Objective:Zuogui Wan(ZGW)has been used as a typical prescription for tonifying kidney essence in traditional Chinese *** objective of this study is to elucidate the phytochemical constituents of ZGW-treated rat serum(ZGWRS)using ultra-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization/quadrupole-time-of-flight high-definition mass spectrometry(UPLC-ESI-Q-TOF-MS).Methods:ZGW was administered to rats,and the phytochemical constituents in rat serum were determined using *** analysis in negative ion mode was adopted to characterize the chemical constituents of *** partial least squares discriminant analysis was applied for the discovery of constituents of ZGW that entered the serum of *** fertilized eggs collected from the same experiment were randomly divided into four groups,including the normal,40 mmol/L glucose,40 mmol/L glucose 5%control rat serum,and 40 mmol/L glucose 5%ZGWRS *** were cultivated at 37°C and 5%CO2 in a saturated humidity CO2 *** blastocyst rate and two-cell rate were used to evaluate the effects of ZGWRS on embryonic ***:Thirteen constituents were identified in the ZGWRS,among which sweroside,loganin,morroniside,loganic acid,and 8-epiloganic acid were from Fructus Corni(Shan Zhu Yu).5-Hydroxymethyl-2-furfural-glucuronide,2-H-5-hydroxymethyl-2-furfural-glucuronide,3-hydroxy-2,6,6-trimethyl-1-cyclohexene-1-carboxylic acid,andβ-D-ribofuranuronic acid methyl ester triacetate were from Radix Rehmanniae Preparata(Shu Di huang).Coumaric acid was from Fructus Lycii(Gou Qi Zi).Kaempferol-3-beta-O-glucuronide and cuscutamine were from Semen Cuscutae(Tu Si Zi).The embryonic development was significantly inhibited using 40 mmol/L *** with the normal group,the blastocyst rate of the glucose group was *** blastocyst rate of the 40 mmol/L glucose 5%ZGWRS group was significantly higher than that of the glucose group,indicating that ZGWRS negates the

Safety and efficacy of levofloxacin versus ciprofloxacin for the treatment of chronic bacterial prostatitis in Chinese patients

Levofloxacin is a synthetic fluoroquinolone that is usually used to treat chronic bacterial prostatitis. We investigated the safety and efficacy of levofloxacin compared with ciprofloxacin for the treatment of chronic bacterial prostatitis in Chinese patients. This was a multicenter, open-label, randomized controlled non-inferiority trial. Four hundred and seventy-one patients with clinical symptoms/ signs were enrolled into the study, and 408 patients were microbiologically confirmed chronic bacterial prostatitis, who were randomized to either oral levofloxacin （500 mg q,d.） or ciprofloxacin （500 mg b.i^d.） for 4 weeks. Bacterial clearance rate, clinical symptoms/signs, adverse reactions and disease recurrence were assessed. The clinical symptoms and signs （including dysuria, perineal discomfort or pain） and bacteria cultures in 209 patients treated with levofloxacin and 199 patients treated with ciprofloxacin were similar. The most common bacteria were Escherichia cofiand Staphylococcus aureus. One to four weeks after the end of 4 weeks treatment, the bacterial clearance rate （86.06% vs. 60.03%; P〈O.05） and the clinical efficacy （including clinical cure and clinical improvement（93.30% vs. 71.86%; P〈0.05）） were significantly higher in the levofloxacin-treated group than in the ciprofloxacin-treated group. The microbiological recurrence rate was significantly lower in the levofloxacin-treated group than in the ciprofloxacin-treated group （4.00% vs. 19.25%; P〈0.05）. Rates of adverse events and treatment-related adverse events were slightly lower in the levofloxacin-treated group than in ciprofloxacin-treated group. Levofloxacin showed some advantages over ciprofloxacin in terms of clinical efficacy and disease recurrence, with a low rate of adverse events, for the treatment of chronic bacterial prostatitis in Chinese patients.

