Elevated CXCL1 triggers dopaminergic neuronal loss in the substantia nigra of C57BL/6J mice: Evaluation of a novel Parkinsonian mouse model

Substantial evidence points to the early onset of peripheral inflammation in the development of Parkinson's disease(PD), supporting the “body-first” hypothesis. However,there remains a notable absence of PD-specific animal models induced by inflammatory cytokines. This study introduces a novel mouse model of PD driven by the proinflammatory cytokine CXCL1, identified in our previous research. The involvement of CXCL1 in PD pathogenesis was validated using subacute and chronic MPTP-induced mouse models. Based on these findings, 2-month-old C57BL/6J mice were intravenously administered CXCL1(20 ng/kg/day) for 2 weeks(5 days per week), successfully replicating motor deficits and pathological alterations in the substantia nigra observed in the chronic MPTP *** results demonstrate the potential of CXCL1-induced inflammation as a mechanism for PD modeling. The model revealed activation of the PPAR signaling pathway in CXCL1-mediated neuronal damage by CXCL1. Linoleic acid, a PPAR-γ activator, significantly mitigated MPTPand CXCL1-induced toxicity and reduced serum CXCL1levels. In addition, the CXCL1-injected mouse model shortened the timeline for developing chronic PD mouse model to 2 weeks, offering an efficient platform for studying inflammation-driven processes in PD. The findings provide critical insights into the inflammatory mechanisms underlying PD and identify promising therapeutic targets for intervention.

Hybrid entangled states are crucial in quantum physics,offering significant benefits for hybrid quantum communication and quantum computation,and then the conversion of hybrid entangled states is equally *** paper presents two novel schemes,that is,one converts the two-qubit hybrid Knill–Laflamme–Milburn(KLM)entangled state into Bell states and the other one transforms the three-qubit hybrid KLM state into Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger(GHZ)states assisted by error-predicted and parity-discriminated ***,the integration of single photon detectors into the parity-discriminated device enhances predictive capabilities,mitigates potential failures,and facilitates seamless interaction between the nitrogen-vacancy center and photons,so the two protocols operate in an error-predicted way,improving the experimental ***,our schemes demonstrate robust fidelities(close to 1)and efficiencies,indicating their feasibility with existing technology.

让碳交易市场激发企业创新动力和推动技术升级,对于中国高质量发展有重要意义。本文在理论分析部分给出了碳交易市场中各主体产生激励作用的前提条件及作用机制,为构建合理的实证模型提供科学支持。理论研究发现,碳交易机制实现了交易双方利益的共同改进,体现为激励型环境规制的作用机制。进一步,结合以手工方式得到的碳交易企业的微观数据,将重点排污单位企业作为对照组,评估碳交易制度对企业技术创新行为影响的政策效果。实证结果表明,碳交易政策能够激励企业进行技术创新。机制分析结果显示,碳交易政策主要通过缓解融资约束、增加研发资金和科技人员投入来发挥创新效应,并且碳市场流动性越强,这种激励效果越明显。本文解释并验证了碳交易市场对企业创新行为的激励效应,可以为加速推进全国统一碳交易市场建设步伐提供科学指导和实践支撑。

Circular RNAs(circRNAs) play pivotal roles in the development and progression of various diseases, including malignant tumors. However,the biological functions and the underlying mechanisms of many circRNAs remain elusive. In this study, we identified a novel circRNA,circTP63-N, generated through the splicing of exons 2–4 of the TP63 gene in nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC). circTP63-N was found to be downregulated in clinical samples of NPC. Both in vitro and in vivo experiments unequivocally demonstrated that circTP63-N inhibits the proliferation and metastasis of NPC cells. Further investigations revealed that circTP63-N interacted with the HSP90AB1 protein, leading to the recruitment of LATS/YAP1 proteins. This, in turn, induced phosphorylation and ubiquitination-dependent degradation of YAP1, resulting in reduced nuclear translocation of YAP1 and inhibition of the transcriptional activation of downstream oncogenic genes, including INHBA, MMP3, and CCNE2. Our findings highlight the identification of circTP63-N, a novel circRNA encoded by an important tumor-relevant gene TP63 and elucidate its molecular mechanism as a tumor suppressor in NPC. These insights offer novel potential molecular markers and therapeutic targets for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of NPC.

Analysis of the redox environment and genesis of surface sediment in the northeast Indian Ocean at the Ninety-East Ridge

The Ninety-East Ridge(NER)is located in the semioceanic to oceanic region of the southern Bengal fan in the Northeast Indian *** sedimentary environment,ocean currents,and scientific issues related to climate change have always been the focus of *** well understand the sedimentary environment of the sea area,we studied the modern sedimentary environment of the NER by analyzing the redox-sensitive trace elements(RSEs)and biomarkers in the surface sediments of the northern region and both sides of the NER and the mechanism of their *** ratios of Mo/U(average 2.22),(Cu+Mo)/Zn(average 1.51),and the results ofδCe<1 of the sediment samples,all indicate the reduction of the sedimentary *** addition,the ratio of pristane(Pr)to phytane(Ph),C30diahopane to C30 hopane,and diasterane to sterane were low in all samples,on average of 1.03,0.9,and 0.33,*** analysis of RSE and biomarker data revealed that the sedimentary environment on seabed of the NER is generally a rare low-oxygen reduction *** the analysis of sediment characteristics,material sources,and ocean currents,we preliminarily constructed a genetic model for the low-oxygen reducing environment of surface sediments in the *** believe that the low-oxygen reduction environment of surface sediment in the NER could be influenced by multiple factors,such as terrestrial input of materials,productivity at sea surface,and sediment particle size.
