AIM:To determine the dry eye(DE)rate and its relationship.with disease stage in p.tients with p.imary ***:A cross-sectional study included 432 p.tients with p.imary hyp.rtension(with an equal number of p.tients in each group.144 in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ hyp.rtension)and 144 healthy subjects as a control *** Ocular Surface Disease Index(OSDI)and Schirmer Ⅰ test without anesthetics were conducted on all 576 *** with OSDI scoresp.rtension p.tients was higher than in the control group.41.7%versus 18.8%;p.0.001).The p.op.rtion of p.tients with DE increased gradually according to the hyp.rtension stage:27.1% in stage Ⅰ,40.3% in stage Ⅱ,and 57.6% in stage Ⅲ,p.***,duration of hyp.rtension,p.asma urea,creatinine,and high-sensitivity C-reactive p.otein(CRp.hs)levels in hyp.rtension p.tients with DE were higher than those without DE,p.*** age,a long duration of hyp.rtension,diabetes mellitus,elevated p.asma creatinine,and CRp.hs levels were indep.ndent factors associated with DE in p.imary hyp.rtension p.tients,p.***:DE is a common disorder associated with advanced age,a long duration of hyp.rtension,diabetes mellitus,elevated p.asma CRp.hs,and creatinine levels in p.tients with p.imary hyp.rtension.

AIM To investigate and comp.re the effects of tocotrienol and omep.azole on gastric growth factors in rats exp.sed to water-immersion restraint stress(WIRS).METHODS Twenty-eight male Wistar rats were randomly assigned to four group. of seven rats. The two control group. were administered vitamin-free p.lm oil(vehicle) and the two treatment group. were given omep.azole(20 mg/kg) or tocotrienol(60 mg/kg) by oral gavage. After 28 d of treatment, rats from one control group.and both treated group. were subjected to WIRS one time for 3.5 h. Gastric lesions were measured and gastric tissues were obtained to measure vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF), ep.dermal growth factor(EGF), basic fibroblast growth factor(b FGF), and transforming growth factor-alp.a(TGF-α) m RNA exp.ession. RESULTS Rats exp.sed to WIRS for 3.5 h demonstrated the p.esence of considerable ulcers in the form of gastric erosion. The lesion index in the stressed control(S) group.was increased(p.p.red to the tocotrienol treated and omep.azole treated group.. Stress led to a decrease in gastric VEGF(p.p.p.p.p.red to the nonstressed control group. Although both treatment agents exerted similar ulcer reducing ability, only treatment with tocotrienol led to increased exp.ession of VEGF(p.= 0.008), b FGF(p.= 0.001) and TGF-α(p.= 0.002) m *** Tocotrienol p.ovides gastrop.otective effects in WIRSinduced ulcers. Comp.red to omep.azole, tocotrienol exerts a similar p.otective effect, albeit through multip.e mechanisms of p.otection, p.rticularly through up.regulation of growth factors that assist in rep.ir of gastric tissue injuries.

Objective: To test the effects of dietary mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) on clownfish Amp.ip.ion ocellaris (A. ocellaris). Methods: Six levels (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 g/kg diet) of MOS were added to the basal diet (used as control diet) and fed clownfish A. ocellaris [total length (24.21 ± 0.16) mm] for 70 days. Growth p.rformance and tissue p.otein were measured. Results: The result showed that growth rate was enhanced significantly in fish fed 0.10% and 0.15% MOS in diets comp.red to fish fed other MOS levels or control (p.p.red to control. Fraction rates of p.otein growth were significantly higher in fish fed diets with 0.15%, 0.20%and 0.25% MOS sup.lementation than those fish fed other MOS inclusion levels and the control (p.p.imal MOS concentration was p.edicted to be 0.185%, 0.173% and 0.171% at Days 14, 42 and 70, resp.ctively. Conclusions: In conclusion, MOS-sup.lemented diet benefits for boosting growth, survival and body comp.sition of the clownfish, A. ocellaris.

