Combinations of metal and lanthanide oxides have been done through casted films for potential medical applications. In this regard, samarium(Ⅲ) oxide/chromium(Ⅲ) oxide/graphene oxide(GO)/polycaprolactone(PCL) based films nano-composites(NCs) were fabricated, pointing their utilization as a biological scaffold for wound dressing purposes. Also, samarium(Ⅲ) oxide and chromium(Ⅲ) oxide have been merged as promising optical constituents due to their unique optical behavior. The structural and compositional examination of the studied NCs was executed by X-ray diffraction(XRD), Raman, and field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEm). The Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL NC exhibits a surface with a lower roughness degree owing to the presence of GO. Cr_(2)O_(3)shows size reduction upon GO insertion to reach 1.2 μm as the average grain size, whilst Sm_(2)O_(3)records an average grain size of less than 1 μm. As well, the polymeric nano-compositions exhibit variation in contact angle values that hit 29.76°± 3.52°for Sm_(2)O_(3)/PCL, and 48.62°± 1.37°for Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL as the second lowest contact angle. The optical behavior contributes to absorption edge relocation along the x-axis from 1.7 eV for pure PCL, to 2.65 eV for Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL. Regarding biological responses, the cell exposed to 2.5 μg/m L of Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL shows cell viability of 119.31%, while 5 μg/m L hits 99.6%. Additionally, the resulting cell attachment micrographs show layers of fibroblast tissue, besides the proliferation and growth of cultivated cells. Thus, the Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL scaffold provides 3D proliferation of fibroblast cells endorsing the wound healing process.

The mobility and connective capabilities of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)are becoming more and more important in defense,commercial,and research ***,their open communication makes UAVs susceptible toundesirablepassive attacks suchas eavesdroppingor ***,the inefficiencyof traditional cryptography-based techniques has led to the addition of Physical Layer Security(PLS).This study focuses on the advanced PLS method for passive eavesdropping in UAV-aided vehicular environments,proposing a solution to complement the conventional cryptography ***,we present a performance analysis of first-order secrecy metrics in 6G-enabled UAV systems,namely hybrid outage probability(HOP)and secrecy outage probability(SOP)over 2×2 Nakagami-m ***,we propose a novel technique for mitigating passive eavesdropping,which considers first-order secrecy metrics as an optimization problem and determines their lower and upper ***,we conduct an analysis of bounded HOP and SOP using the interactive Nakagami-m channel,considering the multiple-input-multiple-output configuration of the UAV *** findings indicate that 2×2 Nakagami-mis a suitable fadingmodel under constant velocity for trustworthy receivers and *** results indicate that UAV mobility has some influence on an eavesdropper’s intrusion during line-of-sight-enabled communication and can play an important role in improving security against passive eavesdroppers.

The effects of shot peening on the mechanical properties of steel 1070 were studied to enhance the material’s properties and surface *** this study,pressure and exposure time were the main parameters governing surface hardness and surface *** optimal time duration and pressure were determined after several experimental *** in hardness and surface roughness were monitored as the pressure of the shot and the exposure time were ***,the microstructure was evaluated by scanning electron microscopy(SEm)and the images were enhanced by image processing techniques to evaluate the surface *** charts were constructed to estimate the effects of pressure and time on both surface hardness and surface *** novelty of this study is the concentration on engine blades which are frequently used in aircrafts to determine the optimal time–pressure combination for shot peening to achieve suitable mechanical and surface *** results show that shot peening pressure(up to 482.6 kPa for 7 min)has positive effect on enhancing the surface and mechanical properties for steel 1070 blades;however,an increase in either pressure or time above that level adversely affected both surface hardness and surface roughness.

Despite the success of cementless hip stem,stress shielding still presents a serious problem leading to bone *** incorporating porous cellular structures represent a promising ***,this study validates the finite element models of titanium(Ti)alloy(Ti-6Al-4V)porous stem and effective porous *** effective porous stems with strut thicknesses 0.33 mm-1.25 mm(18%-90%porosity)under different loading conditions were *** results of finite element models revealed that changing the load type and porosity affect stress *** loads yield the maximum stress levels while walking loads result in the lowest stresses in the ***,the point load results in the maximum stress shielding and micromotions(-19% to 18%,40μm to 703μm),as compared to walking(-17.5% to 3%,35μm to 242μm)and climbing loads(-7% to 1.6%,30μm to 221 μm).Finally,effective porous stems of strut thickness 0.87 mm exhibit the lowest stress shielding signals(<5%)under all loading conditions.

Vibrational characteristics of piping system in air conditioning outdoor unit

The modal analysis of piping system in air conditioner (AC) outdoor unit is essential to investigate the vibration properties of the system. In view of the growing significance of numerical finite element (FE) model for vibration behaviour prediction, the AC piping elastic end support characterization has been explored. The axial and radial stiffness variables (ka, kr1, kr2) of the compressor-piping mounting are obtained and represented by dynamic stiffness of compressor grommet. They are obtained from dynamic load deflection test based on compressor operating condition such as excitation frequency and amplitude. The unknown stiffness variables of the other tube end (chassis-piping mounting) are determined by parameter fine tuning. An experimental modal analysis using impact hammer test has also been employed to determine the vibration properties such as natural frequencies, mode shapes and damping ratio of the piping structures. The modal parameters acquisition using SCADAS mobile acquisition system and LmS Impact Testing software is compared with the corresponding simulated modal properties using Abaqus. most of the simulated natural frequencies achieve good correlation with the measured frequencies and it is reasonably a good prediction model to predict vibration behaviour of AC piping structures.

