Ulinastatin(UTI),a broad-spectrum elastase inhibitor,can stabilize lysosomal membranes and inhibit the activation and release of various inflammatory cytokines caused by cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB).[1,2]UTI has recently been considered to be an effective anti-inflammatory agent and has been widely used in clinical settings,[3-5]but the optimal dose has not been defined.Therefore,we conducted a prospective,randomized,controlled trial involving 60 patients undergoing cardiac surgeries with CPB and investigated the serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),and interleukin-8(IL-8),at different time points in order to evaluate the antiinflammatory efficacy of high-dose UTI and explore the optimum dose.

We study the skew information-based coherence of quantum states and derive explicit formulas for Werner states and isotropic states in a set of autotensors of mutually unbiased bases(MUBs).We also give surfaces of skew information-based coherence for Bell-diagonal states and a special class of X states in both computational basis and in MUBs.Moreover,we depict the surfaces of the skew information-based coherence for Bell-diagonal states under various types of local nondissipative quantum channels.The results show similar as well as different features compared with relative entropy of coherence and l1 norm of coherence.

We study the dynamics of coherence-induced state ordering under incoherent channels, particularly four specific Markovian channels： amplitude damping channel, phase damping channel, depolarizing channel and bit flit channel for single-qnbit states. We show that the amplitude damping channel, phase damping channel, and depolarizing channel do not change the coherence-induced state ordering by l1 norm of coherence, relative entropy of coherence, geometric measure of coherence, and Tsallis relative α-entropies, while the bit flit channel does change for some special cases.

Blast furnace data processing is prone to problems such as outliers.To overcome these problems and identify an improved method for processing blast furnace data,we conducted an in-depth study of blast furnace data.Based on data samples from selected iron and steel companies,data types were classified according to different characteristics;then,appropriate methods were selected to process them in order to solve the deficiencies and outliers of the original blast furnace data.Linear interpolation was used to fill in the divided continuation data,the Knearest neighbor(KNN)algorithm was used to fill in correlation data with the internal law,and periodic statistical data were filled by the average.The error rate in the filling was low,and the fitting degree was over 85%.For the screening of outliers,corresponding indicator parameters were added according to the continuity,relevance,and periodicity of different data.Also,a variety of algorithms were used for processing.Through the analysis of screening results,a large amount of efficient information in the data was retained,and ineffective outliers were eliminated.Standardized processing of blast furnace big data as the basis of applied research on blast furnace big data can serve as an important means to improve data quality and retain data value.

The Sichuan-Tibet transportation corridor is located at the eastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,where the complex topography and geological conditions,developed geo-hazards have severely restricted the planning and construction of major projects.For the long-term prevention and early control of regional seismic landslides,based on analyzing seismic landslide characteristics,the Newmark model was used to carry out the potential seismic landslide hazard assessment with a 50-year beyond probability 10%.The results show that the high seismic landslide hazard is mainly distributed along large active tectonic belts and deep-cut river canyons,and are significantly affected by the active tectonics.The low seismic landslide hazard is mainly distributed in the flat terrain such as the Quaternary basins,broad river valleys,and plateau planation planes.The major east-west linear projects mainly pass through five areas with high seismic landslide hazard:Luding-Kangding section,Yajiang-Xinlong(Yalong river)section,Batang-Baiyu(Jinsha river)section,Basu(Nujiang river)section,and Bomi-Linzhi(eastern Himalaya syntaxis)section.The seismic action of the Bomi-Linzhi section can also induce high-risk geo-hazard chains such as the high-level glacial lake breaks and glacial debris flows.The early prevention of seismic landslides should be strengthened in the areas with high seismic landslide hazard.

