Objective Renal fibrosis is the ultimate pathway of various forms of acute and chronic kidney ***,the knockout of transient receptor potential channel 6(TRPC6)has shown promise in alleviating renal ***,the regulatory impact of TRPC6 on renal fibrosis remains *** In vivo,TRPC6 knockout(TRPC6−/−)mice and age-matched 129 SvEv(WT)mice underwent unilateral renal ischemia-reperfusion(uIR)injury surgery on the left renal pedicle or sham *** and serum were collected on days 7,14,21,and 28 after *** vitro,primary tubular epithelial cells(PTECs)were isolated from TRPC6−/−and WT mice,followed by treatment with transforming growth factorβ1(TGFβ1)for 72 *** anti-fibrotic effect of TRPC6−/−and the underlying mechanisms were assessed through hematoxylin-eosin staining,Masson staining,immunostaining,qRT-PCR,and Western *** Increased TRPC6 expression was observed in uIR mice and PTECs treated with TGFβ***6−/−alleviated renal fibrosis by reducing the expression of fibrotic markers(Col-1,α-SMA,and vimentin),as well as decreasing the apoptosis and inflammation of PTECs during fibrotic progression both in vivo and in ***,we found that the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)/protein kinase B(AKT)/glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta(GSK3β)signaling pathway,a pivotal player in renal fibrosis,was down-regulated following TRPC6 *** These results suggest that the ablation of TRPC6 may mitigate renal fibrosis by inhibiting the apoptosis and inflammation of PTECs through down-regulation of the PI3K/AKT/GSK3β*** TRPC6 could be a novel therapeutic strategy for preventing chronic kidney disease.

It is highly desirable to seek green and sustainable technologies,such as employing photo thermal effects to drive energy catalysis processes to address the high energy demand and associated environmental impacts induced by the current *** photothermocatalysis process is an emerging research area with great potential in efficiently converting solar energy through various catalytic ***,achieving simultaneously high conversion efficiency,cyclability,and durability is still a daunting ***,tremendous work is still needed to enhance solar photo thermal catalytic conversion and promote its large-scale *** review developed the principles of coupling solar photon and thermal fields underlying the photothermal effect,exploration of efficient nanocatalysts,development of optofluidic reactor model,and photo thermal synergistic-driven CO_(2) reduction *** ultimate goal was to provide an effective approach that can effectively convert solar energy into photocarriers/hot-electrons and heat,and importantly,can couple them to regulate catalysis reaction pathways toward the production of value-added fuel and chemical energy.

川滇菱形块体东边界震源机制与应力场特征

文中利用四川、云南、重庆、青海、甘肃地震台网以及西昌密集台阵和巧家密集台阵的数字地震波形资料,采用CAP全波形反演方法及HASH初动极性和振幅比方法,获得了川滇菱形块体东边界区域3 951组M L≥1.0地震的震源机制。进而基于以上震源... 详细信息

文中利用四川、云南、重庆、青海、甘肃地震台网以及西昌密集台阵和巧家密集台阵的数字地震波形资料,采用CAP全波形反演方法及HASH初动极性和振幅比方法,获得了川滇菱形块体东边界区域3 951组M L≥1.0地震的震源机制。进而基于以上震源机制,采用阻尼区域应力场反演算法(MSTASI)和Vavrycuk的迭代联合反演方法获得了研究区的构造应力场分布特征、主要活动断裂的应力性质和摩擦系数。结果显示,研究区震源机制P轴、T轴以及最大主应力轴σ1和最小主应力轴σ3总体上倾角较小,揭示了近水平的挤压或剪切应力环境。σ1以NW-SE和NWW-SEE向为主,从北到南有顺时针旋转的趋势,应力性质以走滑型为主,局部兼有逆冲型和拉张型,整体分布特征与区内走滑型边界断裂活动性质一致。R值具有明显的空间差异,鲜水河断裂-龙门山断裂-安宁河断裂交会地区R值相对较高,有明显的挤压特征;鲜水河断裂带、安宁河断裂带北段和小江断裂带的R值均在0.25~0.5之间,表现为NE-SW向挤压和NW-SE向拉张,拉张应力可能远小于挤压应力;大凉山断裂带北段和则木河断裂带的R值均在0.5~1之间,表现为NW-SE向压缩和NE-SW向拉张,且挤压应力大于拉张应力。研究区域主要断裂的摩擦系数也有差异:安宁河断裂带和大凉山断裂带北段的摩擦系数相对较低,在0.75以下,鲜水河断裂带、则木河断裂带及大凉山断裂带南段的摩擦系数偏高,在0.80以上。川滇菱形块体东边界活动断裂带上的构造应力相对较高,尤其是鲜水河断裂带和小江断裂带的应力更高,需要关注其地震危险性。

