In recent yea.s,Non-Intrusive Loa.Monitoring (NILM) ha. become a. emerging a.proa.h tha. provides a.forda.leenergy ma.a.ement solutions using a.grega.ed loa. obta.ned from a.single sma.t meter in the power ***, by integra.ing Ma.hine Lea.ning (ML), NILM ca. efficiently use electrica. energy a.d offer less ofa.burden for the energy monitoring process. However, conducted resea.ch works ha.e limita.ions for rea.-timeimplementa.ion due to the pra.tica. issues. This pa.er a.ms to identify the contribution of ML a.proa.hes todeveloping a.relia.le Energy Ma.a.ement (EM) solution with NILM. Firstly, pha.es of the NILM a.e discussed,a.ong with the resea.ch works tha. ha.e been conducted in the doma.n. Secondly, the contribution of ma.hinelea.ning a.proa.hes in three a.pects is discussed: Supervised lea.ning, unsupervised lea.ning, a.d *** highlights the limita.ions in the a.plica.ility of ML a.proa.hes in the field. Then, the cha.lenges in the rea.timeimplementa.ion a.e concerned with six use ca.es: Difficulty in recognizing multiple loa.s a. a.given time,cost of running the NILM system, la.k of universa. fra.ework for a.plia.ce detection, a.oma.y detection a.dnew a.plia.ce identifica.ion, a.d complexity of the electricity loa.s a.d rea.-time dema.d side ***, options for selecting a. a.proa.h for a. efficientNILMfra.ework a.e suggested. This study presents a.proba.ilistic seismic risk model for the Beijing–Tia.jin–Hebei region in China. The model comprises a.township-level residentia. building exposure model, a.vulnera.ility model derived from the Chinese building ta.onomy,a.d a.regiona. proba.ilistic seismic ha.a.d model. The three components a.e integra.ed by a.stocha.tic event-ba.ed method of the OpenQua.e engine to a.sess the regiona. seismic risk in terms of a.era.e a.nua. loss a.d exceeda.ce proba.ility curve a. the city, province, a.d regiona. levels. The novelty a.d uniqueness of this study a.e tha. a.proba.ilistic seismic risk model for the Beijing–Tia.jin–Hebei region in China.is developed by considering the impa.t of site conditions a.d epistemic uncerta.nty from the seismic ha.a.d model.
