The white-blotched river stingray(Potamotrygon leopoldi)is a cartilaginous fish native to the Xingu River,a tributary of the Amazon River *** a rare freshwater-dwelling cartilaginous fish in the Potamotrygonidae family in which no member has the genome sequencing information available,*** provides the evolutionary details in fish phylogeny,niche adaptation,and skeleton *** this study,we present its draft genome of 4.11 Gb comprising 16,227 contigs and 13,238 scaffolds,with contig N50 of 3937 kb and scaffold N50 of 5675 kb in *** analysis shows that *** is a slow-evolving fish that diverged from elephant sharks about 96 million years ***,two gene families related to the immune system(immunoglobulin heavy constant delta genes and T-cell receptor alpha/delta variable genes)exhibit expansion in *** *** also identified the Hox gene clusters in *** and discovered that seven Hox genes shared by five representative fish species are missing in *** RNA sequencing data from *** and other three fish species demonstrate that fishes have a more diversified tissue expression spectrum when compared to *** functional studies suggest that lack of the gc gene encoding vitamin D-binding protein in cartilaginous fishes(both *** and Callorhinchus milii)could partly explain the absence of hard bone in their ***,this genome resource provides new insights into the niche adaptation,body plan,and skeleton formation of ***,as well as the genome evolution in cartilaginous fishes.

Chinese mitten crab(Eriocheir sinensis) is an important aquaculture species in *** analysis, although essential, has been hindered due to the lack of sufficient genomic or transcriptomic resources. In this study, transcriptome sequencing was conducted on 59 samples representing diverse developmental stages(fertilized eggs, zoea, megalopa, three sub-stages of larvae,juvenile crabs, and adult crabs) and different tissues(eyestalk, hepatopancreas, and muscle from juvenile crabs, and eyestalk, hepatopancreas, muscle, heart, stomach, gill, thoracic ganglia, intestine, ovary, and testis from adult crabs) of E. sinensis. A comprehensive reference transcriptome was assembled, including 19,023 protein-coding genes. Hierarchical clustering based on 128 differentially expressed cuticle-related genes revealed two distinct expression patterns during the early larval developmental stages, demonstrating the distinct roles of these genes in "crab-like" cuticle formation during metamorphosis and cuticle calcification after molting. Phylogenetic analysis of1406 one-to-one orthologous gene families identified from seven arthropod species and Caenorhabditis elegans strongly supported the hypothesis that Malacostraca and Branchiopoda do not form a monophyletic group. Furthermore, Branchiopoda is more phylogenetically closely related to hexapoda, and the clade of hexapoda and Branchiopoda and the clade of Malacostraca belong to the Pancrustacea. This study offers a high-quality transcriptome resource for E. sinensis and demonstrates the evolutionary relationships of major arthropod groups. The differentially expressed genes identified in this study facilitate further investigation of the cuticle-related gene expression networks which are likely associated with "crab-like" cuticle formation during metamorphosis and cuticle calcification after molting.

Oncolytic virotherapy(OVT)is a novel type of immunotherapy that induces anti-tumor responses through selective self-replication within cancer cells and oncolytic virus(OV)-mediated ***,talimogene laherparepvec(T-Vec)developed by the Amgen company in 2015,is the first FDA-approved OV product to be administered via intratumoral injection and has been the most successful OVT ***,the systemic administration of OVs still faces huge challenges,including in vivo pre-existing neutralizing antibodies and poor targeting delivery ***,state-of-the-art progress has been made in the development of systemic delivery of OVs,which demonstrates a promising step toward broadening the scope of cancer immunotherapy and improving the clinical efficacy of OV ***,this review describes the general characteristics of OVs,focusing on the action mechanisms of OVs as well as the advantages and disadvantages of *** emerging multiple systemic administration approaches of OVs are summarized in the past five *** addition,the combination treatments between OVT and traditional therapies(chemotherapy,thermotherapy,immunotherapy,and radiotherapy,etc.)are *** but not least,the future prospects and challenges of OVT are also discussed,with the aim of facilitating medical researchers to extensively apply the OVT in the cancer therapy.

