Quantification of CO_(2) Emissions from Three Power Plants in China Using OCO-3 Satellite Measurements

Coal-fired power plants are a major carbon source in China. In order to assess the evaluation of China's carbon reduction progress with the promise made on the Paris Agreement, it is crucial to monitor the carbon flux intensity from coal-fired power plants. Previous studies have calculated CO_(2) emissions from point sources based on Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 and-3(OCO-2 and OCO-3) satellite measurements, but the factors affecting CO_(2) flux estimations are uncertain. In this study, we employ a Gaussian Plume Model to estimate CO_(2) emissions from three power plants in China based on OCO-3 XCO_(2) measurements. Moreover, flux uncertainties resulting from wind information, background values,satellite CO_(2) measurements, and atmospheric stability are discussed. This study highlights the CO_(2) flux uncertainty derived from the satellite measurements. Finally, satellite-based CO_(2) emission estimates are compared to bottom-up *** satellite-based CO_(2) emission estimates at the Tuoketuo and Nongliushi power plants are ~30 and ~10 kt d^(-1) smaller than the Open-Data Inventory for Anthropogenic Carbon dioxide(ODIAC) respectively, but ~10 kt d^(-1) larger than the ODIAC at Baotou.

Understanding the Thermal Impedance of Silicone Rubber/Hexagonal Boron Nitride Composites as Thermal Interface Materials

Silicone rubber(SR) composites are most widely used as thermal interface materials(TIMs) for electronics heat dissipation. Thermal impedance as the main bottleneck limiting the performance of TIMs is usually neglected. Herein, the thermal impedance of SR composites loaded with different levels of hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN) as TIMs was elaborated for the first time by the ASTM D 5470 standard test and finite element analysis. It was found that elastic modulus and surface roughness of SR composites increased with the increase of h-BN content, indicating that the conformity was reduced. When the assembly pressure was 0.69 MPa, there existed an optimal h-BN content at which the contact resistance was minimum(0.39 K·cm^(2)·W^(-1)). Although the decreased bond line thickness(BLT) by increasing the assembly pressure was beneficial to reduce the thermal impedance, the proper assembly pressure should be selected to prevent the warpage of the contact surfaces and the increase in contact resistance, according to the compression properties of the SR composites. This study provides valuable insights into fabrication of high-performance TIMs for modern electronic device applications.

A novel algorithm for evaluating cement azimuthal density based on perturbation theory in horizontal well

Cement density monitoring plays a vital role in evaluating the quality of cementing projects,which is of great significance to the development of oil and ***,the presence of inhomogeneous cement distribution and casing eccentricity in horizontal wells often complicates the accurate evaluation of cement azimuthal *** this regard,this paper proposes an algorithm to calculate the cement azimuthal density in horizontal wells using a multi-detector gamma-ray detection *** spatial dynamic response functions are simulated to obtain the influence of cement density on gamma-ray counts by the perturbation theory,and the contribution of cement density in six sectors to the gamma-ray recorded by different detectors is obtained by integrating the spatial dynamic response *** with the relationship between gamma-ray counts and cement density,a multi-parameter calculation equation system is established,and the regularized Newton iteration method is employed to invert casing eccentricity and cement azimuthal *** approach ensures the stability of the inversion process while simultaneously achieving an accuracy of 0.05 g/cm^(3) for the cement azimuthal *** accuracy level is ten times higher compared to density accuracy calculated using calibration ***,this algorithm enhances the accuracy of cement azimuthal density evaluation,provides valuable technical support for the monitoring of cement azimuthal density in the oil and gas industry.

Genome wide association analysis identifies candidate genes for fruit quality and yield in Actinidia eriantha

Quality and yield are the primary concerns in kiwifruit breeding,but research on the genetic mechanisms of fruit size,shape,and ascorbic acid(ASA)content is currently very limited,which restricts the development of kiwifruit molecular *** this study,we obtained a total of 8.88 million highly reliable single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)markers from 140 individuals from the natural hybrid offspring of Actinidia eriantha cv.‘White’using whole genome resequencing technology.A genome-wide association study was conducted on eight key agronomic traits,including single fruit weight,fruit shape,ASA content,and the number of inflorescences per branch.A total of 59 genetic loci containing potential functional genes were located,and candidate genes related to single fruit weight,fruit length,ASA content,number of inflorescences per branch and other traits were identified within the candidate interval,such as AeWUSCHEL,AeCDK1(cell cycle dependent kinase),AeAO1(ascorbic oxidase)and AeCO1(CONSTANS-like 4).After constructing an RNAi vector for AeAO1 and injecting it into the fruit of cv.‘Midao 31’to interfere with the expression of the AeAO1 gene,the results showed that the activity of ascorbic oxidase in the fruit of‘Midao 31’significantly decreased,while the content of ASA significantly *** study provides valuable insights into the genetic basis of variation in *** fruit traits,which may benefit molecular marker-assisted breeding efforts.

