In this paper,we introduce a three-step composite implicit iteration process for approximating the common fixed point of three uniformly continuous and asymptotically generalizedΦ-hemicontractive mappings in the intermediate *** prove that our proposed iteration process converges to the common fixed point of three finite family of asymptotically generalizedΦ-hemicontractive mappings in the intermediate *** results extends,improves and complements several known results in literature.

A recent study published in Nature reveals an interaction between sWI/sNF subunits and mitotic chromatin,which is essential for establishing gene bookmarks and preserving cell identity.1 The findings deepen our understanding of how sWI/sNF complexes regulate transcriptional memory heritability for cell fate commitment(Fig.1),thus validating the indispensability of sWI/sNF complexes in development and association of their perturbance with tumorigenesis and neurodevelopment disorders.

Introduction:Osun River dissecting the Osun-Osogbo sacred grove,though inscribed on the World Heritage List,has been rarely assessed for biodiversity values or *** this study,we investigated the concentrations of Cu and Zn in the benthic sediments and two dominant gastropod species(Melanoides tuberculata and Lanistes varicus)of the Osun *** sediment and gastropod samples were collected on quarterly basis from June 2015 to March 2016 along the longitudinal stretch of the *** samples were digested and analysed for Cu and Zn using the atomic absorption ***:With the exception of september sampling period,the two metals recorded higher values in the animals than in the ***(1.23±0.81μg/g)was much lower(pg/g)in the benthic *** the same vein,Cu was significantly lower(ps recorded much lower values than their average concentrations in the Earth’s crust as well as the recommended limits for freshwater ***,*** recorded higher bioaccumulation factor than ***:Findings from this study suggest that both metals posed no toxicological risk to the freshwater system of Osun *** of both metals in the sediments as well as their accumulation factors in both gastropod species were indicative of an unimpacted freshwater system.

Objective:To ascertain the level of intestinal parasites vis-a-vis the quality of housing and water supply,and sanitary conditions among the people of Kuraje village in Zamfara state. Methods:The study was cross sectional in *** households were selected using systematic random sampling methods and pre-tested questionnaires were administered to all the members of each *** samples were collected and processed using standard laboratory *** conditions,sources of water and sanitary conditions of the households were also *** were analysed using Epi Info 2006 ***: The prevalence of intestinal parasites was 67.0%(347/519).72.3%(251/347),17.0%(59/347),and 10.7%(37/347) had one,two and three or more parasites,*** associated factors with intestinal parasites were poor housing and sanitary conditions,lack of potable water and *** commonest parasites encountered were hookworm(22.0%),Ascaris lumbricoides (18.5%),and strongyloides stercoralis(15.6%) while the least common was Enterobius vermicularis (1.6%).Others were giardia lamblia(5.7%),Hymenolepsis nana(5.0%),Trichuris trichiura(8.8%), Entamoeba histolytica(14.4%) and schistosoma mansoni(8.4%).Conclusions:The infection rate of intestinal parasites in Kuraje village is *** efforts should be intensified towards improvement in sanitary and housing standards,supply of potable water and institution of a more comprehensive literacy programme for the people of the community.

In our previous studies, we have found that the prepubertal increase in thyroid hormone levels induces osterix(Osx) signaling in hypertrophic chondrocytes to transdifferentiate them into osteoblasts. To test if Osx expressed in chondrocytes directly contributes to transdifferentiation and secondary ossification, we generated Osx^flox/flox;Col2-Cre-ERT2 mice and knocked out Osx with a single injection of tamoxifen at postnatal day(P) 3 prior to evaluation of the epiphyseal bone phenotype by μCT, histology, and immunohistochemistry(IHC) at P21. Vehicle(oil)-treated Osx^flox/flox;Col2-Cre-ERT2 and tamoxifen-treated, Cre-negative Osx^flox/flox mice were used as controls.μCT analysis of tibial epiphyses revealed that trabecular bone mass was reduced by 23% in the Osx conditional knockout(c KO) compared with control mice. Trabecular number and thickness were reduced by 28% and 8%,respectively, while trabecular separation was increased by 24% in the c KO mice. Trichrome staining of longitudinal sections of tibial epiphyses showed that bone area and bone area adjusted for total area were decreased by 22% and 18%, respectively. IHC studies revealed the presence of abundant Osx-expressing prehypertrophic chondrocytes in the epiphyses of control mice at P10, but not in the cKO mice. Furthermore, expression levels of MMP13, COL10, ALP, and BsP were considerably reduced in the epiphyses of cKO mice. We also found that Osx overexpression in ATDC5 chondrocytes increased expression of Col10, Mmp13, Alp, and Bsp. Our data indicate that Osx expressed in chondrocytes plays a significant role in secondary ossification by regulating expression of genes involved in chondrocyte hypertrophy and osteoblast transdifferentiation.

Increased productivity in sorghum has been achieved in the developed world using *** their yield advantage,introduced hybrids have not been adopted in Ethiopia due to the lack of adaptive traits,their short plant stature and small grain *** study was conducted to investigate hybrid performance and the magnitude of heterosis of locally adapted genotypes in addition to introduced hybrids in three contrasting environments in *** total,139 hybrids,derived from introduced seed parents crossed with locally adapted genotypes and introduced R lines,were ***,the hybrids matured earlier than the adapted parents,but had higher grain yield,plant height,grain number and grain weight in all *** lowland adapted hybrids displayed a mean better parent heterosis(BPH) of19%,equating to 1160 kg ha-1and a 29% mean increase in grain yield,in addition to increased plant height and grain weight,in comparison to the hybrids derived from the introduced R *** mean BPH for grain yield for the highland adapted hybrids was 16% in the highland and 52%in the intermediate environment equating to 698 kg ha-1and 2031 kg ha-1,respectively,in addition to increased grain *** magnitude of heterosis observed for each hybrid group was related to the genetic distance between the parental *** majority of hybrids also showed superiority over the standard check *** general,hybrids from locally adapted genotypes were superior in grain yield,plant height and grain weight compared to the high parents and introduced hybrids indicating the potential for hybrids to increase productivity while addressing farmers' required traits.

A recent article published in science reveals how the mammalian sWI/sNF (msWI/sNF) complexes utilize epigenetic cues in the chromatin landscape for differential chromatin remodeling.1 The heteromultimeric ATP-dependent sWI/sNF complexes can alter chromatin architecture leading to gene expression modulation (Fig. 1). Combinatorial and modular assembly of msWI/sNF complex subunits2 partly underscore their heterogeneity and tissue-specific downstream effects. given their implication in numerous diseases, including cancers3 and neurodevelopmental disorders,4 the msWI/sNF or BAF complexes have attracted interest in elucidating their precise action to lend therapeutic ideas. The work of Mashtalir et al.1 has deepened our understanding by decoding the signals which instruct the assembly, localization, and activity of msWI/sNF complexes. They provide experimental confirmation that the msWI/sNF complexes depend on single and/or summative histone/nucleosome signatures and subunit modules to determine their activity (Fig. 1).
