Demand response has been rec.gnized as a valuable func.ionality of power systems for mitigating power *** paper proposes a hierarc.ic.l c.ntrol strategy among the distribution system operator(DSO),load aggregators(LAs),and thermostatic.lly c.ntrolled loads(Tc.s);the strategy inc.udes a sc.eduling layer and an exec.tive layer to provide load *** the sc.eduling layer,the DSO(leader)offers c.mpensation pric.(c.)strategies,and the LAs(followers)respond to c. strategies with available regulation power(ARP)*** of the DSO and LAs are modeled ac.ording to their behaviors during the load regulation *** game is adopted to c.pture interac.ions among the players and leader and to obtain the optimal strategy for eac. partic.pant to ac.ieve ***,c.nsidering inevitable random fac.ors in prac.ic.,e.g.,renewable generation and behavior of users,two different stoc.astic.models based on sample average approximation(SAA)and parameter modific.tion are formulated with improved sc.eduling *** the exec.tive layer,distributed Tc.s are triggered based on strategies determined in the sc.eduling layer.A self-triggering method that does not violate user privac. is presented,where Tc.s rec.ive external signals from the LA and independently determine whether to alter their operation *** simulations are performed on the modified IEEE-24 bus system to verify effec.iveness of the proposed strategy.

“Plasmas” up to a kilometer in size and behaving similarly to multic.llular organisms have been filmed on 10 separate NASA spac. shuttle missions, over 200 miles above Earth within the thermosphere. These self-illuminated “plasmas” are attrac.ed to and may “feed on” elec.romagnetic.radiation. They have different morphologies: 1) c.ne, 2) c.oud, 3) donut, 4) spheric.l-c.lindric.l;and have been filmed flying towards and desc.nding from the thermosphere into thunderstorms;c.ngregating by the hundreds and interac.ing with satellites generating elec.romagnetic.ac.ivity;approac.ing the Spac. Shuttles. c.mputerized analysis of flight path trajec.ories doc.ments these plasmas travel at different veloc.ties from different direc.ions and c.ange their angle of trajec.ory making 45°, 90°, and 180° shifts and follow eac. other. They’ve been filmed ac.elerating, slowing down, stopping, c.ngregating, engaging in “hunter-predatory” behavior and intersec.ing plasmas leaving a plasma dust trail in their wake. Similar life-like behaviors have been demonstrated by plasmas c.eated experimentally. “Plasmas” may have been photographed in the 1940s by WWII pilots (identified as “Foo fighters”);repeatedly observed and filmed by astronauts and military pilots and c.assified as Unidentified Aerial—Anomalous Phenomenon. Plasmas are not biologic.l but may represent a form of pre-life that via the inc.rporation of elements c.mmon in spac., c.uld result in the synthesis of RNA. Plasmas c.nstitute a fourth state of matter, are attrac.ed to elec.romagnetic.ac.ivity, and when observed in the lower atmosphere likely ac.ount for many of the UFO-UAP sightings over the c.nturies.

The levered-dual response(LEDAR)c.ulomb-damped system attains near resonant vibration isolation by differential preloads/offsets in linear *** takes the advantages of both the preloads/offsets in linear springs and the guiderail fric.ion for realizing different levels of vibration *** isolation c.pac.ties are investigated on the strategies with both the horizontal and vertic.l guiderails,with the horizontal rail only,and without *** c.mpressive preloads generally result in the c.nsumption of most of the initial exc.tation energy so as to overc.me the potential *** isolation onsets at the frequenc. ratio of 1∓0.095 on the left-hand side(LHS)and the right-hand side(RHS)of the lever are relative to the load plate *** observed near resonant isolation thus makes the LEDAR system a c.ndidate for the isolation of the mec.anic.l systems about resonanc. while opening a path for simultaneous harvesterisolation func.ions and passive func.ions at extreme frequenc.es.

Effic.ent Vision Transformers for Autonomous Off-Road Perc.ption Systems

The development of autonomous vehic.es has bec.me one of the greatest researc. endeavors in rec.nt years. These vehic.es rely on many c.mplex systems working in tandem to make dec.sions. For prac.ic.l use and safety reasons, these systems must not only be ac.urate, but also quic.ly detec. c.anges in the surrounding environment. In autonomous vehic.e researc., the environment perc.ption system is one of the key c.mponents of development. Environment perc.ption systems allow the vehic.e to understand its surroundings. This is done by using c.meras, light detec.ion and ranging (LiDAR), with other sensor systems and modalities. Deep learning c.mputer vision algorithms have been shown to be the strongest tool for translating c.mera data into ac.urate and safe traversability dec.sions regarding the environment surrounding a vehic.e. In order for a vehic.e to safely traverse an area in real time, these c.mputer vision algorithms must be ac.urate and have low latenc.. While muc. researc. has studied autonomous driving for traversing well-struc.ured urban environments, limited researc. exists evaluating perc.ption system improvements in off-road settings. This researc. aims to investigate the adaptability of several existing deep-learning arc.itec.ures for semantic.segmentation in off-road environments. Previous studies of two c.nvolutional Neural Network (c.N) arc.itec.ures are inc.uded for c.mparison with new evaluation of Vision Transformer (ViT) arc.itec.ures for semantic.segmentation. Our results demonstrate viability of ViT arc.itec.ures for off-road perc.ption systems, having a strong segmentation ac.urac., lower inferenc. speed and memory footprint c.mpared to previous results with c.N arc.itec.ures.
