Intestinal lipomatosis is a rare disease with an incidence at autopsy ranging from 0.04% to 4.5%.Because the lipomas are diffusely distributed in the intestine,most patients are symptom-free,and invasive intervention is not advised by most ***,we describe a case with intussusception due to small-bowel *** small bowel resection and anastomosis were performed because the intestinal wall was on the verge of *** case indicates that regular followup is necessary and endoscopic treatment should be considered to avoid surgical procedures if the lipoma is large enough to cause intestinal obstruction.

Currently,three types of superconducting quadrupole magnets are used in particle accelerators:cos 2θ,CCT,and ***,all three coil configurations have complex spatial geometries,which make magnet manufacturing and strain-sensitive superconductor applications *** with the three existing quadrupole coils,the racetrack quadrupole coil has a simple shape and manufacturing process,but there have been few theoretical *** this paper,the two-dimensional and three-dimensional analytical expressions for the magnetic field in coil-dominated racetrack superconducting quadrupole magnets are *** analytical expressions of the field harmonics and gradient are fully resolved and depend only on the geometric parameters of the coil and current ***,a genetic algorithm is applied to obtain a solution for the coil geometry parameters with field harmonics on the order of 10^(-4).Finally,considering the practical engineering needs of the accelerator interaction region,electromagnetic design examples of racetrack quadrupole magnets with high gradients,large apertures,and small apertures are described,and the application prospects of racetrack quadrupole coils are analyzed.

Effect of heat treatment on corrosion behaviors of Mg-6Gd-3Y-0.5Zr alloy

The microstructures and corrosion behaviors of as-cast,T4-treated,and T6-treated Mg-6Gd-3Y-0.5Zr alloys were systematically investigated by SEM,TEM,immersion test,and electrochemical corrosion *** results show that the microstructure of the as-cast alloy is composed ofα-Mg and Mg_(24)(Gd,Y)_(5)eutectic phase,and in T4-treated alloy,Mg_(24)(Gd,Y)_(5)phase dissolves into theα-Mg matrix,leading to an increase in the(Y,Gd)H_(2)*** T6 treatment,nanoscale Mg_(24)(Gd,Y)_(5)phase dispersedly precipitates from theα-Mg matrix,and exhibits a specific orientation relationship with theα-Mg:(332)Mg_((24)(Gd,Y)_(5))//(1011)_(α-Mg),[136]Mg_((24)(Gd,Y)_(5))//[1210]_(α-Mg).The corrosion resistance of the Mg-6Gd-3Y-0.5Zr alloys can be ranked in the following order:T6-treated alloy exhibits the highest corrosion resistance,followed by the T4-treated alloy,and finally,the as-cast *** corrosion products of the alloys are all composed of MgO,Mg(OH)_(2),Gd_(2)O_(3),Y_(2)O_(3),and MgCl_(2).The corrosion behavior of Mg-6Gd-3Y-0.5Zr alloy is closely related to the precipitated *** establishing the relationship between corrosion rate,hydrogen evolution rate,and corrosion potential,it is further demonstrated that during the micro galvanic corrosion process,the coarse Mg_(24)(Gd,Y)_(5)phase in the as-cast alloy undergoes extensive dissolution,and(Y,Gd)H_(2)phase promotes the dissolution of theα-Mg matrix in the T4-treated alloy,intensifying the hydrogen evolution *** T6-treated alloy,with dispersive precipitation of nanoscale Mg_(24)(Gd,Y)_(5)phase,exhibits better corrosion resistance performance.

