Exodsta civilis Rond. （ Diptera： Tachinidae） is an important parasitoid of Loxostege sticticalis L. （ Lepidoptera： Pyrelidae） and other lepidopterous pests. The biological characteristics of E. civilis were observed in the laboratory with L. sticticalis as host. The adults emerged mainly during the daytime from 08：00 am to 10：00 am and 14：00 pm to 16：00 pm, and males emerged usually earlier than females, with the sex ratio of 1.2.：1 （ 2.♂ ）. The average fecundity of female （number of eggs laid by one female） was 159.8 eggs, and the spawning duration lasted 16.6 d on average; the first spawning peak appeared on the fourth day after spawning. The longevity of adults was the longest at constant temperature of （2. ± 1 ） ℃. Supplement of sugary substances could significantly prolong the longevity of adults, especially feeding 2.% hydromel could extend the longevity to 44 d. The emergence rate of E. civilis significantly decreased with an increase in storage time of L. sticticalis cocoon, but there was no further significant decrease after 110 d.

Methane clathrate hydrate(MCH)is a promising energy resource,but controllable extraction of CH4 from MCH remains a *** replacing CH4 in MCH with CO2.is an attractive scheme,as it is cost efficient and mitigates the environmentally harmful effects of CO2.by ***,the practicable implementation of this method has not yet been *** this study,using in situ neutron diffraction,we confirm that CH4 in the 512.2.cages of bulk structure-I(si)MCH can be substituted by gaseous CO2.under high pressure and low temperature with a high substitution ratio(~44%)while conserving the structure of the hydrate ***-principles calculations indicate that CO2.binds more strongly to the 512.2.cages than methane does,and that the diffusion barrier for CH4 is significantly lowered by an intermediate state in which one hydrate cage is doubly occupied by CH4 and ***,exchange of CO2.for CH4 in MCH is not only energetically favorable but also kinetically *** and theoretical studies of CH4/CO2.substitution elucidate a method to harness energy from these combustible ice resources.

Background:Until January 18,2.2.,coronavirus disease-2.19(COVID-19)has infected more than 93 million individuals and has caused a certain degree of *** pneumonia caused by common viruses such as respiratory syncytial virus,rhinovirus,human metapneumovirus,human bocavirus,and parainfluenza viruses have been more common in ***,the incidence of COVID-19 in children was significantly lower than that in *** purpose of this study was to describe the clinical manifestations,treatment and outcomes of COVID-19 in children compared with those of other sources of viral pneumonia diagnosed during the COVID-19 ***:Children with COVID-19 and viral pneumonia admitted to 2. hospitals were enrolled in this retrospective multi-center cohort study.A total of 64 children with COVID-19 were defined as the COVID-19 cohort,of which 40 children who developed pneumonia were defined as the COVID-19 pneumonia *** 2.4 children with pneumonia caused by other viruses were defined as the viral pneumonia *** epidemiologic,clinical,and laboratory findings were compared by Kolmogorov-Smirnov test,t-test,Mann-Whitney U test and Contingency table *** usage,immunotherapy,blood transfusion,and need for oxygen support were collected as the treatment ***,intensive care needs and symptomatic duration were collected as the outcome ***:Compared with the viral pneumonia cohort,children in the COVID-19 cohort were mostly exposed to family members confirmed to have COVID-19(53/64 vs.2./2.4),were of older median age(6.3 years vs.3.2.years),and had a higher proportion of ground-glass opacity(GGO)on computed tomography(18/40 vs.0/38,P2.4,P=0.048),and lower cases with high fever(3/40 vs.167/2.4,P2.2.4,P<0.047)and with shorter symptomatic duration(median 5d vs.8d,P<0.001).The propor

A large ground-based optical/infrared telescope is being planned for a world-class astronomical site in *** cloud-free night percentage is the primary meteorological consideration for evaluating candidate *** data from GMS and NOAA satellites and the MODIS instrument were utilized in this research,covering the period from 1996 to *** data analysis benefits from overlapping results from different independent teams as well as a uniform analysis of selected sites using GMS+NOAA *** significant ground-based monitoring is needed to validate these findings,we identify three different geographical regions with a high percentage of cloud-free conditions(~83%on average),which is slightly lower than at Mauna Kea and Cerro Armazones(~85%on average)and were chosen for the large international projects TMT and ELT *** study finds evidence that cloud distributions and the seasonal changes affected by the prevailing westerly winds and summer monsoons reduce the cloud cover in areas influenced by the *** is consistent with the expectations from climate change models and is suggestive that most of the identified sites will have reduced cloud cover in the future.