Clinical outcomes of microdissection testicular sperm extraction-intracytoplasmic sperm injection with fresh or cryopreserved sperm in patients with nonobstructive azoospermia

We performed this study to evaluate the clinical outcomes of microdissection testicular sperm extraction-intracytoplasmic sperm injection(micro-TESE-ICSI)treatment that used fresh or cryopreserved sperm in patients with nonobstructive azoospermia(NOA).A total of 338 NOA patients with 344 consecutive cycles received treatment in the reproductive medicine center of Peking university Third Hospital in beijing,china,from January 2014 to December *** oocytes and fresh sperm were used in 222 patients with 234 cycles(Group A).Fresh oocytes and cryopreserved sperm were used in 116 patients with 110 cycles(Group B).We compared patient characteristics,embryonic development,and pregnancy outcomes between Groups A and *** was no statistical difference in the patient characteristics,and no differences were observed with fertilization or quality embryo rates between Groups A and *** rates of clinical pregnancy and live birth were both higher for Group A than those for Group B(both P<0.05).In conclusion,fresh testicular sperm appears to produce better ICSI outcomes than cryopreserved testicular sperm in patients with NOA.

锂离子电池的安全和热失控问题,限制了其在各领域的广泛应用。为了更准确地检测电池异常情况中的内短路与开路故障,提出一种基于多算法融合的锂离子电池故障诊断方法。首先,采用逐次变分模态分解(sequential variational mode decomposition,SVMD)计算每个电池单体的最大电压波动,并通过箱线图和离群点检测来识别异常单体。其次,根据SVMD得到的电压均值差的绝对值,结合斜率计算和统计分析,检测潜在的内短路或开路故障。最后,利用实际锂离子电池的热失控数据对所提方法进行验证。结果表明,该方法可以在热失控发生前55 min进行预警,并能精确识别内短路或开路故障单体,具有较高的可靠性和工程应用价值。

目的了解石家庄地区3岁儿童龋齿的患病状况,探讨其与家庭喂养习惯的关系,对其预防和早期干预提供依据。方法在石家庄市区抽取1680名3岁儿童进行临床口腔检查并向接受检查的儿童监护人发放调查问卷,最终统计分析调查数据。结果共有1104名儿童患龋,患龋率为66.67%。单因素分析结果显示患龋儿童与未患龋儿童在孩子长牙后是否有含奶头或奶瓶入睡、长牙后孩子喂奶或进食后是否及时清洁牙面、孩子现在是否经常吃零食方面相比,差异均具有统计学意义(P0.05)。多因素分析结果显示孩子长牙后含奶头或奶瓶入睡、孩子现在经常吃零食是3岁儿童患龋的危险因素,孩子长牙后喂奶或进食后及时清洁牙面是3岁儿童患龋的保护因素。结论石家庄市区3岁儿童患龋率较高,孩子长牙后含奶头或奶瓶入睡、孩子现在经常吃零食均是低龄儿童龋的危险因素,应加强口腔护理。

We report the in situ transmission electron microscope (TEM) observation of the catalytic gasification and growth of carbon nanotubes (CNTs). It was found that iron catalysts can consume the CNTs when pumping out the precursor gas, acetylene, at the growth temperature, and reinitiate the growth when acetylene is re-introduced. The switching between gasification and growth of CNTs can be repeated many times with the same catalyst. To understand the phenomenon, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) coupled with mass spectroscopy was used to study the mechanism involved. It was shown that the residual water molecules in the growth chamber of the TEM react with and remove carbon atoms of CNTs as carbon monoxide vapor under the action of the catalyst, when the precursor gas is pumped out. This result contributes to a better understanding of the water-assisted and oxygen-assisted synthesis of CNT arrays, and provides useful clues on how to extend the lifetime and improve the activity of the catalysts.