Grain yield and nitrogen use efficiency of an ultrashort-duration variety grown under different nitrogen and seeding rates in direct-seeded and double-season rice in Central China

Nitrogen(N) and seeding rates are important factors affecting grain yield and N use efficiency(NUE) in directseeded rice. However, these factors have not been adequately investigated on direct-seeded and double-season rice(DDR) in Central China. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of various N and seeding rates on the grain yield and NUE of an ultrashort-duration variety grown under DDR. Field experiments were conducted in 2018 in Wuxue County and 2019 in Qichun County, Hubei Province, China with four N rates and three seeding rates.The results showed that the grain yield of the ultrashort-duration variety ranged from 6.32 to 8.23 t ha–1with a total growth duration of 85 to 97 days across all treatments with N application. Grain yield was increased significantly by N application in most cases, but seeding rate had an inconsistent effect on grain yield. Furthermore, the response of grain yield to the N rates was much higher than the response to seeding rates. The moderate N rates of 100–150 and 70–120 kg N ha–1in the early and late seasons, respectively, could fully express the yield potential of the ultrashort-duration variety grown under DDR. Remarkably higher N responses and agronomic NUE levels were achieved in the early-season rice compared with the late-season rice due to the difference in indigenous soil N supply capacity(INS) between the two seasons. Seasonal differences in INS and N response should be considered when crop management practices are optimized for achieving high grain yield and NUE in ultrashort-duration variety grown under DDR.

In a time-division duplex(TDD) system with massive multiple input multiple output(MIMO),channel reciprocity calibration(RC) is generally required in order to cope with the reciprocity mismatch between the uplink and downlink channel state information. Currently, evaluating the achievable spectral efficiency(SE) and energy efficiency(EE) of TDD massive MIMO systems with imperfect RC(IRC) mainly relies on exhausting Monte Carlo simulations and it is infeasible to precisely and concisely quantify the achievable SE and EE with IRC. In this study, a novel method is presented for tightly bounding the achievable SE of massive MIMO systems with zero-forcing beamforming under IRC. On the basis of the analytical results, we demonstrate key insights for practical system design with IRC in three aspects: the scaling rule for interference power, saturation region of the SE, and the bound on the SE loss. Finally, the trade-off between spectral and energy efficiencies in the presence of IRC is determined with algorithms developed to optimize SE(EE) under a constrained EE(SE) value. The loss of optimal total SE and EE due to IRC is also quantified, which shows that the loss of optimal EE is more sensitive to IRC in a typical range of transmit power values.

Monitoring models for base flow effect and daily variation of dam seepage elements considering time lag effect

Affected by external environmental factors and evolution of dam performance, dam seepage behavior shows nonlinear time-varying characteristics. In this study, to predict and evaluate the long-term development trend and short-term fluctuation of the dam seepage behavior, two monitoring models were developed, one for the base flow effect and one for daily variation of dam seepage elements. In the first model, to avoid the influence of the time lag effect on the evaluation of seepage variation with the time effect component of seepage elements, the base values of the seepage element and the reservoir water level were extracted using the wavelet multi-resolution analysis method, and the time effect component was separated by the established base flow effect monitoring model. For the development of the daily variation monitoring model for dam seepage elements, all the previous factors, of which the measured time series prior to the dam seepage element monitoring time may have certain influence on the monitored results, were considered. Those factors that were positively correlated with the analyzed seepage element were initially considered to be the support vector machine(SVM) model input factors, and then the SVM kernel function-based sensitivity analysis was performed to optimize the input factor set and establish the optimized daily variation SVM model. The efficiency and rationality of the two models were verified by case studies of the water level of two piezometric tubes buried under the slope of a concrete gravity dam.Sensitivity analysis of the optimized SVM model shows that the influences of the daily variation of the upstream reservoir water level and rainfall on the daily variation of piezometric tube water level are processes subject to normal distribution.

The gallium electrodeposition from alkaline solution has a very low current efficiency, the reason for which is still not quite understood. The effects of electrode materials used for gallium electrodeposition, as well as the effects of NaOH concentration and the anions concentrations in the solution, including 5042-, SiO32-, CO32-, AlO2-, F-, and CI-, on the deposition were analyzed in this study. The suitable materials of SUS316-SUS316 were suggested for the gallium electrodeposition. Based on the electrode couples, the NaOH concentration of 4 mol.L-1 for gallium electrodeposition exhibits the greatest current efficiency. Moreover, the current efficiency would decrease in the electrolyte along with the increasing concentration of the anions, except that, 0.2 mol-L-1 C1- in the solution slightly improves the current efficiency of gallium elec- trodeposition. Moreover, the gallium deposited on the cathode from the solution with 0.6 mol.L-1 SiO32- appears tiny black in color and coarse. Meanwhile, SUS304 is shown to be not suitable to be used as cathode for the gallium electrodeposition from the alkaline solution.
