism is crucial for early embryo development and can determine the success or failure of the pregnancy. Bioactive molecules within eVs in maternal reproductive fluids, such as micro RnAs(miRnAs), may contribute to this regulatory process as they modulate gene expression through post-tran.c.iptional *** This study evaluated miRnA cargo in OF-eVs from the early luteal phase and UF-eVs from the mid-luteal phase, coinciding with embryo transit within oviduct and uterus in vivo, and its possible influence on LMGs and sign-aling pathways crucial for early embryo development. A total of 333 miRnAs were detected, with 11 exclusive to OF, 59 to UF, and 263 were common between both groups. From the 20 differentially expressed miRnAs, 19 up-regulated in UF-eVs(bta-miR-134, bta-miR-151-3p, bta-miR-155, bta-miR-188, bta-miR-181b, bta-miR-181d, bta-miR-224, bta-miR-23b-3p, bta-miR-24-3p, bta-miR-27a-3p, bta-miR-29a, bta-miR-324, bta-miR-326, bta-miR-345-3p, bta-miR-410, bta-miR-652, bta-miR-677, bta-miR-873 and bta-miR-708) and one(bta-miR-148b) in OF-eVs. These miRnAs were predicted to modulate several pathways such as Wnt, Hippo, MAPK, and lipid metabolism and degradation. Association of initial assessment variables and mortality in severe pediatric traumatic brain injury

This paper validates the optimal operation for a grid-conn.c.ed double-fed induction generator(DFIG)in an oscillating water column power plant(OWcPP).This study presents a novel optimization technique called the circulatory system-based optimization.c.BO)approach to develop six adaptive fuzzy logic controllers(AFLcs)with 30 parameters and compare them to chaotic-billiards optimization.c.BO)and genetic algorithm(GA).The proposed controller is also compared with a proportional-integral differential(PID)controller based on a self-adaptive global-best harmony search(SGHS).cSBO-based AFLcs are fully investigated under different scenarios and experimented with using a real-time interface *** results of using cSBO-AFLcs revealed a fast time response,fast convergence,less overshoot and minimal error compared with those achieved with c-BO-AFLc,SGHS-PID and GA-AFLc during different case *** cSBO-based AFLcs ensure maximum power from the DFIG in an OWcPP and enhance dynamic response with very low *** results show that the cSBO shows better power tracking by 25%as compared with c-BO,by 45%when.c.mpared with the GA and by 56%when.c.mpared with ***,the integral absolute errors of six controllers are investigated to demonstrate the feasibility of *** root mean square of the errors of six controllers using cSBO is improved by 68.27%when.c.mpared with GA,by 22.57%when.c.mpared with c-BO and by 38.42%when.c.mpared with *** indicators demonstrate the feasibility of cSBO when.c.mpared with other algorithms with the same OWcPP.

natural rubber latex （nRL） and methyl methacrylate （MMA） grafted rubber latex were blended in different ratios and irradiated at various absorbed doses by gamma rays from co-60 source at room temperature. The tensile properties, swelling ratio and permanent set were measured. The maximum tensile strength and modulus at 500% elongation were obtained at an absorbed dose of 8 kGy. Modulus increases from 6.99 MPa to 9.87 MPa for an increase in proportion of MMA grafted rubber from 40% to 60% in the blend at similar absorbed dose. elongation at break and swelling ratio decrease with increasing absorbed dose as well as the MMA grafted rubber content in the blends. The decreasing trend of permanent set is high up to 5 kGy absorbed dose, and beyond that dose, it becomes almost flat.

Social media is commonly used by governments to disseminate information related to transparency and institutional promotion,but its potential for the dissemination of cultural resources is often *** research proposes a strategy for adopting social media to achieve cultural dissemination in the mun.c.pality of Lamas,Peru,which has tourism potential and has been awarded the“Best Tourism Villages”seal of the World Tourism ***,we propose a case study at a propositional exploratory *** start by determining the current state of dissemination of tangible and intangible resources,as well as the practical use of social media,through a survey of 20 *** results reveal that crafts are the most widely disseminated tangible resource in the mun.c.pality(according to 55%of officials),and intangible resources are occasionally disseminated(50%).We also find that Facebook is the only digital channel used to disseminate cultural *** this context,we formulate a strategy for adopting social media to improve cultural dissemination,which consists of six phases:(i)forming a work team,(ii)preparing a budget plan,(iii)strengthening capacities,(iv)taking inventory of cultural resources,(v)coordinating community interests and(vi)preparing a cultural dissemination *** findings can.c.ntribute to formulating public initiatives for the institutionalisation of social media in governments for the purposes of preserving,promoting and guaranteeing the accessibility of cultural heritage.

Background The nationally determined contribution（n.c. presented by Argentina within the framework of the Paris Agreement is aligned with the decisions made in the context of the United nations Framework conven-tion on.c.imate change（Un.c.c） on the reduction of emissions derived from deforestation and forest degradation, as well as forest carbon.c.nservation（ReDD+）. In addition, climate change constitutes one of the greatest threats to forest biodiversity and ecosystem services. However, the soil organ.c.carbon（SOc） stocks of native forests have not been incorporated into the Forest Reference emission Levels calculations and for conservation planning under cli-mate variability due to a lack of information. The objectives of this study were:（i） to model SOc stocks to 30 cm of native forests at a national scale using climatic, topographic and vegetation as predictor variables, and（ii） to relate SOc stocks with spatial–temporal remotely sensed indices to determine biodiversity conservation.c.ncerns due to threats from high inter-annual climate *** We used 1040 forest soil samples（0–30 cm） to generate spatially explicit estimates of SOc native forests in Argentina at a spatial resolution of approximately 200 m. We selected 52 potential predictive environmental covari-ates, which represent key factors for the spatial distribution of SOc. All covariate maps were uploaded to the Google earth engine cloud-based computing platform for subsequent modelling. To determine the biodiversity threats from high inter-annual climate variability, we employed the spatial–temporal satellite-derived indices based on enhanced Vegetation Index（eVI） and land surface temperature（LST） images from Landsat *** SOc model（0–30 cm depth） prediction accounted for 69% of the variation of this soil property across the whole native forest coverage in Argentina.