Coded overlapped code division multiplexing system with Turbo product structure

Coded overlapped code division multiplexing system with Turbo product structure （TPC-OVCDM） is introduced, and trellis coded modulation （TCM） code is employed as error correcting code for uncoded overlapped code division multiplexing （OVCDM） system. In such a scheme, row code and column code are TCM and OVCDM spreading code, respectively. Data bits are only encoded directly by TCM and transformed into a matrix. Each column of this matrix is then permuted by symbol interleaver before being encoded by OVCDM spreading code. During iterative decoding process in the receiver, two constituent decoders use symbol by symbol BCJR algorithm in the log domain. The order of decoding two sub-codes is determined by the encoding order. The proportion of TCM coding and OVCDM coding affects system performance. For fixed coding structure and symbol interleaver, the performance of TPC-OVCDM systems of different proportions of additive white Gaussian noise （AWGN） channel have been simulated. The results show that TPC-OVCDM system of reasonable proportion can achieve significant coding gain, compared with uncoded OVCDM system under the condition of same spectral efficiency at bit error rate （BER） level of 10^-5.

Hierarchical microstructure and two-stage corrosion behavior of a high-performance near-eutectic Zn-li alloy

In order to improve mechanical and corrosion properties of biodegradable pure Zn,a knowledge-based microstructure design is performed on Zn-li alloy system composed of hard β-liZn_(4) and soft Zn *** and multi-modal grain structure are designed to toughen β-liZn_(4) while strengthen Zn,resulting in high strength and high ductility for both the ***-like secondary Zn precipitates form in β-liZn4,while fine-scale networks of string-like β-liZn4 precipitates form in Zn with a tri-modal grain *** a result,near-eutectic Zn-0.48 li alloy with an outstanding combination of high strength and high ductility has been fabricated through hot-warm rolling,a novel fabrication process to realize the microstructure *** as-rolled alloy has yield strength(YS) of 246 MPa,the ultimate tensile strength(UTS) of 395 MPa and elongation to failure(EL) of 47 %.Immersion test in simulated body fluid(SBF) for 30 days reveals that li-rich products form preferentially at initial stage,followed by Zn-rich products with prolonged *** insoluble li_(2) CO_(3) forms a protective passivation film on the alloy surface,which suppresses the average corrosion rate from 81.2 μm/year at day one down dramatically to 18.2 μm/year at day ***,the average corrosion rate increases slightly with decrease of li2 CO_(3) content,which undulates around the clinical requirements on corrosion resistance(i.e.,20 μm/year) claimed for biodegradable metal stents.

Successful treatment of hyperglycemia with liraglutide in a hospitalized 27-year-old patient with schizophrenia:A case report

BACKGROUND Antipsychotics are associated with abnormalities in glucose metabolism in patients with schizophrenia. liraglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist, is Food and Drug Administration approved for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. However, ways to maintain the long-term stability of psychotic symptoms and balance the disadvantages of obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic disorders caused by antipsychotic medications remain unclear. In this study, we present a case of weight gain and hyperglycemia in a schizophrenia patient who received antipsychotic polypharmacy for 6 *** SUMMARY A 27-year-old man with olanzapine and sodium valproate-treated disorganized schizophrenia was admitted to a diabetes outpatient clinic. He was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes(fasting blood glucose, 20 mmol/L) and obesity(body mass index, 38.58 kg/m). The patient had been treated with glargine(40 IU/d) and metformin(1.5 g/d) and showed a poor response for 2 mo. Two years of liraglutide treatment resulted in stable blood glucose levels and weight loss in addition to a maintained stable mental status for a long time. The biological activities of GLP-1 significantly improved glucose levels and body weight in the schizophrenia patient treated with antipsychotic *** liraglutide administration can be considered an effective alternative treatment for abnormalities in glucose metabolism in schizophrenia patients receiving antipsychotics.
