Educated consumers don't believe artificial meat is the solution to the problems with the meat industry

The production of in vitro meat by cell culture has been suggested by some scientists as one solution to address the major challenges facing our society. Firstly, consumers would like the meat industry to reduce potential discomfort of animals on modern farms, or even to avoid killing animals to eat them. Secondly, citizens would like meat producers to reduce potential environmental deterioration by livestock and finally, there is a need to reduce world hunger by increasing protein resources while the global population is predicted to grow rapidly. According to its promoters, artificial meat has a potential to make eating animals unnecessary, to reduce carbon footprint of meat production and to satisfy all the nutritional needs and desires of consumers and citizens. To check these assumptions, a total of 817 educated people（mainly scientists and students） were interviewed worldwide by internet in addition to 865 French educated people. We also interviewed 208 persons（mainly scientists） after an oral presentation regarding artificial meat. Results of the three surveys were similar, but differed between males and females. More than half of the respondents believed that ＂artificial meat＂ was feasible and realistic. However, there was no majority to think that artificial meat will be healthy and tasty, except respondents who were in favour of artificial meat. A large majority of the respondents believed that the meat industry is facing important problems related to the protection of the environment, animal welfare or inefficient meat production to feed humanity. However, respondents did not believe that artificial meat will be the solution to solve the mentioned problems with the meat industry, especially respondents who were against artificial meat. The vast majority of consumers wished to continue to eat meat even they would accept to consume less meat in a context of increasing food needs. The current research aims to implement the numerical resultsfor the Holling third kind of functional response delay differential modelutilizing a stochastic framework based on Levenberg-Marquardt backpropagationneural networks (LVMBPNNs). The nonlinear model depends uponthree dynamics, prey, predator, and the impact of the recent past. Threedifferent cases based on the delay differential system with the Holling 3^(rd) type of the functional response have been used to solve through the proposedLVMBPNNs solver. The statistic computing framework is provided byselecting 12%, 11%, and 77% for training, testing, and verification. Thirteennumbers of neurons have been used based on the input, hidden, and outputlayers structure for solving the delay differential model with the Holling 3rdtype of functional response. The correctness of the proposed stochastic schemeis observed by using the comparison performances of the proposed and referencedata-based Adam numerical results. The authentication and precision ofthe proposed solver are approved by analyzing the state transitions, regressionperformances, correlation actions, mean square error, and error histograms.

Naevus dysmorphia is a form of appearance concern/body image dissatisfaction, which describes a preoccupation withthe appearance of a clinically small melanocytic naevus. The naevus is perceived by the patient to be disfiguring. Such perception leads to maladaptive behaviours and is often associated with low mood, as well as high levels of anxiety and social avoidance. Affected individuals form a diverse group. However, what they have in common is that the distress experienced is disproportionate to the objective visual appearance of the mole. There is a range of severity of the impact on the individual's well being. Naevus dysmorphia may or may not be a cutaneous manifestation of body dysmorphic disorder(BDD). It is essential that patients with naevus dysmorphia are identified and distinguished from patients requesting removal of a mole for other uncomplicated cosmetic reason. Patients with naevus dysmorphia can be challenging to treat and communicate with. Surgical excision of the naevus will not address the underlying psychopathology and so it may not result in long-term positive outcome. Ideally, a detailed psychological assessment and formulation can be made potential y followed by psychological therapy tailored to the needs of the individual. A therapeutic trial of appropriate psychopharmacological course may be indicated in certain cases, e.g., when symptoms of a depressive disorder, anxiety disorder or BDD are present. A case series of 10 patients with naevus dysmorphia is presented, in order to highlight the above issues.

The southern forest ecosystem of Cameroon extends from latitude 2° to 6°N and from 10° to 16°E. In order to investigate about the influence of climate factors on the infrastructures, the main parameters of local climate of that ecosystem have been evaluated. The results show that, the factors are stable and have a common trend. But, the abundance of precipitations;the important hydrographic network and the presence of dense forest appear as the majors climatic constraints that may be taken in account to ensure the stability of the infrastructures in forest ecosystem.

