The pine sawyer beetle, Monochamus alternatus, is regarded as a notorious for- est pest in Asia, vectoring an invasive pathogenic nematode, Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, which is known to cause pine wilt disease. However, little sequence information is available for this vector beetle. This hampered the research on its immune system. Based on the transcriptome of M. alternatus, we have identified and characterized 194 immunity-related genes in M. alternatus, and compared them with homologues molecules from other species known to exhibit immune responses against invading microbes. The lower number of puta- tive immunity-related genes in M. alternatus were attributed to fewer C-type lectin, serine protease （SP） and anti-microbial peptide （AMP） genes. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that M. alternatus had a unique recognition gene, galectin3, orthologues of which were not identified in Tribolium castaneum, Drosophila melanogastor, Anopheles gambiae and Apis mellifera. This suggested a lineage-specific gene evolution for coleopteran insects. Our study provides the comprehensive sequence resources of the immunity-related genes ofM. alternatus, presenting valuable information for better understanding of the molecular mechanism of innate immunity processes in M. alternatus against B. xylophilus.

Monochamus alternatus, the main vector beetles of invasive pinewood nematode, has established a symbiotic relationship with a native ectotrophic fungal symbiont, Sporothrix sp. 1, in China. The immune response ofM. alternatus to S. sp. 1 in the coexistence of beetles and fungi is, however, unknown. Here, we report that immune responses ofM. alternatus pupae to infection caused by ectotrophic symbiotic fungus S. sp. 1 and entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana differ significantly. The S. sp. 1 did not kill the beetles while B. bassiana killed all upon injection. The transcriptome results showed that the numbers of differentially expressed genes in M. aIternatus infected with S. sp. 1 were 2-fold less than those infected with B. bassiana at 48 hours post infection. It was noticed that Toll and IMD pathways played a leading role in the beetle＇s immune system when infected by symbiotic fungus, but upon infection by entomopathogenic fimgus, only the Toll pathway gets triggered actively. Furthermore, the beetles could tolerate the infection of symbiotic fungi by retracing their Toll and IMD pathways at 48 h. This study provided a comprehensive sequence resource ofM. alternatus transcriptome for further study of the immune interactions between host and associated fungi.

This study focused,for the first time,on the effect of ultrasonic features on the extraction efficiency of secondary metabolites in mustard seed cake(MSC).The nematostatic potential of sonicated seed cake was examined against the second-stage juveniles(J2s)of root-knot nematode,Meloidogyne *** results show that a 35 ppm(parts per million)concentration of a sonicated extract(SE)sample of MSC caused 65%J2s mortality at 18 h exposure period in *** also significantly suppressed the root-knot index(RKI=0.94)in tomato *** lethal concentration values for SE were 51.76,29.79,and 13.34 ppm,respectively,at 6,12,and 18 h of the exposure period,and the lethal concentration values for the non-sonicated extract(NSE)sample were 116.95,76.38,and 55.59 ppm,respectively,at similar exposure *** and gluconapin were identified as the major compounds in ultrasonic-assisted *** of the high extraction efficiency of metabolites in the SE,all treat‐ments of SE were shown to be antagonistic to ***,this study of ultrasonication activity-based profiling of MSC may help generate target-based compounds at a scale relevant to the control of disease caused by nematodes in economic crops.

Ficus infectoria has a wide distribution in Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Southwest China and Indochina and is an enrich source of phytochemicals thereby possess antibacterial, antifungal and hyperglycaemic activities. In this study, we attempted to examine the cognitive ability of methanolic and ethanolic extract of F. infectoria fruit extract in scopolamine induced memory impairment in mice by using preliminary phytochemical and antioxidant tests, and the cognitive ability of the methanolic and ethanolic fruit extract of F. infectoria. Fruit extract was analyzed in scopolamine amnesia mice using passive avoidance approach. Piracetam was used as a reference drug (200 mg/Kg). Further confirmation was provided by means of mice brain homogenate biochemical tests. Maximum phytochemical, antioxidant activity and nootropic ability were observed in the ethanolic fruit extract of F. infectoria. Plant extract was used at three doses i.e. 75 mg/Kg, 150 mg/Kg and 300 mg/Kg and exhibited nootropic abilities in all tests used. Enhanced SDL value i.e. (291.2 ± 0.33+++###) was observed by the administration of plant extract at all dose range in comparison to reference drug i.e. piracetam (252.8 ± 1.60###) used in the study. The plant extract utilization has showed increase in total protein (25.08 ± 0.26+++### mg/g of tissue) and reduced glutathione content (33.0 ± 0.46+++### nmoles/mg of protein) and vice versa while low malondialehyde (MDA) (9.18 ± 0.17+++### nmoles/mg of protein) and AChE activity (0.067 ± 0.009+++### M/min/g protein). However, opposite situation was observed in the scopolamine amnesia mice. Hence it was concluded the plant extract possessed neuroprotective activity in the scopolamine induced cognitive decline in mice thereby used as cost effective natural medicines in near future.

