Autoimmune hepatitis is a chronic liver disease putatively caused by loss of tolerance to hepatocyte- specific autoantigens. It is characterized by female predilection, elevated aminotransferase levels, autoantibodies, increased y-globulin or IgG levels and biopsy evidence of interface hepatitis. It is currently divided into types 1 and 2, based on expression of autoantibodies. Autoantigenic epitopes have been identified only for the less frequent type 2. Although autoimmune hepatitis occurs in childhood, this review focuses on disease in adults. In the absence of pathognomonic biomarkers, diagnosis requires consideration of clinical, biochemical, serological and histological features, which have been codified into validated diagnostic scoring systems. Since many features also occur in other chronic liver diseases, these scoring systems aid evaluation of the differential diagnosis. New practice guidelines have redefined criteria for remission to include complete biochemical and histological normalization on immunosuppressive therapy. Immunosuppression is most often successful using prednisone or prednisolone and azathioprine; however, the combination of budesonide and azathioprine for non-cirrhotic patients offers distinct advantages. Patients failing standard immunosuppression are candidates for alternative immunosuppressive regimens, yet none of the options has been studied in a randomized, controlled trial. Overlap syndromes with either primary sclerosing cholangitis or primary biliary cirrhosis occur in a minority. Liver transplantation represents a life-saving option for patients presenting with acute liver failure, severely decompensated cirrhosis or hepatocellular carcinoma. Transplant recipients are at risk for recurrent autoimmune hepatitis in the allograft, and de novo disease may occur in patients transplanted for other indications. Direct acting antiviral therapy is curative for chronic hepatitis C/autoimmune hepatitis overlap syndrome

Autoimmune phenomena are common in patients with chronic hepatitis C. Management of chronic hepatitis C/autoimmune hepatitis syndrome has until recently been problematic due to the adverse effects of interferon on autoimmune processes and immunosuppression on viral replication. In this report we describe 3 patients with chronic hepatitis C/autoimmune hepatitis overlap syndrome who responded rapidly to direct acting antiviral therapy. The resolution of the autoimmune process supports a direct viral role in its pathophysiology.

Structural Model Updating of Jacket Platform by Control Theory Using Vibration Measurement Approach

The identification of variations in the dynamic behavior of structures is an important subject in structural integrity *** and servicing of offshore platforms in the marine environment with constant changing,requires understanding the real behavior of these structures to prevent possible *** this work,empirical and numerical models of jacket structure are investigated.A test on experimental modal analysis is accomplished to acquire the response of structure and a mathematical model of the jacket structure is also ***,based on the control theory using developed reduction system,the matrices of the platform model is calibrated and *** current methodology can be applied to prepare the finite element model to be more adaptable to the empirical *** results with the proposed approach in this paper are very close to those of the actual model and also this technique leads to a reduction in the amount of calculations and *** research clearly confirms that the dynamic behavior of fixed marine structures should be designed and assessed considering the calibrated analytical models for the safety of these structures.

The Tunicate Swarm Algorithm(TSA)inspires by simulating the lives of Tunicates at sea and how food is *** algorithm is easily entrapped to local optimization despite the simplicity and optimal,leading to early convergence compared to some metaheuristic *** paper sought to improve this algorithm's performance using mutating operators such as the lévy mutation operator,the Cauchy mutation operator,and the Gaussian mutation operator for global optimization ***,we introduced a version of this algorithm called the QLGCTSA *** of these operators has a different performance,increasing the QLGCTSA algorithm performance at a specific optimization operation *** algorithm has been run on benchmark functions,including three different compositions,unimodal(UM),and multimodal(MM)groups and its performance evaluate six large-scale engineering *** results show that the QLGCTSA algorithm had outperformed other competing optimization algorithms.

An Improved Harris Hawks Optimization Algorithm with Multi-strategy for Community Detection in Social Network

The purpose of community detection in complex networks is to identify the structural location of nodes. Complex network methods are usually graphical, with graph nodes representing objects and edges representing connections between things. Communities are node clusters with many internal links but minimal intergroup connections. Although community detection has attracted much attention in social media research, most face functional weaknesses because the structure of society is unclear or the characteristics of nodes in society are not the same. Also, many existing algorithms have complex and costly calculations. This paper proposes different Harris Hawk Optimization (HHO) algorithm methods (such as Improved HHO Opposition-Based Learning(OBL) (IHHOOBL), Improved HHO Lévy Flight (IHHOLF), and Improved HHO Chaotic Map (IHHOCM)) were designed to balance exploitation and exploration in this algorithm for community detection in the social network. The proposed methods are evaluated on 12 different datasets based on NMI and modularity criteria. The findings reveal that the IHHOOBL method has better detection accuracy than IHHOLF and IHHOCM. Also, to offer the efficiency of the , state-of-the-art algorithms have been used as comparisons. The improvement percentage of IHHOOBL compared to the state-of-the-art algorithm is about 7.18%.

