Grape white rot,a devastating disease of grapevines caused by Coniella diplodiella(Speg.)Sacc.,leads to significant yield losses in *** grape cultivars resistant to white rot is essential to reduce the regular use of chemical *** recent years,Chinese grape species have gained more attention for grape breeding due to their high tolerance to various biotic and abiotic factors along with changing climatic *** this study,we employed whole-genome resequencing(WGR)to genotype the parents of‘Manicure Finger’(Vitis vinifera,female)and‘0940’(Vitis davidii,male),along with 101 F1 mapping population individuals,thereby constructing a linkage genetic *** linkage map contained 9337 single-nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)markers with an average marker distance of 0.3 *** 3 years of phenotypic evaluation of the progeny for white rot resistance,we confirmed one stable quantitative trait locus(QTL)for white rot resistance on chromosome 3,explaining up to 17.9%of the phenotypic *** this locus,we used RNA-seq to detect candidate gene expression and identified PR1 as a candidate gene involved in white rot ***,we demonstrated that recombinant PR1 protein could inhibit the growth of *** and that overexpression of PR1 in susceptible *** increased grape resistance to the pathogen.

In the current study simultaneous reactions of hydrodesulfurization(HDS) of dibenzothiophene(DBT) and reforming of methanol in a micro-autoclave reactor were studied over bi-metallic(Co-Mo/Al2O3 and Ni-Mo/Al2O3) and tri-metallic(Pd-Co-Mo/Al2O3 and Pd-Ni-Mo/Al2O3) catalyst systems which were prepared by incipient impregnation *** situ hydrogen utilization and low Pd loadings were the major targets of this *** comparison purpose,catalytic activity was separately determined for both the methanol reforming and HDS of DBT reactions as *** based catalysts were confirmed with better activity than Co ones for both the reactions with Pd promoted ones ranking at the top ***-Ni-Mo/Al2O3 > Ni-Mo/Al2O3 > Pd-Co-Mo/Al2O3 > Co-Mo/Al2O3 where Pd-Ni-Mo/Al2O3 showed 91% DBT conversion at 380 ℃ and 12 h reaction *** of the selected organic additives on catalytic activity were tested for their effect toward HDS reaction which was unique with close relation to their chemical *** products were quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed via HPLC and GC-MS techniques respectively which helped in elucidating reaction mechanism.

Saponins and solvent extracts from Atriplex laciniata L. exhibited high anthelmintic and insecticidal activities

OBJECTIVE: To investigate saponins and various solvent extracts from Atriplex laciniata(A. laciniata)against human parasites and various ***: The samples from A. laciniata used in the activities were crude saponins(*** F) and solvent samples including methanolic extract(*** F), ethyl acetate(*** F), choloroform(*** F),n-hexane(*** F) and water residual(*** F). Anthelmintic potentials of the samples were analyzed against Pheretima posthuma(earthworms) and Ascaridia galli(round worms) using contact toxicity method. Insecticidal activities were performed against Heterotermes indicola(termite), Monomorium pharaonis(pharaoh ant), Tribolium castaneum(flour beetle) and Rhyzopertha dominica(grain borer) using standard ***: In anthelmintic assay, *** F and *** F were most effective against P. posthuma and A. gal-li with average death times of 25.62 and 29.65 min respectively. Likewise the anthelmintic assay, *** F and *** F were most effective against H. indicola causing 90.36% and 73.24% lethality respectively. Furthermore, in anti-Pharaoh activity *** F, *** F, *** F, *** F and *** F exhibited highest activity with LD50 of 78, 220, 260, 330 and > 800 mg/m L respectively. *** F and *** F were highly effective against R. dominica causing 80.11% and71.30% lethality respectively. *** F was found most active against T. ***: Our findings suggest that the *** F, *** F and *** F extracted from *** *** be the best options for the isolation of anthelmintic and bio-insecticidal compounds.

对薛定谔方程的严格数值求解,尤其是发展标准方法之外的、包含新功能的解法,一直是物理学研究的基本关注点.本文介绍一种近些年发展的一维函数近似解方法,该方法通过对波函数的不同坐标分量进行处理来求解原子和分子体系的薛定谔方程.电子的试探波函数被离散化到实空间均匀格点上,因此可以通过残差矢量校正的方法对其进行改进.一维函数方法本身的特征决定其非常利于数值积分,避免了很多由常规的多电子、多中心势分子积分所带来的问题.计算中,最终能量是从严格的能量上限逐渐收敛所获得,计算出的两电子薛定谔波函数呈现出常规单电子近似方法所含有的电子关联效应.不同于密度泛函理论及Hartree-Fock的单电子解法,本方法对电子-电子排斥能的多体效应的处理更加精确.

Numerical investigation of transitions in flow states and variation in aerodynamic forces for flow around square cylinders arranged inline

This study focuses on the transitions in flow states around two-, three-and four-inline square cylinders under the effect of Reynolds numbers at two different gap spacing values using the lattice Boltzmann method. For this purpose, Reynolds number is varied in the range 1–130 while two different values of spacing taken into account are gap spacing =2 and 5. Before going to actual problem, the code is tested for flow around a single square cylinder by comparing the results with experimental and numerical results of other researchers, and good agreement is *** current numerical computations yield that for both spacing values and all combinations of cylinders there exist three different sates of flow depending on Reynolds numbers: steady state, transitional state and unsteady state. It is found that the range of Reynolds numbers for these flow states is different for both spacing values. At gap spacing =2 the range of Reynolds numbers for each flow state decreases by increasing the number of cylinders while at gap spacing =5 opposite trend is observed. The results also show that at gap spacing =2 the reduction in drag force is greater than the corresponding reduction at gap spacing =5. The maximum reduction in drag force is observed at Reynolds numbers =1 at both spacing values. Similarly, at both spacing values and all Reynolds numbers, the maximum reduction in drag force is observed for the case of four-inline square cylinders.

Mitochondrial DNA mutations-candidate biomarkers for breast cancer diagnosis in Bangladesh

Breast cancer is a major health problem that affects more than 24% of women in Bangladesh. Furthermore, among low-income countries including Bangladesh, individuals have a high risk for developing breast cancer. This study aimed to identify candidate mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) biomarkers for breast cancer diagnosis in Bangladeshi women to be used as a preventive approach. We screened the blood samples from 24 breast cancer patients and 20 healthy controls to detect polymorphisms in the D-loop and the ND3-and ND4-coding regions of mtDNA by direct sequencing. Among 14 distinct mutations, 10 polymorphisms were found in the D-loop, 3 were found in the ND3-coding region, and 1 was found in the ND4-coding region. The frequency of two novel polymorphisms in the D-loop, one at position 16290 (Tins) and the other at position 16293 (A-del), was higher in breast cancer patients than in control subjects (position 16290: odds ratio = 6.011, 95% confidence interval = 1.2482 to 28.8411, P = 0.002; position 16293: odds ratio = 5.6028, 95% confidence interval = 1.4357 to 21.8925, P = 0.010). We also observed one novel mutation in the ND3-coding region at position 10316 (A > G) in 69% of breast cancer patients but not in control subjects.
