This letter presents an approach to deal with robust Hstate and input hybrid estimation for continuous linear time-varying systems,where norm-bounded parameter uncertainty is appeared in the state and output matrices and a known input is incorporated in the state-space *** known input will influence the estimation due to parameter *** differential game theory approach,a sufficient solvable condition for the problem is proposed as well as a design method for the optimal *** with those based on nominal systems,the proposed approach significantly improves the estimator’s robustness to parameter uncertainty and known *** simulation example about a second-order resonant system illustrates the effectiveness of such an approach.

Fault detection problem for sampled-data systems is investigated in the framework of linear systems with jumps. Incipient actuator is a great challenge in fault detection for sampled-data systems. Utilizing H ∞ filtering technique, fault estimator is designed. One sufficient existence condition and the design algorithm for the detector are then both provided in terms of solution to a set of Riccati differential equation with finite discrete jumps.

State and input simultaneous estimation for discrete-time linear time varying systems with norm-bounded parametric uncertainty are addressed in H∞ *** linear quadratic game formulation,sufficient solvable conditions for the problem are presented in terms of solution to two Riccati *** possible estimator is then presented with separation innovation structure,where innovation is used to update state observation tuned by a gain matrix and simultaneously to provide input estimation through a projector *** state and input simultaneous estimation ability,the proposed estimator has a wide application in control,filtering,signal processing and fault diagnosis.

Fault identification for a class of nonlinear systems is considered,where the nonlinear term in the system satisfies local Lipschitz *** some fault detectability conditions are satisfied,the system is first decomposed into two subsystems,where one is coupled with and another is decoupled from *** asymptotic state observer is then designed for the fault-coupled subsystem,in which a fictitious input is introduced to assure the state observer is asymptotic *** is proven that the actuator faults would be reconstructed from the fictitious input under steady *** stability analysis of the state observer and fault identification scheme design is given in a constructive manner and finally such a procedure is equivalent to solving a set of linear matrix inequalities.

Actuator fault detection problem for sampled-data systems is investigated in an H∞ setting,where the effect from exogenous disturbance and uncertainties in the initial state to the residual is attenuated in a prescribed *** a problem is first formulated as a modified sampled-data control problem and it turns out the fault detector owns the jump system’s *** sufficient existence condition and the design algorithm for the detector are then both provided in terms of solution to a set of Riccati differential equation with finite discrete *** proposed approach for sampled-data actuator fault detection problem is a simple state-space method and it improves the existed results in two ***,robustness to the measurement noise and uncertainties in the initial state is ***,parameters of the sampled-data system are allowed to be time-varying.