Shrinkage behavior of self-compacting concrete

In the structures where long-term behavior should be monitored and controlled, creep and shrinkage effects have to be included precisely in the analysis and design procedures. Shrinkage varies with the constituent and mixture proportions, and depends on the curing conditions and the work environment as well. Self-compacting concrete (SCC) contains combinations of various components, such as aggregate, cement, superplasticizer, water-reducing agent and other ingredients which affect the properties of the SCC including shrinkage. Hence, the realistic prediction shrinkage strains of SCC are an important requirement of the design process for this type of concrete structures. This study reviews the accuracy of the conventional concrete (CC) shrinkage prediction models proposed by the international codes of practice, including CEB-FIP (1990), ACI 209R (1997), Eurocode 2 (2001), JSCE (2002), AASHTO (2004; 2007) and AS 3600 (2009). Also, SCC shrinkage prediction models proposed by Poppe and De Schutter (2005), Larson (2007), Cordoba (2007) and Khayat and Long (2010) are reviewed. Further, a new shrinkage prediction model based on the comprehensive analysis on both of the available models, i.e., the CC and the SCC is proposed. The predicted shrinkage strains are compared with the actual measured shrinkage strains in 165 mixtures of SCC and 21 mixtures of CC.

Influence of welding speed on corrosion behaviour of friction stir welded AA5086 aluminium alloy

The plates of AA5086 aluminium alloy were joined together by friction stir welding at a fixed rotation speed of 1000 r/min various welding speeds ranging from 63 to 100 mm/*** behavior of the parent alloy(PA),the heat affected zone(HAZ),and the weld nugget zone(WNZ)of the joints were studied in 3.5%(mass fraction)aerated aqueous Na Cl solution by potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS).The corrosion susceptibility of the weldments increases when the welding speed increases to 63 and 100 mm/***,the value of corrosion rate in the weldments is lower than that in the ***,the corrosion current density increases with increasing the welding speed in the HAZ and the *** the contrary,the corrosion potential in the WNZ appears more positive than in the HAZ with decreasing the welding *** WNZ exhibits higher resistance compared to the HAZ and the PA as the welding speed *** results obtained from the EIS measurements suggest that the weld regions have higher corrosion resistance than the parent *** increasing the welding speed,the distribution and extent of the corroded areas in the WNZ region are lower than those of the HAZ *** the HAZ region,in addition to the pits in the corroded area,some cracks can be seen around the corroded areas,which confirms that intergranular corrosion is formed in this *** alkaline localized corrosion and the pitting corrosion are the main corrosion mechanisms in the corroded areas within the weld *** pits are observed within the weld regions.

Measurement of creep of optical fiber by a low coherent white light double interferometer system

The creep properties of optical fiber used in fiber optical sensors were studied in this paper. A low co- herent white light double interferometer system was designed and calibrated and the creep deforma- tions of optical fibers under static and cyclic loadings were measured with this device. The research results showed that polymer coated optical fibers crept at the beginning when they were under static or cyclic load. As the number of the cyclic loading or the static loading times increased the creep tended to stop. Thus to ensure that the optical fiber keeps pre-stress for long time in pressure transducer, it is recommended that the optical fiber should be tensioned cyclically before being fixed into the sensor device.

Investigation of dense slurry suspensions with coaxial mixers:Influences of design variables through tomography and mathematical modelling

The coaxial mixers enhance the suspension of concentrated slurries in an agitated *** this research work,the complex slurry suspension and dissemination behavior in a coaxial slurry mixing system(comprised of a close clearance anchor rotating with a low speed and an inner axial impeller rotating with a high speed)was analyzed employing ERT(electrical resistance tomography,a non-intrusive flow visualization technique),and computational fluid dynamics(CFD).The numerical models were validated by comparing the axial solid concentration profiles generated using the ERT data and the CFD simulation *** influences of various important parameters such as the diameter of the inner axial impeller,the inner impeller type,and the inner impeller spacing on the hydrodynamic characteristics of the slurry suspensions in a coaxial mixing vessel were thoroughly *** radial and axial velocity profiles of solid particles were generated using the validated mathematical *** assessment of energy loss due to the solid-solid collisions,the particle-fluid frictions,and the particle-vessel wall collisions was *** evaluation of optimum inner impeller clearance and inner impeller diameter is essential to attain a high degree of solids suspension and dissemination in a coaxial slurry mixing system.
