Context and Aim: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) have emerged as ideal candidates for advanced therapies of various therapeutically-challenging diseases;however, their regenerative potential in diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) has not been well determined. In this study, we reviewed our clinical experience in mitigating chronic ulcer complications of diabetic foot through a conventional treatment of autologous adipose-derived MSCs embedded in PRF with pure PRF injections. Materials and Methods: The present study was carried out in 10 patients with an open DFU wound selected over a period of 1 year starting from April 2019. Patients were either injected with PRF alone (Group A) or injected with MSCs derived from adipose tissue (ADMSC) embedded in (PRF (Group B). Results: Patients in Group B had a better healing index when compared to Group A. Conclusion: Use of ADMSC embedded in PRF showed promising results to treat DFU.

Introduction: Endometriosis affects up to 1 every 5 women at their reproductive age, with variable and complex symptomatology. Patients may be asymptomatic but may have pain episodes or subfertility. Its negative impact is on patients’ health and quality of life. Objective: it was to investigate the serum and peritoneal fluid (PF) concentrations of Angiopoietin- 2, Interleukin-1β, and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor, aiming to evaluate their diagnostic performance in endometriosis. Methods: Serum and peritoneal fluid samples were taken from 112 women undergoing laparoscopy for infertility, pelvic pain or adnexal masses. 61 diagnosed with endometriosis and 51 controlled. Primary outcome was to estimate serum and PF concentrations of Angio-2, IL-1β and VEGF and secondarily correlate these concentrations to disease stages thus assuming their diagnostic potential. Results: Significant differences were found between patients and control as regards serum and PF concentration of all studied markers except serum IL-1β. Serum Angio-2 and PF VEGF showed a significantly higher level in more advanced stages of endometriosis. PF VEGF showed a positively significant correlation with the stage of the disease, spearman coefficient t = 0.442 p = 0.014. PF concentrations of Angio-2 and Serum VEGF did not show significant pattern changes with stage-related levels. Diagnostic potential of serum and PF concentrations of the 3 markers were assessed by the ROC curve. Angio-2 proved an excellent diagnostic ability for endometriosis. PF and serum VEGF proved an equal diagnostic performance, whereas, PF IL-1β was the least efficient. Based on the results, we suggested preliminary serum threshold values for these markers to be used as diagnostic or follow-up landmarks with relatively acceptable sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values. Objective:Despite resection with curative intent,a majority of patients with gastric cancer will develop disease *** adjuvant chemo-radiotherapy increase the curability of surgery,prevent local recurrence and improve ***:Between December 2005 and February 2010,33 patients were eligible for the study,17 patients were randomly assigned for chemo-radiotherapy (GI) and 16 patients with surgery alone (GII).Patients in GI received chemotherapy (fluorouracil,425 mg/m 2/day,and leucovorin,20 mg/m 2/day,for 5 days) was initiated on day 1 and was followed by chemo-radiotherapy beginning 28 days after the start of the initial cycle of ***-radiotherapy consisted of 4500 cGy of radiation at 180 cGy/day,five days/week for five weeks,with fluorouracil (400 mg/m 2/day) and leucovorin (20 mg/m 2/day) on the first four and the last four days of *** month after the completion of radiotherapy,two five-day cycles of fluorouracil (425 mg/m 2/day) plus leucovorin (20 mg/m 2/day) were given one month ***:Grade 3 gastrointestinal toxicity was more common (23.2%) while grade 3 hematological toxicity were (5.8%).Both 3-year survival (53%) and disease free survival (41%) rates were higher in GI than in GII in which they were 43.7% and 31% *** rate was higher in GII (56.3%) than in GI (35.3%).Conclusion:The present study revealed that chemo-radiotherapy after gastric resection in patients with gastric adenocarcinoma improves survival and relapse rates with manageable ***,studies with larger number of patients are recommended to confirm our results.

This paper proposes a single integrated traffic enforcement system that is able to recognize and report various traffic violations. It consists of a Wi-Fi infrastructure that enables communication between moving vehicles and a central node. Unlike existing solutions, which address single violations, the proposed model encompasses several issues like exceeding speed limits, entering a no entry street, car theft, congestion and tolling. OPNET simulations were run to test the Wi-Fi model and define its different characteristics and limitations. A proof-of-concept case was modeled, and the proposed architecture succeeded in meeting all design requirements.

在最近的病例报告中，牙周骨内袋缺损经釉基质提取物治疗后，对人牙周组织再生的组织学观察得到了不同的结果。本例为46岁女性，下颌第一磨牙计划拔除，其远中根存在一处深的骨内袋缺损，对其使用釉基质提取物进行治疗。术中在牙石最根方的牙根表面做凹槽标记。术后9个月获取包括远中根及其周围牙周组织的组织块。组织学分析证实在邻面和根分歧表面存在2种不同的愈合方式。在牙根的远中面可见到新生的细胞性牙骨质、骨和有功能性纤维排列的牙周膜形成，即有牙周组织再生，而在根分歧表面则出现了骨固连。本报告显示了牙周骨内袋缺损经过釉基质提取物治疗后，在同一缺损内的愈合中出现了生物学多样性。导致这种多样性的宿主特异的内源性和／或外源性因素有待研究。