Phytochemical investigations of the ethanolic extract of leaves of Clutia lanceolata(Family:Euphorbiaceae)resulted in the isolation of four compounds viz.3,4-dihydroxy-2-methylbenzoic acid(1),2,20-dihydroxy-1,10-binaphthyl(2),1,3,8-trihydroxy-6-methylanthracene-9,10-dione(3)and 5-hydroxy-1,7-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)hepta-1,4,6-trien-3-one(4).Although all the isolated compounds were known but this was the first report from this plant *** structures were established on the basis of chemical and physical evidences *** analysis,FT-IR,1 H-NMR,13CNMR and mass spectral *** of compound 2 and 4 was further authenticated by single-crystal X-ray analysis and density functional theory *** isolated compounds(1–4)were screened for AChE enzyme inhibition assay in which compound 3 and 4 were found to be more potent AChE *** docking study of potent AChE inhibitor was performed to find the probable binding mode of the compounds into the active site of ***,the isolated compounds were also screened for in vivo cytotoxicity by brine shrimp lethality assay.

D^(2)PAM:Epileptic seizures prediction using adversarial deep dual patch attention mechanism

Epilepsy is considered as a serious brain disorder in which patients frequently experience *** seizures are defined as the unexpected electrical changes in brain neural activity,which leads to *** researches made an intense effort for predicting the epileptic seizures using brain signal ***,they faced difficulty in obtaining the patients'characteristics because the model's distribution turned to fake predictions,affecting the model's *** addition,the existing prediction models have severe issues,such as overfitting and false positive *** overcome these existing issues,we propose a deep learning approach known as Deep dual‐patch attention mechanism(D^(2)PAM)for classifying the pre‐ictal signals of people with Epilepsy based on the brain *** neural network is integrated with D^(2)PAM,and it lowers the effect of differences between patients to predict *** multi‐network design enhances the trained model's generalisability and stability ***,the proposed model for processing the brain signal is designed to transform the signals into data blocks,which is appropriate for pre‐ictal *** earlier warning of epilepsy with the proposed model obtains the auxiliary *** data of real patients for the experiments provides the improved accuracy by D2PAM approximation compared to the existing *** be more distinctive,the authors have analysed the performance of their work with five patients,and the accuracy comes out to be 95%,97%,99%,99%,and 99%***,the numerical results unveil that the proposed work outperforms the existing models.

Electricity is essential for keeping power networks balanced between supply and demand,especially since it costs a lot to *** article talks about different deep learning methods that are used to guess how much green energy different Asian countries will *** main goal is to make reliable and accurate predictions that can help with the planning of new power plants to meet rising *** is a new deep learning model called the Green-electrical Production Ensemble(GP-Ensemble).It combines three types of neural networks:convolutional neural networks(CNNs),gated recurrent units(GRUs),and feedforward neural networks(FNNs).The model promises to improve prediction *** 1965–2023 dataset covers green energy generation statistics from ten Asian *** to the rising energy supply-demand mismatch,the primary goal is to develop the best model for predicting future power *** GP-Ensemble deep learning model outperforms individual models(GRU,FNN,and CNN)and alternative approaches such as fully convolutional networks(FCN)and other ensemble models in mean squared error(MSE),mean absolute error(MAE)and root mean squared error(RMSE)*** study enhances our ability to predict green electricity production over time,with MSE of 0.0631,MAE of 0.1754,and RMSE of *** may influence laws and enhance energy management.
