The emergence of a new era reaching beyond current state-of-the-art ultrashort and ultraintense laser technology has been enabled by the approval of around V 850 million worth of structural funds in 2011–2012 by the European Commission for the installation of Extreme Light Infrastructure(ELI).The ELI project consists of three pillars being built in the Czech Republic,Hungary,and *** challenging proposal is based on recent technical progress allowing ultraintense laser fields in which intensities will soon be reaching as high as I0∼1023Wcm−*** tremendous technological advance has been brought about by the invention of chirped pulse amplification by Mourou and *** is hosting the ELI for Nuclear Physics(ELI-NP)pillar in M˘agurele near *** new facility,currently under construction,is intended to serve the broad national,European,and international scientific *** mission covers scientific research at the frontier of knowledge involving two *** first is laser-driven experiments related to NP,strong-field quantum electrodynamics,and associated vacuum *** second research domain is based on the establishment of a Compton-backscattering-based,high-brilliance,and intenseγbeam with Eγ≲19.5 MeV,which represents a merger between laser and accelerator *** system will allow the investigation of the nuclear structure of selected isotopes and nuclear reactions of relevance,for example,to astrophysics with hitherto unprecedented resolution and *** addition to fundamental themes,a large number of applications with significant societal impact will be *** implementation of the project started in January 2013 and is spearheaded by the ELI-NP/Horia Hulubei National Institute for Physics and Nuclear Engineering(IFIN-HH).Experiments will begin in early 2020.

Vibration-Based Pattern Password Approach for Visually Impaired People

The pattern password method is amongst the most attractive authentication methods and involves drawing a pattern;this is seen as easier than typing a ***,since people with visual impairments have been increasing their usage of smart devices,this method is inaccessible for them as it requires them to select points on the touch ***,this paper exploits the haptic technology by introducing a vibration-based pattern password approach in which the vibration feedback plays an important *** approach allows visually impaired people to use a pattern password through two developed vibration feedback:pulses,which are counted by the user,and duration,which has to be estimated by the *** order to make the proposed approach capable to prevent shoulder-surfing attacks,a camouflage pattern approach is *** experimental study is conducted to evaluate the proposed approach,the results of which show that the vibration pulses feedback is usable and resistant to shoulder-surfing attacks.

Can NogoA Be a Suitable Target to Treat Ischemic Stroke?

Treating stroke or restoring brain function after stroke remains challenging for clinicians[1,2].Researchers have largely focused on developing neuroprotective strategies and translating these discoveries from rodent experiments to the clinical setting;however,these have been typified by several failures[2].It is known that astrocytes play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of ischemic stroke[3,4].They are activated in response to stimuli arising from injury,characterized by drastic changes to their morphology and function-associated gene *** astrocytes exacerbate secondary neurodegeneration(repair of nervous tissue by the generation of new neurons,glial cells,axons,myelin,or synapses)[5]as well as provide neuroprotection during CNS pathologies[6].It is worth noting that myelin-related neurite growth inhibitors induce the suppression of axon regeneration after stroke[7].

Usability and Security of Arabic Text-based CAPTCHA Using Visual Cryptography

Recently,with the spread of online services involving websites,attack-ers have the opportunity to expose these services to malicious *** protect these services,A Completely Automated Public Turing Test to Tell Computers and Humans Apart(CAPTCHA)is a proposed *** many Arabic countries have developed their online services in Arabic,Arabic text-based CAPTCHA has been introduced to improve the usability for their ***-over,there exist a visual cryptography(VC)technique which can be exploited in order to enhance the security of text-based CAPTCHA by encrypting a CAPTCHA image into two shares and decrypting it by asking the user to stack them on each ***,as yet,the implementation of this technique with regard to Arabic text-based CAPTCHA has not been carried ***,this paper aims to implement an Arabic printed and handwritten text-based CAPTCHA scheme based on the VC *** evaluate this scheme,experi-mental studies are conducted,and the results show that the implemented scheme offers a reasonable security and usability levels with text-based CAPTCHA itself.

Cyberbullying,a critical concern for digital safety,necessitates effective linguistic analysis tools that can navigate the complexities of language use in online *** tackle this challenge,our study introduces a new approach employing Bidirectional Encoder Representations from the Transformers(BERT)base model(cased),originally pretrained in *** model is uniquely adapted to recognize the intricate nuances of Arabic online communication,a key aspect often overlooked in conventional cyberbullying detection *** model is an end-to-end solution that has been fine-tuned on a diverse dataset of Arabic social media(SM)tweets showing a notable increase in detection accuracy and sensitivity compared to existing *** results on a diverse Arabic dataset collected from the‘X platform’demonstrate a notable increase in detection accuracy and sensitivity compared to existing methods.E-BERT shows a substantial improvement in performance,evidenced by an accuracy of 98.45%,precision of 99.17%,recall of 99.10%,and an F1 score of 99.14%.The proposed E-BERT not only addresses a critical gap in cyberbullying detection in Arabic online forums but also sets a precedent for applying cross-lingual pretrained models in regional language applications,offering a scalable and effective framework for enhancing online safety across Arabic-speaking communities.

Many tourists who travel to explore different cultures and cities worldwide aim to find the best tourist sites,accommodation,and food according to their *** objective makes it harder for tourists to decide and plan where to go and what to *** from hiring a local guide,an option which is beyond most travelers’budgets,the majority of sojourners nowadays use mobile devices to search for or recommend interesting sites on the basis of user ***,this work utilizes the prevalent recommender systems and mobile app technologies to overcome this ***,this study proposes location-aware personalized traveler assistance(LAPTA),a system which integrates user preferences and the global positioning system(gPS)to generate personalized and location-aware *** integration will enable the enhanced recommendation of the developed scheme relative to those from the traditional recommender systems used in customer ***,LAPTA separates the data obtained from google locations into name and category *** the data separation,the system fetches the keywords from the user’s input according to the user’s past research *** proposed system uses the K-Nearest algorithm to match the name and category tags with the user’s input to generate personalized *** system also provides suggestions on the basis of nearby popular attractions using the google point of interest feature to enhance system *** experimental results showed that LAPTA could provide more reliable and accurate recommendations compared to the reviewed recommendation applications.

The advancements in technology have substantially grown the size of image *** image encryption algorithms have limited capabilities to deal with the emerging challenges in big data,including compression and noise *** image encryption method that is based on chaotic maps and orthogonal matrix is proposed in this *** proposed scheme is built on the intriguing characteristics of an orthogonal *** Schmidt disperses the values of pixels in a plaintext image by generating a random orthogonal matrix using logistic chaotic *** the diffusion process,a block-wise random permutation of the data is performed using *** proposed scheme provides sufficient security and resilience to JPEg compression and channel noise through a series of experiments and security *** enables Partial Encryption(PE)for faster processing as well as complete encryption for increased *** higher values of the number of pixels change rates and unified average change intensity confirm the security of the encryption *** contrast to other schemes,the proposed approach can perform full and partial encryption depending on security requirements.
