Liver cirrhosis progresses through multiple clinical stages which culminate in either death or liver *** of organs,timely listing and prompt receipt of donor-livers pose difficulties in improving transplant-listed and transplant *** this regard,regenerative therapies,particularly with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(GcSF),has become a lucrative option for improving transplant-free ***,the literature is confusing with regards to patient selection and real *** this exhaustive review,we describe the basics of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis through novel insights from a therapeutic point of view,discuss preclinical studies on GcSF in advanced liver disease to improve on clinical utility,shed light on the pertinent literature of GcSF in advanced cirrhosis,and provide astute inputs on growth factor therapy in decom-pensated cirrhosis.

Substituted imidazoles are of interest because of their useful biological activities. While several methods have been developed for the synthesis of such compounds, some of the reported methods utilize corrosive or toxic catalysts. We report a bismuth (III) triflate catalyzed multicomponent synthesis of 2,4,5-trisubstituted imidazoles. Bismuth (III) compounds are attractive from a green chemistry perspective because they are remarkably non-toxic and non-corrosive. Multicomponent syntheses save time and generate less waste.

Highly sensitive stimuli-responsive luminescent materials are crucial for appli-cations in optical sensing,security,and ***,we report two zero-dimensional(0D)copper(I)halides,(TEP)_(2)cu_(2)Br_(4),(TEP)_(2)cu_(4)Br_(6),and 1D(TEP)_(3)Ag_(6)Br_(9),which are comprised of isolated[cu_(2)Br_(4)]^(2-),[cu_(4)Br_(6)]^(2-),and[Ag_(6)Br_(9)]3-polyanions,respectively,separated by TEP^(+)(tetraethylphosphonium[TEP])cations.(TEP)_(2)cu_(2)Br_(4) and(TEP)_(2)cu_(4)Br_(6) demonstrate greenish-white and orange-red emissions,respectively,with near unity photoluminescence quantum yields,while(TEP)_(3)Ag_(6)Br_(9) is a poor light *** spectroscopy mea-surements and density-functional theory calculations reveal that photoemissions of these compounds originate from self-trapped excitons due to the excited-state distor-tions in the copper(I)halide *** of cu(I)halides are radioluminescence active at room temperature under both X-andγ-rays *** light yields up to 15,800 ph/MeV under 662 keVγ-rays of ^(137)cs suggesting their potential for scintillation ***,(TEP)_(2)cu_(2)Br_(4) and(TEP)_(2)cu_(4)Br_(6) are inter-convertible through chemical stimuli or reverse *** addition,both compounds demonstrate luminescence on-off switching upon thermal *** sensitivity of(TEP)_(2)cu_(2)Br_(4) and(TEP)_(2)cu_(4)Br_(6) to the chemical and thermal stimuli coupled with their ultrabright emission allows their consideration for applications such as solid-state lighting,sensing,information storage,and anticounterfeiting.

Social determinants of health(SDOH)affect quality of *** investigated SDOH impacts on self-perceived resilience among people with adult congenital heart disease(AcHD).Secondary analysis of data from two com-plementary studies:a survey study conducted May 2021–June 2022 and a qualitative study conducted June 2020–August *** was assessed through cD-RISc10 score(range 0–40,higher scores reﬂect greater self-perceived resilience)and interview *** and SDOH(education,employment,living situa-tion,monetary stability,ﬁnancial dependency,area deprivation index)data were collected by healthcare record review and *** used linear regression with robust standard errors to analyze survey data and performed a thematic analysis of interview *** participants(N=127)mean age was 42±14 years;51%were female,87%*** was moderate(75%)or complex(25%);41%functional class c or ***(mean 30±7)varied by monetary stability:compared to people with difﬁculty paying bills,resilience was 15.0 points higher(95%cI:6.9–23.1,pcI:5.9–22.4,p=0.001)for those reporting just enough *** participants’(N=25)mean age was 32 years(range 22–44);52%were female,72%*** was moderate(56%)or complex(44%);76%functional class c or *** discussed factors affecting resilience aligned with each of the major SDOH,prominently,economic stability and healthcare access and *** stability may be important for supporting self-perceived resi-lience in *** knowledge can inform the development of resilience interventions for this population.

Aim:Deregulation of microRNAs(miRNAs)expression has been identified in hepatocellular carcinoma(Hcc),but few results are *** objective of this study is to investigate“Hcc tumor type specific”and“tumor common”miRNA ***:The authors integrate and analyze clinical,etiologic and miRNA profiles data from 9 types of solid tumors in The cancer Genome Atlas(TcGA)and Hcc data from columbia University Medical center(cUMc).Results:Levels of 33 miRNAs were significant different between Hcc tumor and paired non-tumor tissues(over 2-fold changes)after Bonferroni correction for multiple comparisons,and most(28 miRNAs)were down-regulated in Hcc *** this panel,the authors well classified Hcc tumor tissues with 4 misclassifications among 48 paired *** this panel in an additional 302 Hcc tumor tissues,the authors almost perfectly distinguished tumor from non-tumor tissues with only two misclassifications(99%of Hcc tissues correctly classified).Evaluating miRNA profiles in 32 independent Hcc paired tissues from cUMc,the authors observed 40 miRNAs significantly deregulated in Hcc with over 2-fold changes;14 overlapped with those identified in *** analyses by Hcc etiology found that 4 upregulated and 8 downregulated miRNAs were significantly associated with alcohol-related *** were 7 and 4 miRNAs significantly associated with hepatitis B virus-and hepatitis c virus-related Hcc,*** for the first time revealed that miR-24-1,miR-130a and miR-505 were significantly down-regulated only in Hcc tumors;miR-142 and miR-455 were significantly down-regulated in Hcc,but up-regulated in 5 other solid tumors;suggesting their Hcc“tumor type specific”characteristics.A panel of 8 miRNAs was significant in at least 5 tumor types,including Hcc,and was identified as“tumor common”***:The authors concluded that aberrant miRNA panels have Hcc“tumor type specificity”and may be affected by etiologic factors.

恶性卡他热是一种通常可感染包括猪在内的多种动物的散发性、致死性病毒病。能导致绵羊恶性卡他热的绵羊疱疹病毒2型(Ovine herpesvirus type 2,OvHV-2),可引起猪产生非特异性的临床症状,偶尔可引起猪死亡。美国一自繁自养猪场爆发的恶性卡他热,是通过从两头早先接触过绵羊、临床上受到感染的成年猪体内检测出OvHV-2的DNA后得到确诊的。在41头表现嗜睡、厌食和发热等临床症状的猪中,22头康复,19头死亡。两头临床受到感染的怀孕母猪出现了流产。通过PcR方法对病猪脾、脑和肺组织检测后鉴定出OvHV-2DNA。BLAST分析表明,PcR扩增产物测序结果与OvHV-2衣壳蛋白保守区的一致。由于猪恶性卡他热没有特异性的临床症状,而且呈少发、散发,因此很难诊断。PcR方法和血清学试验可用于本病的确诊。兽医应该可以从非特异性的临床症状、间歇性死亡和与羊的接触史等方面对猪恶性卡他热进行鉴别诊断。