Objective： Pancreatic fistula （PF） is a common complication after pancreaticoduodenectomy （PD） and there is no consensus regarding the criteria to define PF. The study was undertaken to determine the risk factors for PF according to the definition of the International Study Group on Pancreatic Fistula （ISGPF） and to delineate its impact on patient outcome. Methods： Between March 1994 and May 2009, data from 153 consecutive patients with malignant tumors underwent a PD with pancreaticojejunostomy in the Peking University People＇s Hospital were recorded prospectively A total of 24 factors were examined with univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to estimate relative risks, and their 95% confidence intervals （95% CI） and odds ratio （OR）. Results： Our institution belonged to medium-volume center and PF occurred in 30 patients （19.6%）. Pancreatic texture, early postoperative hemorrhage and pancreatic pathologies correlated with PF rates significantly in univariate analyses. But in multivariate regression, soft gland （OR, 4.934; 95% CI, 1.132-7.312） and early postoperative hemorrhage with conservative therapy （OR, 4.130; 95% CI, 1.057-21.112） were predictive. The mean postoperative length of stay in patients with PF was longer （32.7±23.9 versus 60.5±56.2 days） than patients without PF （P=0.001）. Overall 30-day mortality was not affected by the development of PF （P=0.657）. There was no difference in reoperation rates between patients with and without PF （10.0% versus 6.5%, P=0.787）. Concerning the sum of postoperative complications, there were 36 complications for 30 patients with PF, while 64 for 123 patients without PF. When patients with distal cholangiocarcinoma, ampullary and duodenal cancer were considered as a whole for survival analysis, the median survival for patients with PF was 20 months, whereas the median survival for patients without PF was 26 months. Neurotransmitter-initiated signaling pathway were reported to play an important role in regulating the malignant phenotype of tumor *** cells could exhibit a"neural addiction"property and build up local nerve networks to achieve an enhanced neurotransmitter-initiated signaling through nerve growth factor-mediated *** the dysregulated nervous systems might represent a novel strategy for cancer ***,whether intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(ICC)could build its own nerve networks and the role of neurotransmitters in the progression ICC remains largely *** staining and Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay suggested that IcC cells and the infiltrated nerves could generate a tumor microenvironment rich in acetylcholine that promotes IcC metastasis by inducing epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT).Acetylcholine promoted iCC metastasis through interacting with its receptor,alpha 5 nicotine acetylcholine receptor subunits(CHRNA5).furthermore,acetylcholine/CHRNA5 axis activated GSK3β/β-catenin signaling pathway partially through the influx of Ca^(2+)-mediated activation of Ca/calmodulin-dependent protein kinases(CAMKll).In addition,acetylcholine signaling activation also expanded nerve infiltration through increasing the expression of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor(BDNF),which formed a feedforward acetylcholine-BDNF axis to promote ICC ***93,a small-molecule inhibitor of CAMKIll,significantly inhibited the migration and enhanced the sensitivity to gemcitabine of ICC *** all,Acetylcholine/CHRNA5 axis increased the expression ofβ-catenin to promote the metastasis and resistance to gemcitabine of ICC via CAMKIl/GSK3βsignaling,and the CAMKIl inhibitor KN93 may be an effective therapeutic strategy for combating ICC metastasis.

Predicting the thickness of Thermally Grown Oxide(TGO)and the residual stresses induced by TGO growth in the Thermal Barrier Coatings(TBCs)is significant work in analyzing the failure of *** practical applications,the operating temperature,oxygen partial pressure,aluminium content in TBCs,and porosity of the topcoat affect the oxidation ***,a novel oxidation rate model is proposed to describe the effect of such *** parameters in the proposed model were fitted with isothermal degradation test data from prior ***,a method for calculating the residual stress in a disk-shaped specimen was developed based on the oxidized growth strain model and the oxidized ***,a variable-temperature oxidation experiment was performed to validate the new oxidation *** average error between the predicted and experimental thicknesses is approximately 10%,and the average error between the residual stresses is 30%.Under the variable-temperature condition,the error between the predicted thickness and the average experimental thickness is 3.9%.

The electrochemical methanol oxidation is a crucial reaction in the conversion of renewable *** enable the widespread adoption of direct methanol fuel cells(DMFCs),it is essential to create and engineer catalysts that are both highly effective and robust for conducting the methanol oxidation reaction(MOR).In this work,trimetallic PtCoRu electrocatalysts on nitrogen-doped carbon and multi-wall carbon nanotubes(PtCoRu@NC/MWCNTs)were prepared through a two-pot synthetic *** acceleration of CO oxidation to CO_(2) and the blocking of CO reduction on adjacent Pt active sites were attributed to the crucial role played by cobalt atoms in the as-prepared *** precise control of Co atoms loading was achieved through precursor *** physicochemical techniques were employed to analyze the morphology,element composition,and electronic state of the *** investigations and theoretical calculations confirmed that the Pt_(1)Co_(3)Ru_(1)@NC/MWCNTs exhibit excellent electrocatalytic performance and durability for the process of *** enhanced MOR activity can be attributed to the synergistic effect between the multiple elements resulting from precisely controlled Co loading content on surface of the electrocatalyst,which facilitates efficient charge *** interaction between the multiple components also modifies the electronic structures of active sites,thereby promoting the conversion of intermediates and accelerating the MOR ***,achieving precise control over Co loading in PtCoRu@NC/MWCNTs would enable the development of high-performance catalysts for DMFCs.