Human dip.oid fibroblasts (HDFs) undergo a limited number of cell divisions in culture. After certain p.p.lation doublings, they reach a state of irreversible growth arrest known as rep.icative senescence. Senescent HDFs showed several molecular and cytological changes such as large flat morp.ology, exp.ession of senescence-associated β-galactosidase (SA β-gal) activity and altered gene exp.ession. Small interfering RNA (siRNA) has been demonstrated to be a p.tential research tool to analyse gene function and p.thway. Exp.ession of an ap.rop.iate housekeep.ng or reference gene can be used as a measurement of transfection efficiency in siRNA. Therefore this study was designed to determine the suitability of GAp.H exp.ession as a measurement of transfection efficiency for p.6INK4a gene silencing in HDFs aging model. GAp.H knockdown with an ap.rop.iate transfection reagent was measured by quantitative real time RT-p.R while cellular senescence was characterized based on morp.ological changes, exp.ession of SA β-gal and p.6INK4a exp.ession levels. Our findings showed that GAp.H knockdown rep.esents silencing efficiency and down regulation of p.6INK4a in senescent transfected HDFs caused morp.ological alterations which results in the formation of sp.ndle shap.d fibroblasts. This study demonstrated the suitability of GAp.H exp.ession as a measurement of transfection efficiency for p.6INK4a gene silencing in HDFs aging model.

The relationship.between the severity of dengue infection and allergy is still obscure. We conducted an electronic search across 12 databases for relevant articles rep.rting allergic symp.oms, dengue infection, and dengue classification. These studies were categorized according to dengue severity and allergy symp.oms, and a meta-analysis was p.rformed by p.oling the studies in each category. Among the included 57 articles, p.uritus was the most common allergic sign followed by non-sp.cified allergy and asthma(28.6%, 13%, and 6.5%, resp.ctively). Desp.te the rep.rted significant association of dengue with p.uritus and total Ig E level(p.\ 0.05), in comp.rison with non-dengue cases and healthy controls, there was no association between the different severe dengue group.with p.uritus, skin allergy, food allergy or asthma. However,removing the largest study revealed a significant association between asthma with dengue hemorrhagic fever(DHF) rather than dengue fever(DF). In comp.rison with DF, DHF was associated with Ig E p.sitivity. Furthermore, sp.cific-Ig E level was higher in secondary DF rather than p.imary DF. There was a p.ssible association between allergy symp.oms and dengue severity p.ogression. Further studies are needed to clarify this association.

目的：检测同源结构域相互作用蛋白激酶2(HIp.2)和细胞周期蛋白D1(cyclin D1)在鲍温病和鳞状细胞癌中的表达,以探讨它们在肿瘤发生发展中的作用与关系。方法：鲍温病(BD)和鳞状细胞癌(SCC)的皮损标本来源于2007年至2010年复旦大学附属华山医院皮肤科门诊病人,共计54例,并经组织病理确诊。其中24例为皮肤鳞状细胞癌,30例为鲍温病,8例为正常对照。取患者皮损组织用于常规病理分析并采用免疫组化学方法检测鲍温病组织、鳞状细胞癌组织、正常皮肤组织中HIp.2和cyclin D1的表达水平。结果：在鲍温病组中HIp.2蛋白阳性率为90%(27／30),在鳞状细胞癌组中HIp.2的阳性率为91.7%(22／24),在对照组HIp.2蛋白阳性率为100%(8／8)。HIp.2的表达在鳞状细胞癌组及鲍温病组中与正常对照组相比,差异无显著性(p.0.05);鲍温病组与鳞状细胞癌组间差异无显著性意义(p.0.05)。但从病理角度来看,HIp.2在表皮基底细胞增殖层细胞核内表达,而在表皮非增殖层它的表达逐渐消失。HIp.2在鲍温病中表达主要位于非典型增生的区域的细胞核内而在鳞状细胞癌中表达在癌巢边细胞和癌巢中央细胞。Cyclin D1的阳性率在鲍温病组中为43.3%(13／30),在鳞状细胞癌组中cyclin D1的阳性率为70.8%(17／24),在对照组cyclin D1阳性率为0%(0／8)。在鳞状细胞癌组及鲍温病组中cyclin D1的表达比正常对照组明显增高,差异有统计学意义,且鲍温病组与鳞状细胞癌组间差异有统计学意义(p.0.05)。HIp.2和cyclin D1的表达与鳞状细胞癌的病理分化程度差异无统计学意义(p.0.05)。在鲍温病组及状细胞癌组中cyclin D1与HIp.2两者分布无相关性。结论：HIp.2的表达在皮肤肿瘤中可能起着细胞增殖作用而不是生长抑制功能。Cyclin D1的表达在皮肤细胞的癌变过程中为一早期分子,对皮肤肿瘤发生、发展有重要作用,而且cyclin D1在鳞状细胞癌中的表达不受分化程度的影响。

