Ecosystem health assessment is one of the most important issues in regional ecological quality and safety *** also has a great significance to ecological conservation and regional *** study focused on assessing the health status of forest,agriculture and urban ecosystems in the southwestern Beijing,China,including the Fangshan and fengtai *** on field surveys and data collection,an assessment index system containing the vigor,organization and resilience factors was developed to measure the ecosystem *** index was scored from 1 to 5,representing five levels that contribute to the whole ecosystem *** analytic hierarchy process(AHP)method was used to measure the weights of each index and three factors,and thus an overall score for a certain ecosystem was *** results show that the forest ecosystem in the Fangshan District had higher health value than the fengtai District,while the urban ecosystem had a slightly lower value in the Fangshan District than the fengtai *** districts show lower resilience values in forest and urban *** the ecosystem health will definitely benefit the long-term development of two *** study suggested that an approach for assessing the regional ecosystem health could be further developed to address spatial and synergy relationships between ecosystems and the three health factors.

Since December 2019,an increasing number of cases of pneumonia with unknown etiology(PUE)—later named as coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)by the World Health Organization(WHO)—was identified in Wuhan(1–3),a large city of 11 million people in central China,and the basic reproductive number(R0)was estimated to be 2.2(95%CI:1.4 to 3.9)(4).On March 11,2020,the WHO formally announced COVID-19 a worldwide pandemic based on the alarming levels of spread and severity and by the alarming levels of inaction(5).Although there is neither a vaccine nor specific medication available,the pandemic was well contained in China by the strict introduction of nonpharmacological interventions(NPIs)(6).

The Baguamiao superlarge gold deposit in Shaanxi Province is one of the typical cases in China that are hosted by sedimentary rocks. Explorers and researchers have discussed the gold mineralization enrichment conditions by studying sulphur, oxygen, carbon, silicon stable isotopes and mineralizing fluid features of the Baguamiao gold deposit and proposed a hydrothermal sedimentation-magmatic reconstructing gold mineralization model featuring multi-sources of ore-forming materials and multistage mineralizations. In addition, prospecting for “Baguamiao-type” gold deposits was started in the fengtai Basin and a great number of important prospecting targets such as Tonglinggou, Simaoling, Guoansi and Dachaigou were discovered.

Damage to Hippocampus of Rats after Being Exposed to Infrasound

Objective The objective was to observe damage of hippocampus in rats after exposure to infrasound, and to assess HSP70 expression in hippocampus. Methods SD rats in the experimental group were exposed to 140 d B（8 Hz） infrasound for 2 h per day for 3 days. The morphology of the hippocampus was examined by transmission electronic microscopic（TEM）. Cell apoptosis was observed by TUNEL staining at 0 h, 24 h, 48 h, and 2 w after exposure. HSP70 expression was detected by immunohistochemistry（IHC） and Western blotting（WB）. Results TEM showed that hippocampus was significantly damaged by exposure, and exhibited recovery 1 week after exposure. The TUNEL data showed that neuronal apoptosis after exposure was significantly higher than in the control rats at 24 h and 48 h, and the apoptotic cells decreased one week after exposure. IHC and WB showed HSP70 expression was significantly higher in the exposed rats, peaked at 24 h. Conclusion Exposure to 140 d B（8 Hz） infrasound for 2 h per day for 3 days appeared to induce damage to the hippocampus of rats, based on changes in ultrastructure and increased cell apoptosis. However, recovery from the damage occurred overtime. HSP70 expression also increased after the exposure and decreased by 48 h.

BACKGROUND During laparoscopic resection for colorectal cancer,there is controversy regarding whether the left colic artery(LCA)should be preserved at its *** To investigate the prognostic significance of preservation of the LCA in colorectal cancer *** Patients were divided into two *** high ligation(H-L)technique(refers to ligation performed 1 cm from the beginning of the inferior mesenteric artery)group consisted of 46 patients,and the low ligation(L-L)technique(refers to ligation performed below the initiation of the LCA)group consisted of 148 *** time,blood loss,lymph nodes with tumor invasion,postoperative complications and recovery time,recurrence rate,and 5-year survival rate were compared between the two *** The average number of lymph nodes detected in postoperative pathological specimens was 17.4/person in the H-L group and 15.9/person in the L-L *** were 20 patients(43%)with positive lymph nodes(lymph node metastasis)in the H-L group and 60 patients(41%)in the L-L *** statistical differences were found between the *** occurred in 12 cases(26%)in the H-L group and in 26 cases(18%)in the L-L *** incidences of postoperative anastomotic complications and functional urinary complications were significantly lower in the L-L *** 5-year survival rates in H-L and L-L groups were 81.7%and 81.6%,respectively,and relapse-free survival rates were 74.3%and 77.1%,*** two groups were similar *** Complete mesenteric resection combined with lymph node dissection around the inferior mesenteric artery root while preserving the LCA is a beneficial surgical approach during laparoscopic resection for colorectal cancer.

Background: Both natural killer(NK) and CD3+CD56+ natural killer T(NKT)-like cells play critical roles in the antitumor response. This study aimed to explore the effects of stereotactic body radiotherapy(SBRT) on peripheral NK and NKT-like cells in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC), and to identify possible surface markers on these cells that correlate with the prognosis. Methods: Twenty-five HCC patients were prospectively enrolled in our study, and 10 healthy individuals were served as healthy controls. Flow cytometry was used to determine the counts and the percentages of peripheral NK and NKT-like cells, cells with certain receptors, and cells with intracellular interferon-γand TNF-α secretion at different time points, including time points of prior to SBRT, at post-SBRT, and 3-month and 6-month after treatment. The Kaplan-Meier method with the log-rank test was applied for survival analysis. Results: The peripheral NKT-like cells was increased at post-SBRT. Meanwhile, elevated levels of inhibitory receptors and reduced levels of activating receptors of NK cells were also observed in NK cells at post-SBRT, but the levels was not significantly different at 3-month and 6-month as compared with the baseline levels. Lower percentage of NKp30+ NK cells before SBRT and higher percentage of CD158b + NK cells after SBRT were associated with poor progression-free survival. In addition, higher percentage of CD3+CD56+ NKT-like cells was associated with a higher overall survival rate in HCC patients. Conclusions: SBRT has an apparent effect on both peripheral NK and CD3+ CD56+ NKT-like cells. Lower percentage of NKp30 + NK cells before SBRT and higher percentage of CD158b + NK cells after SBRT are correlated with poor patients' PFS. Higher percentage of CD3+ CD56+ NKT-like cells is associated with higher OS in HCC patients.
