Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are a collection of sensor nodes distributed in space and connected throug. wireless communication. The sensor nodes g.ther and store data about the real world around them. However, the nodes that are dependent on batteries will ultimately suffer an energ. loss with time, which affects the lifetime of the network. This research proposes to achieve its primary g.al by reducing.energ. consumption and increasing.the network's lifetime and stability. The present technique employs the hybrid Mayfly Optimization Alg.rithmEnhanced Ant Colony Optimization (MFOA-EACO), where the Mayfly Optimization Alg.rithm (MFOA) is used to select the best cluster head (CH) from a set of nodes, and the Enhanced Ant Colony Optimization (EACO) technique is used to determine an optimal route between the cluster head and base station. The performance evaluation of our sug.ested hybrid approach is based on many parameters, including.the number of active and dead nodes, node deg.ee, distance, and energ. usag.. Our objective is to integ.ate MFOA-EACO to enhance energ. efficiency and extend the network life of the WSN in the future. The proposed method outcomes proved to be better than traditional approaches such as Hybrid Squirrel-Flying.Fox Optimization Alg.rithm (HSFLBOA), Hybrid Social Reindeer Optimization and Differential Evolution-Firefly Alg.rithm (HSRODE-FFA), Social Spider Distance Sensitive-iterative Antlion Butterfly Cockroach Alg.rithm (SADSS-iABCA), and Energ. Efficient Clustering.Hierarchy Strateg.-improved Social Spider Alg.rithm Differential Evolution (EECHS-iSSADE).

Combustion characteristics of low-quality lig.ite for different bed material sphericities in a circulating.fluidized bed boiler:A numerical study

This study delves into the combustion behavior of various lig.ite types within a circulating.fluidized bed boiler(CFBB),with a primary focus on the impact of different bed material sphericity ratios(0.5,0.7,and 0.9).Utilizing.bed material with a sphericity ratio of 0.9 sourced from theÇan power plant and verified throug. experimentation,the research reveals several key ***,furnace temperatures tended to rise with hig.er sphericity ratios,albeit with variations between lig.ite types,particularly hig.lig.ting.the complexity of this relationship in the case of g.i-Tunçbilek *** levels in the combustion chamber remained consistent across different sphericity ratios,indicating.minimal influence on pressure *** combustion efficiency,especially at the bottom of the boiler,was observed at lower sphericity levels(0.5 and 0.7)forÇan lig.ite,as reflected in CO_(2) mole *** NO_(x) emissions g.nerally decreased with lower sphericity,the sensitivity to sphericity varied by lig.ite type,with ilg.n lig.ite showcasing.low NO_(x) but hig. SO_(2) emissions,underscoring.the intricate interplay between lig.ite properties,sphericity,and ***,this study advances our understanding.of CFBB combustion dynamics,offering.insig.ts valuable for optimizing.performance and emissions control,particularly in lig.ite-based power.

Tensile deformation of fine-g.ained Mg.at 4K, 78K and 298K

The impact of g.ain size, rang.ng.from 0.9 mu m to 9 mu m, on the mechanical properties of commercially pure Mg.is investig.ted at temperatures of 4K, 78K, and 298K. The mechanisms g.verning.plastic flow are influenced by both g.ain size and temperature. At 4K and 78K, dominant deformation modes in Mg.involve dislocation g.ide and extension twinning. reg.rdless of g.ain size. The interactions between basal and non-basal dislocations and dislocations with g.ain boundaries promote an unusually hig. rate of work hardening.in the center dot/ plastic reg.me, leading.to premature failure. The yield stress follows the Hall-Petch relationship sig.a y k / d , with the slope k increasing.with decreasing.temperature. At 298K, in addition to dislocation g.ide and twinning. g.ain boundary sliding.(g.S) becomes sig.ificant in samples with g.ain sizes below 3 mu m, considerably enhancing.the material's deformability. g.S activation provides an additional recovery mechanism for dislocations accumulating.at g.ain boundaries, facilitating.their absorption during.sliding.and rotation. Analysis of sig.a Theta relationship sug.ests that the basal slip is the dominant dislocation mode in Mg.at 298K. Decreasing.g.ain size suppresses dislocation activity and twinning.and increases g.S, resulting.in lower Theta and sig.a Theta values. Suppressing.conventional deformation modes coupled with enhanced g.S yields stress softening. breaking.down the Hall-Petch relationship in Mg.below 3 mu m g.ain size, leading.to an inverse Hall-Petch behaviour. Heig.t-diameter models for King.Boris fir(Abies borisii reg.s Mattf.) and Scots pine(Pinus sylvestris L.) in Olympus and Pieria Mountains, g.eece

in forest science and practice, the total tree heig.t is one of the basic morphometric attributes at the tree level and it has been closely linked with important stand attributes. in the current research, sixteen nonlinear functions for heig.t prediction were tested in terms of their fitting.ability ag.inst samples of Abies borisii reg.s and Pinus sylvestris trees from mountainous forests in central g.eece. The fitting.procedure was based on g.neralized nonlinear weig.ted reg.ession. At the final stag., a five-quantile nonlinear heig.t-diameter model was developed for both species throug. a quantile reg.ession approach, to estimate the entire conditional distribution of tree heig.t, enabling.the evaluation of the diameter impact at various quantiles and providing.a comprehensive understanding.of the proposed relationship across the distribution. The results clearly showed that employing.the diameter as the sole independent variable, the 3-parameter Hossfeld function and the 2-parameter N?slund function manag.d to explain approximately 84.0% and 81.7% of the total heig.t variance in the case of King.Boris fir and Scots pine species, respectively. Furthermore, the models exhibited low levels of error in both cases(2.310m for the fir and 3.004m for the pine), yielding.unbiased predictions for both fir(-0.002m) and pine(-0.004m). Notably, all the required assumptions for homog.neity and normality of the associated residuals were achieved throug. the weig.ting.procedure, while the quantile reg.ession approach provided additional insig.ts into the heig.t-diameter allometry of the specific species. The proposed models can turn into valuable tools for operational forest manag.ment planning. particularly for wood production and conservation of mountainous forest ecosystems.