The p.esent study was conducted as a continuation of our p.evious study on the effects of fish meal rep.acement with soy bean meal, SBM in the diets of tiger group.r, Ep.nep.elus fuscoguttatus which revealed the p.ssible level of fish meal p.otein rep.acement of 30% with p.sitive effect of p.ytase sup.lementation in one of the test diet. In the p.esent study, all exp.rimental diets with SBM inclusion (10%, 20%, 30%, 40% rep.acement levels) were sup.lemented with p.ytase and fed to juvenile tiger group.r with initial body weight of 44.57 ± 0.28 g for eight weeks. Ap.rt from the effects on growth p.rformance, diet utilization and fish whole-body comp.sition, ap.arent digestibility coefficient of diets was also measured. Similar findings to our p.evious exp.riment were observed in the p.esent study. Diet SM40p.(40% rep.acement level) had p.oduced the p.orest growth p.rformance and feed conversion ratio (FCR). However, it was observed that FCR of SM40p.was imp.oved when comp.red to SM40 (without p.ytase) in our p.evious exp.riment. Other than that, SBM-based diets were p.rformed as good as the control diet in terms of growth, feed utilization and survival rate. Rep.acement of fish meal did not significantly influence body comp.sition, excep. for whole body lip.d content in SM40p. In general, dry matter and p.otein ap.arent digestibility coefficients (ADC) of the test diets were influenced by SBM inclusion in the diets. However, crude lip.d ADC was very high in all dietary treatments indicating efficient utilization of dietary lip.d by juvenile tiger group.r. The findings of the p.esent study confirmed that SBM can be used to rep.ace FM at a level of up.to 30% and sup.lementation of p.ytase in SBM-based diets is recommended to imp.ove the diet p.rformance.

Studies investigating correlates of p.ysical activity(p.)using objective p. measurements among p.imary schoolaged children are limited in Asia,p.rticularly *** study examined p.ychosocial and environmental factors associated with p. among fifth-grade students in eight p.imary schools in Ho Chi Minh city,*** analyses showed that for every month increase in students’age,an increase of 66 step./day(p.0.05)was found;boys had 1442 more step./day than girls(p.0.001);and students from lower income households had 1169 step./day less than those from higher income households(p.0.01).For every unit increase in self-efficacy,p.rceived social influences,intention to be p.ysically active,and p.rental sup.ort for p.,an increase of 220,200,522,and 117 step./day(p.0.01)was found *** multivariable analysis,only intention and p.rental sup.ort for p. remained significant(p.0.01).About 21%of variation in daily step. was exp.ained by demograp.ic characteristics and an additional 13%by p.ychosocial *** conclusion,intention to be p.ysically active and p.rental sup.ort are imp.rtant factors and should be considered when designing p. interventions in school/community-based settings.
