Indonesian nurses' perception of disaster management preparedness

Purpose: Using a quantitative approach, this study aims to assess Indonesian nurses' perception of their knowledge, skills, and preparedness regarding disaster management. Methods: This study was a descriptive comparison in design. The research samples are Indonesian nurses working in medical services and educational institutions. The variables of nurses' preparedness to cope with disaster victims were measured using the Disaster Preparedness Evaluation Tool (DPET), which was electronically distributed to all nurses in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using a statistical descriptive one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and t-test with a significance level of 95%. Results: In total, 1341 Indonesian nurses completed this survey. The average scores of preparedness to cope with disasters, the ability to recover from disaster, and evaluation of disaster victims were 3.13, 2.53, and 2.46, respectively. In general, nurses surveyed in this study are less prepared for disaster management, and do not understand their roles either during the phase of disaster preparedness or in coping with a postdisaster situation. Conclusion: Nurses' preparedness and understanding of their roles in coping with disasters are still low in Indonesia. Therefore, their capacity in preparedness, responses, recovery, and evaluation of disasters needs improvement through continuing education. The efforts needed are significant due to potential disasters in Indonesia.

目的系统评价座椅辅助阻力带运动(chair-based resistance band exercise,CRBE)对长期护理机构老年人身体功能、睡眠质量和抑郁的影响。方法对AgeLine,CINAhL,PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library,Scopus和Web of Science等数据库进行检索。检索时间为建库至2022年3月,纳入对慢性疾病老年人进行CRBE的随机对照试验研究。采用物理治疗证据数据库量表(the Physiotherapy Evidence Database,PEDro)对纳入文献进行质量评价,随机效应模型和固定效应模型用于生成集合效应量。结果共9篇文章符合纳入标准。结果显示,CRBE可促进日常生活活动(6项研究;SMD=0.30,P=0.001),肺活量(3项研究;MD=40.35,P<0.001),握力(5项研究;MD=2.17,P<0.001),上肢肌肉耐力(5项研究;MD=2.23,P=0.012),下肢肌肉耐力(4项研究;MD=1.32,P<0.001),上肢柔韧性(4项研究;MD=3.06,P=0.022),下体柔韧性(4项研究;MD=5.34,P<0.001),动态平衡(3项研究;MD=-0.35,P=0.011)、睡眠质量(2项研究;MD=-1.71,P<0.001),并减轻抑郁状况(2项研究;SMD=-0.33,P=0.035)。结论证据表明CRBE改善了长期慢性疾病老年人的身体功能参数、睡眠质量,并减轻抑郁状况。这项研究可用以敦促长期护理机构让行动不便的老年人参与体育活动。

A series Co-（18.5–20.7） at.% B melts encompassing the eutectic composition（Co81.5B18.5） were solidified at different degrees of undercooling. It is found that the metastable Co23B6 phase solidifies as a substitute for the stable Co3 B phase in the alloy melts undercooled above a critical undercooling value of -60 *** Co23B6 and α-Co phases make up a metastable eutectic. The corresponding eutectic composition and temperature are Co80.4B19.6 and 1343 K, respectively. On exposure of the metastable Co23B6 phase at a given temperature above 1208 K, it does not decompose even after several hours. But it transforms by a eutectoid reaction to α-Co ＋ Co3 B at lower temperature.

In the telecommunications sector, companies suffer serious damages due to fraud, especially in Africa. One of the main types of fraud is SIM box bypass fraud, which includes using SIM cards to divert incoming international calls from mobile operators creating massive losses of revenue. In order to provide a solution to these shortcomings that apply almost to all network operators, we developed intelligent algorithms that exploit huge amounts of data from mobile operators and that detect fraud by analyzing CDRs from voice calls. In this paper we used three classification techniques: Random Forest, Support Vector Machine (SVM) and XGBoost to detect this type of fraud;we compared the performance of these different algorithms to evaluate the model by using data collected from an operator’s network in Cameroon. The algorithm that produced a better performance was the Random Forest with 92% accuracy, so we effectuated the detection of existing fraudulent numbers on the telecommunications operator’s network.