In Ouagadougou, grilled meats in the form of pieces and brochettes are very popular and well-known to consumers. The aim of this study was to assess the microbial quality of mutton meat sold in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. A total of 120 samples were collected from 20 meat grillers 60 samples of fresh meat and 60 samples of grilled meat. The sampling was done between the month of August 2018 and the month of February 2019. The samples were analyzed according to standard methods. The test performed were counts of Aerobic Mesophilic Bacteria (AMB), yeasts and molds, enterobacteria, Campylobacter spp, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Brucella spp, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, the search for salmonella, and the detection of antibiotics residues. Results showed a high count of AMB (8.77 and 6.78 log UFC/g);enterobacteria (6.58 and 3.05 log UFC/g), Staphylococcus aureus (6.45 and 4.35 log UFC/g), Bacillus cereus (6.98 and 4.52 log UFC/g), Campylobacter (6.03 and 3.86 log UFC/g), yeasts and molds (4.80 and 3.26 log UFC/g) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (0.45 and 0.15 log UFC/g), respectively in fresh meat and grilled meat. Presumptive Salmonella was found in 95% of fresh meat samples and in 75% of grilled meat samples. In the tested samples, no Brucella spp were detected. However, residues of antibiotics were found in 5% of fresh meat samples and 5% of grilled meat samples. Means of moisture and pH were respectively 74.91% and 6.05% for fresh meat and 53.21% and 6.06% for grilled meat. The average microbial counts recorded in fresh and grilled meat are significantly high and indicate poor hygiene in the raw material and ready-to-eat meat. Good practices of hygiene and processing guides should be developed for the meat grilling value chain actors to reduce contamination risks.

The characterization of carbonated rocks of Mintom allowed identifying three features (massive limestone, banded limestone and dolomite). Samples taken in these features were subjected to the physico-chemical analyses and to the mechanical tests. The results obtained show a convergence in the mineralogical composition in particular in the calcareous features (smectite, micas and calcite);the dolomite feature being mainly constituted by dolomite associated with the smectite. The chemical composition allows finding contents raised in CaO, in all the samples. However, in the dolomite and the banded limestone, the concentrations in MgO and in SiO2 are also important. The mechanical properties showed a good compression resistance for the massive limestone and the dolomite, the mechanical behavior of the banded limestone being low. The exploitation of these results allows recommending carbonated rocks of Mintom in the production of the clinker, agricultural amendments and in the constructions of the civil engineering.

Access to drinking water is still a daily struggle for millions of people living mainly in developing countries. As a matter of concern, the main problem with regard to the use of safe drinking water mainly concerns its physicochemical and microbiological quality. This study has been carried out with the aim of contributing to a better understanding of the spatiotemporal variability of the quality of the water supplied by two drinking water distribution system of the REGIDESO in the city of Butembo (DR Congo). Its target is to have a view on its evolution in a period of six months even after the combination of its two networks. The methodology hinges around the microbiological and physicochemical analysis of the waters of eight sites identified on these networks. It results from this study that almost the treated water samples presented values, which did not comply with the WHO quality guidelines for many microbiological physicochemical parameters. Thus, the means of bio-indicators numbers are as following: Germs revivable at 37 oC (29.36 > 10 CFU/ml), total coliforms (21.89 > 0 CFU/ml), thermo-tolerant coliforms (3.53 > 0 CFU/ml,) Escherichia coli (1.25 > 0 CFU/ml) and enterococci (0.14 > 0 CFU/ml) while, for the Salmonella and Shigella (0.3056 > 0 CFU/ml). In addition, only the 3/5 (e.g. 60%) of the mean numbers of Enterococci and numbers of Salmonella & Shigella of the treated water samples fit WHO norms. Moreover, seven physicochemical parameters presented general averages far from the admissible maximal values (AMV). There are Ammonia (1.67 > 0.5 mg/L), Ammonium (0.32 > 0.3 mg /L), Iron (0.36 > 0.3 mg/l), Nitrate (55.94 > 50 mg /L), pH (6.03 8oC - 15oC) and Turbidity (6.57 > 5 N.T.U). This reveals a high exposure of the population of Butembo to the health risk related to the use (consumption) of this water.