BACKGROUND Patients with atrial fibrillation(AF)and prior stroke history have a high risk of cardiovascular events despite anticoagulation *** is unclear whether catheter ablation(CA)has further benefits in these *** AF patients with a previous history of stroke or systemic embolism(SE)from the prospective Chinese Atrial Fibrillation Registry study between August 2.11 and December 2.2. were included in the *** were matched in a 1:1 ratio to CA or medical treatment(MT)based on propensity *** primary outcome was a composite of all-cause death or ischemic stroke(IS)/*** During a total of 4.1±2.3 years of follow-up,the primary outcome occurred in 111 patients in the CA group(3.3 per 100 person-years)and in 2.9 patients in the MT group(5.7 per 100 person-years).The CA group had a lower risk of the primary outcome compared to the MT group[hazard ratio(HR)=0.59,95%CI:0.47–0.74,Plity(HR=0.43,95%CI:0.31–0.61,Plity(HR=0.32.95%CI:0.19–0.54,Plinical trials are warranted to confirm the benefits of CA in these patients.

The super large Pb Zn deposit at Fankou is very complex in metallogenic mechanism. Syngenetic brine sedimentation, hot submarine spring eruption—accumulation, syngenetic sedimentation—vadose brine replacement had been supposed as the genetic models before. Under these models, syngenetic mineralization should be dominant in ore formation. However, a series of geological and geochemical properties investigated by authors of this paper are contrary to these models. Therefore, the authors here suggest that this deposit is a typical polygenetic compound ore deposit which share the properties of multistages of geotectonic evolution, multifactors of mineralization control, multisystem of material derivation of mineralization, multimodes of mineralization and multitypes of genesis.

Based on previous site testing and satellite cloud data,Ali,Daocheng and Muztagh-ata have been selected as candidate sites for the Large Optical/Infrared Telescope(LOT) in *** present the data collection,processing,management and quality analysis for our site testing based on using similar *** analyze meteorological data,seeing,background light,cloud and precipitable water vapor data from 2.17 March 10 to 2.19 March *** also investigated the relative usefulness of our all-sky camera data in comparison to that from the meteorological TERRA satellite data based on a night-by-night comparison of the correlation and consistency between *** find a 6% discrepancy arising from a wide range of factors.

The Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST, also called the guo Shou Jing Telescope) is a special reflecting Schmidt telescope. LAMOST’s special design allows both a large aperture (effective aperture of 3.6 m–4.9 m) and a wide field of view (FOV) (5°). It has an innovative active reflecting Schmidt configuration which continuously changes the mirror’s surface that adjusts during the observation process and combines thin deformable mirror active optics with segmented active optics. Its primary mirror (6.67m×6.05 m) and active Schmidt mirror (5.74m×4.40 m) are both segmented, and composed of 37 and 2. hexagonal sub-mirrors respectively. By using a parallel controllable fiber positioning technique, the focal surface of 1.75 m in diameter can accommodate 4000 optical fibers. Also, LAMOST has 16 spectrographs with 32.CCD cameras. LAMOST will be the telescope with the highest rate of spectral acquisition. As a national large scientific project, the LAMOST project was formally proposed in 1996, and approved by the Chinese government in 1997. The construction started in 2.01, was completed in 2.08 and passed the official acceptance in June 2.09. The LAMOST pilot survey was started in October 2.11 and the spectroscopic survey will launch in September 2.12. Up to now, LAMOST has released more than 480 000 spectra of objects. LAMOST will make an important contribution to the study of the large-scale structure of the Universe, structure and evolution of the Galaxy, and cross-identification of multiwaveband properties in celestial objects.