Background:Melatonin,a natural hormone secreted by the pineal gland,has been reported to exhibit antitumor properties through diverse mechanisms of ***,the oncostatic function of melatonin on esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) remains *** study was conducted to investigate the potential effect and underlying molecular mechanism of melatonin as single anticancer agent against ESCC ***:ESCC cell lines treated with or without melatonin were used in this *** vitro colony formation and 5-Ethynyl-2’-deoxyuridine(EdU) incorporation assays,and nude mice tumor xenograft model were used to confirm the proliferative capacities of ESCC ***-seq,qPCR,Western blotting,recombinant lentivirus-mediated target gene overexpression or knockdown,plasmids transfection and co-IP were applied to investigate the underlying molecular mechanism by which melatonin inhibited ESCC cell *** staining on ESCC tissue microarray and further survival analyses were performed to explore the relationship between target genes’ expression and prognosis of ***:Melatonin treatment dose-dependently inhibited the proliferative ability and the expression of histone deacetylase 7(HDAC7),c-Myc and ubiquitin-specific peptidase 10(USP10) in ESCC cells(P<0.05).The expressions of HDAC7,c-Myc and USP10 in tumors were significantly higher than the paired normal tissues from 148 ESCC patients(P<0.001).Then,the Kaplan-Meier survival analysis suggested that ESCC patients with high HDAC7,c-Myc or USP10levels predicted worse overall survival(log-rank P<0.001).Co-IP and Western blotting further revealed that HDAC7physically deacetylated and activated β-catenin thus promoting downstream target c-Myc gene ***,our mechanistic study validated that HDAC7/β-catenin/c-Myc could form the positive feedback loop to enhance ESCC cell growth,and USP10 could deubiquitinate and stabilize HDAC7 protein in the ESCC ***,we verified that inhibition

The controllable construction of light-emitting organometallic supramolecular materials integrating stimulus responses and biological applications is still a major challenge *** this work,emissive organometallic assemblies based on AgI/AuI and mesoionic carbene-decorated tetraphenylethene(MIC-TPE)ligands have been synthesized and *** studies showed that these organometallic assemblies[M_(4)(2)_(2)](OTf)_(4) not only fluoresce in various dilute solutions,resulting from the rigidification of MIC-TPE ligands upon complexation,but also show tunable fluorescence wavelengths and intensity behaviors in mixed solvent systems and at varying temperatures while in solution,and mechanical pressure stimulus-responsive fluorescent features in the solid ***,the organometallic cages[M_(4)(2)_(2)](OTf)_(4)(M=Ag and Au)were successfully employed for cell imaging and showed the potential of anticancer activity,making them promising candidates for cancer *** work provides a simple and efficient method to prepare highly emissive and stimulus-responsive organometallic materials and paves the way for related biological applications such as cancer cell imaging and targeted therapy.

A new HPV-16/18 bivalent vaccine expressed by the Escherichia coli has been proven to be efficacious in adult women.A randomized,immunogenicity noninferiority study of this candidate vaccine was conducted in December 2015 in *** aged 9–14 years were randomized to receive 2 doses at months 0 and 6(n=301)or 3 doses at months 0,1 and 6(n=304).Girls aged 15–17 years(n=149)and women aged 18–26 years(n=225)received 3 *** objectives included noninferiority analysis of the IgG geometric mean concentration(GMC)ratio(95%CI,lower bound>0.5)to HPV-16 and HPV-18 at month 7 in girls compared with *** the per-protocol set,the GMC ratio of IgG was noninferior for girls aged 9–17 years receiving 3 doses compared with women(1.76(95%CI,1.56,1.99)for HPV-16 and 1.93(95%CI,1.69,2.21)for HPV-18)and noninferior for girls aged 9–14 years receiving 2 doses compared with women(1.45(95%CI,1.25,1.62)for HPV-16 and 1.17(95%CI,1.02,1.33)for HPV-18).Noninferiority was also demonstrated for neutralizing *** immunogenicity of the HPV vaccine in girls receiving 3 or 2 doses was noninferior compared with that in young adult women.