Species of the genus Myceliophthora and its teleomorph Corynascus have attracted increasing interest due to their potential to produce thermostable *** study re-assessed the phylogenetic relationship of 49 isolates of nine species belonging to Myceliophthora and *** species,***,was shown not to belong to the genus Myceliophthora and should be placed in the genus *** other species belonged to two phylogenetic clusters:mesophilic fungi with the type species *** and ***,and thermophilic fungi with ***,*** and *** phylogenetic data provides no clear separation of the two genera Corynascus and *** avoid confusion in future taxonomic studies,it is proposed that all existing Corynascus species be renamed to Myceliophthora,which is the old name and the one more frequently ***,this study identified two groups within the isolates listed as *** and assigned one group(five isolates)to *** based on AFLP analysis and mating *** study provides new insights into the genetic differences within the genus Myceliophthora and will therefore be essential for the interpretation of future genomic and physiological studies of these species.

In view of the demographic changes and projected increase of arthroplasty procedures worldwide,the number of prosthetic joint infection cases will naturally ***,in order to counteract this trend more rigid rules and a stricter implementation of effective preventive strategies is of highest *** the absence of a"miracle weapon"priorities should lie in evidence-based measures including preoperative optimization of patients at higher infection risks,the fulfilment of strict hygiene rules in the operating theatre and an effective antibiotic prophylaxis *** of a"one size fits all"philosophy,it has been proposed to adjust the antibiotic prophylaxis protocol to major infection risks taking into account important patient-and procedure-related risk factors.A stronger focus on the local application mode via use of high dose dual antibioticloaded bone cement in such risk situations may have its advantages and is easy to apply in the *** more potent antimicrobial growth inhibition in vitro and the strong reduction of the prosthetic joint infection rate in risk for infection patients with aid of dual antibiotic-loaded bone cement in clinical studies align with this hypothesis.

Long-term, body-adhered medical devices rely on an adhesive interface to maintain contact with the patient. The greatest threat to on-body adhesion is mechanical stress imparted on the medical device. Several factors contribute to the ability of the device to withstand such stresses, such as the mechanical design, shape, and size of the device. This analysis investigates the impact that design changes to the device have on the stress and strain experienced by the system when acted on by a stressor. The analysis also identifies the design changes that are most effective at reducing the stress and strain. An explicit dynamic finite element analysis method was used to simulate several design iterations and a regression analysis was performed to quantify the relationship between design and resultant stress and strain. The shape, height, size, and taper of the medical device were modified, and the results indicate that, to reduce stress and strain in the system, the device should resemble a square in shape, be short in height, and small in size with a large taper. The square shape experienced 17.5% less stress compared to the next best performing shape. A 10% reduction in device height resulted in a 21% reduction in stress and 24% reduction in strain. A 20% reduction in device size caused a 7% reduction in stress and 2% reduction in strain. A 20% increase in device taper size led to a negligible reduction in stress and a 6% reduction in strain. The height of the device had the greatest impact on the resultant stress and strain.

Development of an empowerment model for burnout syndrome and quality of nursing work life in Indonesia

Objectives:This study aimed to develop an empowerment model for burnout syndrome and quality of nursing work life(QNWL).Methods:This study adopted a mixed-method cross-sectional *** variables included structural empowerment,psychological empowerment,burnout syndrome and *** population consisted of nurses who have civil servant status in one of the regional hospitals in *** participants were recruited using multi-stage sampling measures with 134 *** were collected using questionnaires,which were then analysed using partial least squares.A focus group discussion was conducted with nurses,chief nurses and the hospital management to identify strategic issues and compile ***:Structural empowerment influenced psychological empowerment(path coefficient=0.440;t=6.222)and QNWL(path coefficient=0.345;t=4.789).Psychological empowerment influenced burnout syndrome(path coefficient=-0.371;t=4.303),and burnout syndrome influenced QNWL(path coefficient=-0.320;t=5.102).Structural empowerment increased QNWL by 39.7%.Conclusion:The development of a structural empowerment model by using the indicators of resources,support and information directly influenced the psychological empowerment of the sample of *** an indicator of meaning,psychological empowerment decreased burnout *** turn,burnout syndrome,as the indicator of personal achievement,could affect the *** empowerment directly influenced the QNWL,particularly within the workplace *** studies must be conducted to analyse the effects of empowerment,leadership styles and customer satisfaction.