Exploring charge and spin fluctuations in infinite-layer cuprate SrCuO_(2)from a phonon perspective

The infinite-layer cuprate ACu O_(2)(A=Ca,Sr,Ba)possesses the simplest crystal structure among numerous cuprate superconductors and can serve as a prototypical system to explore the unconventional *** on the first-principles electronic structure calculations,we have studied the electronic and magnetic properties of the infinite-layer cuprate SrCuO_(2)from a phonon *** find that interesting fluctuations of charges,electrical dipoles,and local magnetic moments can be induced by the atomic displacements of phonon modes in SrCuO_(2)upon the hole *** all optical phonon modes of SrCuO_(2)in the antiferromagnetic Néel state,only the A_(1g)mode that involves the full-breathing O vibrations along the Cu-O bonds can cause significant fluctuations of local magnetic moments on O atoms and dramatic charge redistributions between Cu and O ***,due to the atomic displacements of the A_(1g)mode,both the charge fluctuations on Cu and the electrical dipoles on O show a dome-like evolution with increasing hole doping,quite similar to the experimentally observed behavior of the superconducting T_(c);in comparison,the fluctuations of local magnetic moments on O display a monotonic enhancement along with the hole *** analyses indicate that around the optimal doping,there exists a large softening in the frequency of the A_(1g)phonon mode and a van Hove singularity in the electronic structure close to the Fermi level,suggesting potential electron-phonon *** work reveals the important role of the full-breathing O phonon mode playing in the infinite-layer SrCuO_(2),which may provide new insights in understanding the cuprate superconductivity.

MYB2 and MYB108 regulate lateral root development by interacting with LBD29 in Arabidopsis thaliana

AUXIN RESPONSE FACTOR 7(ARF7)-mediated auxin signaling plays a key role in lateral root(LR)development by regulating downstream LATERAL ORGAN BOUNDARIES DOMAIN(LBD)transcription factor genes,including LBD16,LBD18,and *** proteins are believed to regulate the transcription of downstream genes as homodimers or ***,whether LBD29 forms dimers with other proteins to regulate LR development remains ***,we determined that the Arabidopsis thaliana(L.)*** transcription factors MYB2 and MYB108 interact with LBD29 and regulate auxin-induced LR *** MYB2 and MYB108 were induced by auxin in an ARF7-dependent *** of MYB2 by fusion with an SRDX domain severely affected auxin-induced LR formation and the ability of LBD29 to induce LR *** contrast,overexpression of MYB2 or MYB108 resulted in greater LR numbers,except in the lbd29 mutant *** findings underscore the interdependence and importance of MYB2,MYB108,and LBD29 in regulating LR *** addition,MYB2–LBD29 and MYB108–LBD29 complexes promoted the expression of CUTICLE DESTRUCTING FACTOR 1(CDEF1),a member of the GDSL(Gly-Asp-Ser-Leu)lipase/esterase family involved in LR *** summary,this study identified MYB2–LBD29 and MYB108–LBD29 regulatory modules that act downstream of ARF7 and intricately control auxin-mediated LR development.

Betaine-homocysteine methyltransferase(BHMT)regulates protein methylation and is correlated with tumorigenesis;however,the effects and regulation of BHMT in hepatocarcinogenesis remain largely ***,we determined the clinical significance of BHMT in the occurrence and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)using tissue samples from 198 *** was to be frequently found(86.6%)expressed at relatively low levels in HCC tissues and was positively correlated with the overall survival of patients with *** overexpression effectively suppressed several malignant phenotypes in hepatoma cells in vitro and in vivo,whereas complete knockout of Bhmt(Bhmt^(−/−))produced the opposite *** combined proteomics,metabolomics,and molecular biological strategies and detected that Bhmt^(−/−)promoted hepatocarcinogenesis and tumor progression by enhancing the activity of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase(G6PD)and PPP metabolism in DEN-induced HCC mouse and subcutaneous tumor-bearing *** contrast,restoration of Bhmt with an AAV8-Bhmt injection or pharmacological inhibition of G6PD attenuated ***,coimmunoprecipitation identified monomethylated modifications of the G6PD,and BHMT regulated the methylation of *** sequence analysis,generation and application of specific antibodies,and site-directed mutagenesis indicated G6PD methylation at the arginine residue ***,we established bidirectionally regulated BHMT cellular models combined with methylation-deficient G6PD mutants to demonstrate that BHMT potentiated arginine methylation of G6PD,thereby inhibiting G6PD activity,which in turn suppressed *** together,this study reveals a new methylation-regulatory mechanism in hepatocarcinogenesis owing to BHMT deficiency,suggesting a potential therapeutic strategy for HCC treatment.