The success of the prediction of Haicheng earthquake and the negligence of the Tangshan earthquake

The success of the prediction of Haicheng earthquake and the failure of the prediction of Tangshan earthquake were both well known in the world. What happened, why such a strong earthquake as occurred in Haicheng had been predicted successfully and with a small loss of lives and property? Why a successively strong earthquake about a year later in a region not so further was failure in the imminent stage of prediction and there were so many fatalities and a great degree of property? The author addresses these points based on these true experiences including the first hand experiences leading up to, during, and following these two earthquarter. In addition, he also introduced some seimic phenomena which he had seen after Chi-chi earthquake in Taiwan.

Thermal shock resistant 3D printed ceramics reinforced with MgAl_(2)O_(4) shell structure

The demand for the swirl nozzle with enhanced temperature resistance and lightweight properties is in-creasing as the thrust-to-weight ratio of aero-engines *** Al_(2)O_(3) ceramic swirl nozzle can maintain high strength in a hostile environment of high temperature and severe corrosion,while also meeting the requirements of aircraft to enhance efficiency and decrease ***,Al_(2)O_(3) ceramics are limited in their application for aerospace components due to their poor thermal shock resistance(TSR)stemming from their inherent *** work reported an innovative design and fabrication strategy based on photopolymerization 3D printing technology to realize the three-dimensional shell structure through element interdiffusion and nanoscale stacking of the reinforced *** this strategy,a novel type of the new dual-structure Al_(2)O_(3) ceramic composed of MgAl_(2)O_(4) shell structure and matrix could be con-structed in *** nano-sized MgAl_(2)O_(4) caused a crack passivation effect after the thermal shock,which could improve the strength and TSR of 3D-printed Al_(2)O_(3) *** addition,the effects of MgO content and sintering temperature on sintering behavior,flexural strength,porosity,and TSR of Al_(2)O_(3) ceram-ics manufactured by digital light processing(DLP)processing were systematically *** optimum overall performance of Al_(2)O_(3) ceramics was obtained at the sintering temperature of 1550℃and the MgO content of 1.0 wt.%,with a maximum flexural strength of 111.929 MPa and a critical temperature difference of 374.24℃for *** on the above research,an aero-engine swirl nozzle with high ther-mal shock resistance has been successfully prepared by ceramic 3D printing technology,which enhances high-temperature resistance and promotes lightweight design in aero-engine.

An efficient online histogram publication method for data streams with local differential privacy

Many areas are now experiencing data streams that contain privacy-sensitive *** the sharing and release of these data are of great commercial value,if these data are released directly,the private user information in the data will be ***,how to continuously generate publishable histograms(meeting privacy protection requirements)based on sliding data stream windows has become a critical issue,especially when sending data to an untrusted third *** histogram publication methods are unsatisfactory in terms of time and storage costs,because they must cache all elements in the current sliding window(sW).Our work addresses this drawback by designing an efficient online histogram publication(EOHP)method for local differential privacy data ***,in the EOHP method,the data collector first crafts a histogram of the current SW using an approximate counting ***,the data collector reduces the privacy budget by using the optimized budget absorption mechanism and adds appropriate noise to the approximate histogram,making it possible to publish the histogram while retaining satisfactory data *** experimental results on two different real datasets show that the EOHP algorithm significantly reduces the time and storage costs and improves data utility compared to other existing algorithms.

Recent advances in fermentative biohydrogen production

Hydrogen energy, as a kind of clean energy with great potential, has been a hotspot for study worldwide. Based on the recent research on biohydrogen production, this paper gives a brief review on the following aspects: fermentative hydrogen production process and the engineering control statagy, key factors affecting the effciency of hydrogen production, such as substrates, cysteine, metal ions, anaerobic fermentation terminal products, and formic acid and ammonia. Moreover, anaerobic fermentative hydrogen-producing strain and reg- ulation and control of enzyme gene in fermentative hydrogen production are also discussed. Finally, the prospect of anaerobic fermen- tative biohydrogen production is proposed in three study areas, namely developing new techniques for breeding hydrogen-producing bacteria, exploitations of more strains and gene resources, and intensifying the application of microbial molecular breeding in hydrogen production.

研究发现,盐酸肾上腺素在碱性条件下能显著增强铁氰化钾-鲁米诺化学发光强度。基于此建立了新的测定肾上腺素的方法。本方法以C18反相键合相为色谱柱,用0.01 mol/L邻苯二甲酸氢钾-甲醇（92∶8,V/V）为流动相,实现了对人体血清及尿样中盐酸肾上腺素的分离与测定。在最适宜条件下,方法的线性范围为10;000μg/L;检出限为4.0×10-6g/L;相对标准偏差为3.0%（n=11）。
