This study deployed k-means clustering to formulate earthquake categories based on magnitude and consequence,using global earthquake data spanning from 1900 to *** on patterns within the historical data,numeric boundaries were extracted to categorize the magnitude,deaths,injuries,and damage caused by earthquakes into low,medium,and high *** a future earthquake incident,the classification scheme can be utilized to assign earthquakes into appropriate categories by inputting the magnitude,number of fatalities and injuries,and monetary estimates of total *** resulting taxonomy provides a means of classifying future earthquake incidents,thereby guiding the allocation and deployment of disaster management resources in proportion to the specific characteristics of each ***,the scheme can serve as a reference tool for auditing the utilization of earthquake management resources.

Fermented liquid feed for pigs： an ancient technique for the future

Fermented liquid feed is feed that has been mixed with water at a ratio ranging from 1：1.5 to 1：4. By mixing with water lactic acid bacteria and yeasts naturally occurring in the feed proliferate and produce lactic acid, acetic acid and ethano which reduces the pH of the mixture. This reduction in pH inhibits pathogenic organisms from developing in the feed. In addition, when this low pH mixture is fed, it reduces the pH in the stomach of pigs and prevents the proliferation of pathogens such as coliforms and Salmonella in the gastrointestinal tract. For piglets, the use of fermented liquid feed offers the possibility of simultaneously providing feed and water, which may facilitate an easier transition from sow＇s milk to solid feed. Secondly, offering properly produced fermented liquid feed may strengthen the role of the stomach as the first line of defense against possible pathogenic infections by lowering the pH in the gastrointestinal tract thereby helping to exclude enteropathogens. Finally, feeding fermented liquid feed to pigs has been shown to improve the performance of suckling pigs, weaner pigs and growing-finishing pigs. In this review, current knowledge about the use of fermented liquid feed in pig diets will be discussed. This will include a discussion of the desirable properties of fermented liquid feed and factors affecting fermentation. In addition, advantages and disadvantages of fermented liquid feed will be discussed including its effects on gastrointestinal health, intestinal pH and the types of bacteria found in the gastrointestinal tract as well as the effects of fermented liquid feeds on pig performance.

Human milk is considered to be the optimal source of infant nutrition. Some of the benefits of breastfeeding have been ascribed to human milk oligosaccharides(HMO). For instance, HMO can affect faecal characteristics such as stool consistency and stool frequency. Such effects on stool characteristics can be beneficial for young infants as hard stools and even constipation is common in that age group. Prebiotics in infant milk formulas have been introduced to exert similar functionalities. A specific mixture of prebiotics consists of a combination of short chain galacto-oligosaccharides and long-chain fructo-oligosaccharides(scgOS/lcFOS) in a ratio of 9:1. This specific mixture has been developed to closely resemble the molecular size composition of HMO. Many studies have been done with scgOS/lcFOS, and indicators for digestive comfort have often been included as secondary outcomes. This review summarizes the effects of scgOS/lcFOS(9:1) on stool consistency,stool frequency and transit time in healthy term and preterm infants. In several of the studies with scgOS/lcFOS in a ratio of 9:1 in infant milk formulas, positive effects of this mixture on stool characteristics such as stool consistency and stool frequency were observed. As stool consistency was shown to be correlated to whole gut transit time, scgOS/lcFOS can be hypothesised to have a role in reducing the risk of constipation.

Brugada syndrome is an inherited disease associated with an increased risk of lethal ventricular arrhythmias. Such arrhythmias stem from innate disruptions in cardiac electrophysiology. Typically, such arrhythmias occur in the third or fourth decade of life. However, Brugada syndrome may also affect geriatric patients. In this paper, we focus on the ageing patientwithBrugada syndrome, and specifically, on the interaction between Brugada syndrome and the more usually acquired clinical problems that may occur with increasing age, such as the use of cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular drugs, or the need for surgery. Such common conditionsmay also disrupt cardiac electrophysiology, thereby conferring added risk for Brugada syndrome patients. We present some considerations and recommendations that may serve as guidance to address these complexities.

In this study,the activity concentrations of the fallout radionuclide ~(137(Cs in 150 soil samples collected from 13 districts of Manisa Province were determined using a gamma ray spectrometer with a Na I(Tl) *** health risks to people resulting from external exposure were evaluated by estimating the outdoor absorbed gamma dose rate and annual effective dose rate(outdoor and indoor).The activity concentration ofCs varied from 3.6 ± 2.0 to 124.1 ± 11.0 Bq kg,with an average value of43.3 Bq *** average values of the outdoor absorbed gamma dose rate and annual effective dose(outdoor plus indoor) were found to be 1.3 n gy h,and 8.0 μSv y,(6.38 + 1.59 μSv y),*** results were compared with internationally recommended values.

Effect of hematopoietic stem cell on tumor necrosis factor-αexpression, spiral artery remodeling and placental apoptosis in lead-exposed pregnant mice

Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) on TNF-αexpression, spiral artery remodeling, and placental ***: The study used pregnant mice divided to five groups of treatment: group 1, without treatment;group 2, 1/12 LD50 of lead and Aquadest;group 3, 1/16 LD50 of lead and Aquadest, group 4, 1/12 LD50 of lead and 1×107 HSC;and group 5, 1/16 LD50 of lead and 1×107 HSC. Histopathology examination was performed to identify spiral artery remodeling. Immunohistochemistry analysis was conducted to characterize TNF-α expression and the apoptosis index. The data from all five groups were compared using the ANOVA ***:TNF-α expression differed significantly among the groups that were not exposed to lead, exposed to lead and exposed to lead after HSC treatment (Pgnificant difference of spiral artery remodeling between groups without lead-exposed, lead exposed and lead exposed followed HSC treatment (Pgnificant difference between groups without lead-exposed, lead exposed and lead exposed followed HSC treatment, but not in the groups of 1/16 LD50 of lead followed HSC (P>0.05).Conclusions:In lead-exposed pregnant mice, the administration of hematopoietic stem cell may decrease TNF-α expression, spiral artery remodeling, and placental apoptosis index but in the group of 1/16 LD50 of lead and HSC treatment, apoptosis index has no differences with those of control group.

This study investigates the need for credit supervision as conducted by on-site banking *** builds on a real bank on-site credit examination to compare the performance of a hypothetical self-supervision approach,in which banks themselves assess their loan portfolios without external intervention,with the on-site banking supervision approach of the Central Bank of *** experiment develops two machine learning classification models:the first model is based on good and bad ratings informed by banks,and the second model is based on past on-site credit portfolio examinations conducted by banking *** findings show that the overall performance of the on-site supervision approach is consistently higher than the performance of the self-supervision approach,justifying the need for on-site credit portfolio examination as conducted by the Central Bank.

gene disruption technology has long been beneficial for the study of male reproductive biology. However, because of the time and cost involved, this technology was not a viable method except in specialist laboratories. The advent of the CRISPR/Cas9 system ofgene disruption has ushered in a new era of genetic investigation. Now, it is possible to generate gene-disrupted mouse models in very tittle time and at very little cost. 1his Highlight article discusses the application of this technology to study the genetics of male fertility and looks at some of the future uses of this system that could be used to reveal the essential and nonessential genetic components of male reproductive mechanisms.