Biomathematical model for gyrotactic free-forced bioconvection with oxygen diffusion in near-wall transport within a porous medium fuel cell

Bioconvection has shown significant promise for environmentally friendly,sustainable“green”fuel cell *** improved design of such systems requires continuous refinements in biomatheatical modeling in conjunction with laboratory and *** by exploring deeper the near-wall transport phenomena involved inbio-inspired fuel cells,in the present paper,we examine analytically and numericallythe combined free-forced convective steady boundary layer flow from a solid verticalflat plate embedded in a Darcian porous medium containing gyrotactic *** is one of the many taxes exhibited in biological microscale transport,andother examples include magneto-taxis,photo-taxis,chemotaxis and geo-taxis (reflecting the response of microorganisms to magnetic field,light,chemical concentration orgravity,respectively). The bioconvection fuel cell also contains difusing oxygen specicswhich mimics the cathodic behavior in a proton exchange membrane(PEm) *** wall is maintained at isosolutal (constant oxygen volume fraction and motilemicroorganism density) and iso-thermal conditions. Wall values of these quantities aresustained at higher values than the ambient temperature and concentration of oxygenand biological microorganism *** transformations are applied to renderthe governing partial differential equations for mass,momentum,energy,oxygen speciesand microorganism species density into a system of ordinary differential equations. Evaluation of thalamus echogenicity by ultrasound as a marker of fetal lung maturity

The present study evaluated fetal thalamic echogenicity by ultrasound as a possible marker of fetal lung maturity in comparison with other ultrasound makers. A prospective longitudinal study performed in Al-Elwiya maternity Teaching Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq during the period from April 2010 to march 2011. One hundred and forty two pregnant women (36 to 42 weeks of gestation) who were admitted for elective cesarean section and referred for an obstetric ultrasound scan at the same day of their elective cesarean section were included. Scanning with linear ultrasound with convex transducer frequency of 3.5 mHz was utilized to measure the biparietal diameter and the state of echogenicity was recorded as echogenic or echolucent, in addition to amniotic fluid vernix and the placental changes. The presence of echogenic thalamus as a sign of fetal lung maturity had a specificity of 86.53% which is higher than the three other signs of lung maturity;the positive predictive value was (89.6%) which is also higher than the three other signs, but the sensitivity was 63.33% and negative predictive value was 57.69% which is lower than the presence of vernix in the amniotic fluid, 86.66 and 67.56 respectively. In conclusion, evaluation of echogenic thalamus is beneficial, and can be considered as a new marker of fetal lung maturity;however, further studies are required to strengthen such idea.

The online education market is expanding both globally and locally;Arab countries are paying special attention to the growth of this sector. Reports showed that the e-learning market arrived at $27.1 billion in the year 2009 and is expected to surpass $49.6 billion by the year 2014. This paper presents and surveys the perception of students and instructors regarding mobile learning and mobile examination system in some Arab countries. many universities in the Arab world are under progress in the implementation of this new technology and many have already implemented it. Strong tools are required to improve e-learning system of education. This research supports the transition of education from conventional methods to m-learning and m-exam systems. The purpose of this research is to study the perception of both instructors and students regarding mobile learning and mobile examination systems. The introduction of such systems to the educational process requires people involved to have basic technical skills and to be aware of the benefits of such systems. Results showed different perspectives from three countries;also showed that online examination systems could be very helpful, but many factors should be considered and they should be implemented carefully to guarantee the successful adoption, fairness and reliability.

Optimizing Software Effort Estimation models Using Firefly Algorithm

Software development effort estimation is considered a fundamental task for software development life cycle as well as for managing project cost, time and quality. Therefore, accurate estimation is a substantial factor in projects success and reducing the risks. In recent years, software effort estimation has received a considerable amount of attention from researchers?and became a challenge for software industry. In the last two decades, many researchers and practitioners proposed statistical and machine learning-based models for software effort estimation. In this work, Firefly Algorithm is proposed as a metaheuristic optimization method for optimizing the parameters of three COCOmO-based models. These models include the basic COCOmO model and other two models proposed in the literature as extensions of the basic COCOmO model. The developed estimation models are evaluated using different evaluation metrics. Experimental results show high accuracy and significant error minimization of Firefly Algorithm over other metaheuristic optimization algorithms including Genetic Algorithms and Particle Swarm Optimization.

A series of new complex salts of the type [R]2[mC14] where R =[Ph-C=n-N-Ph N=N-Ph],m = mn2＋, Co2＋, Ni2＋, Cu2＋ and Zn2＋ wereprepared and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, IR and UVNis is spectral studies and magnetic *** crystal structure of[Ph-C=n-N-Ph N=N-Ph]2[CuCl4] was determined by single crystal X-ray crystallography. The structure consisted of anion part and a 2,3,5-（triphenyl） tetrazolium cation as counter ions. The copper complex has a distorted tetrahedral geometry, the CI（1）-Cu-CI（2） [124.33 （2°）] and Cl（3）-Cu-Cl（4） [131.03 （2°）] angles are significantly larger than the ideal tetrahedral. The [CuCI4] anion and its counter ions are connected through a hydrogen bonds between C1 of the dianion and hetero aromatic rings by Cl-π, π-π and C-H … π, interactions.