We report on the mag.etohydrodynamic impact on the axisymmetric flow of Al_(2)O_(3)/Cu nanoparticles suspended in H_(2)O past a stretched/shrinked *** the use of partial differential equations and the corresponding.thermophysical characteristics of nanoparticles,the physical flow process is *** resultant nonlinear system of partial differential equations is converted into a system of ordinary differential equations using.the suitable similarity *** transformed differential equations are solved *** of the mag.etic parameter,solid volume fraction and stretching.shrinking.parameter on momentum and temperature distribution have been analyzed and interpreted *** skin friction and Nusselt number were also *** addition,existence of dual solution was deduced for the shrinking.sheet and unique solution for the stretching.***,Al_(2)O_(3)/H_(2)O nanofluid flow has better thermal conductivity on comparing.with Cu/H_(2)O ***,it was found that the first solutions of the stream are stable and physically realizable,whereas those of the second ones are unstable.

Phase composition,conductivity,and sensor properties of cerium-doped indium oxide

The hydrothermal synthesis of in_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2)–in_(2)O_(3)is investig.ted as well as the properties of sensor layers based on these *** the synthesis of in_(2)O_(3),intermediate products in(OH)_(3)and inOOH are formed,which are the precursors of stable cubic(c-in_(2)O_(3))and metastable rhombohedral(rh-in_(2)O_(3))phases,respectively.A transition from c-in_(2)O_(3)to rh-in_(2)O_(3)is observed with the addition of CeO_(2).The introduction of cerium into rh-in_(2)O_(3)results in a decrease in the sensor response to hydrog.n,while it increases in composites based on c-in_(2)O_(3).The data on the sensor activity of the composites correlate with XPS results in which CeO_(2)causes a decrease in the concentrations of chemisorbed oxyg.n and oxyg.n vacancies in rh-in_(2)O_(3).The reverse situation is observed in composites based on c-in_(2)O_(3).Compared to in_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2)–in_(2)O_(3)obtained by other methods,the synthesized composites demonstrate maximum response to H_(2)at low temperatures by 70–100℃,and have short response time(0.2–0.5 s),short recovery time(6–7 s),and long.term stability.A model is proposed for the dependence of sensitivity on the direction of electron transfer between in_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2).

identifying.how leaf habit subdivisions link to the fast–slow and avoidance–tolerance trait tradeoffs can provide new insig.t into diverg.nce in ecophysiolog.cal strateg.es among.plant functional g.oups. Here, we tested a hypothesis that the differentiation across deciduous, semi-deciduous and everg.een woody species contributes to physiolog.cal trait tradeoffs in a dry-hot valley savanna. We investig.ted 11 photosynthetic, morpholog.cal and hydraulic traits of 24 species including.8 deciduous, 10 semi-deciduous and 6 everg.een species. Deciduous species were g.ouped in the fast and avoidance side associated with hig. values of maximum photosynthetic rates,stomatal conductance and leaf size, while everg.een species were g.ouped in the slow and tolerance side associated with hig. photosynthetic water use efficiency, leaf mass per area, sapwood density, Huber value, leaf water potential at turg.r loss point and water potential causing.50% loss of stem hydraulic conductance. Semideciduous species g.nerally had intermediate trait values and represented different physiolog.cal characteristics when compared to deciduous and everg.een species. The physiolog.cal trait tradeoffs showed a close linkag. to the differentiation of these three leaf habits. Our finding. clearly reveal trait tradeoffs related to fast–slow and avoidance–tolerance strateg.es among.diverse savanna plants, sug.esting.a syndrome in multiple ecophysiolog. strateg.es across different leaf habits.

Effect of solidification cooling.rate on microstructure and tribolog. characteristics of Zn-4Si alloy

The main objective of this work was to modify the microstructure and enhance the tribolog.cal properties of a new Zn-4Si al-loy throug. a hig. solidification cooling.rate(SCR).According.to the results,by increasing.the SCR from 2.0 to 59.5℃/s the averag. size of primary Si particles and that of the g.ains reduced from 76.1 and 3780μm to less than about 14.6 and 460μm,***-ing.the SCR also enhanced the microstructural homog.neity,decreased the porosity content(by 50%),and increased the matrix hardness(by 36%).These microstructural chang.s enhanced the tribolog.cal *** instance,under the applied pressure of 0.5 MPa,an in-crease in the SCR from 2.0 to 59.5℃/s decreased the wear rate and the averag. friction coefficient of the alloy by 57%and 23%,*** wear mechanism was also chang.d from the severe delamination,adhesion,and abrasion in the slowly-cooled alloy to the mild tribolayer delamination/abrasion in the hig.-cooling.rate-solidified sample.
