Background and aim:Mixed cryoglobulinemia(MC)has been associated with several viral infections,and chronic hepatitis C is recognized as a major *** associated with hepatitis E virus(HEV)has been described and little is known about this rare *** aim of this study is to perform a systematic review of MC associated with HEV,and examine the presence of a causal ***:An experienced librarian conducted a search of databases from each database’s inception to 12 December 2016 based on a priori *** risk of bias was assessed,and Hill’s criteria were applied to determine ***:Five publications met inclusion criteria,with a total of 15 *** studies had low,one low to moderate and one moderate risk of *** age was 43 years,and all patients came from Western *** patients were immunocompetent,while 13 were immunosuppressed,post solid organ transplant and had chronic hepatitis *** involvement was observed in seven patients,mild to moderately severe cryoglobulinemic disease in one patient and severe cryoglobulinemic disease in three *** patient improved spontaneously,and another was treated with immunosuppressant reduction leading to viral *** patients treated with peg-interferon or ribavirin for 3 months achieved loss of cryoglobulinemia and end-of-treatment response,but sustained virologic response was reported and achieved in *** achieved loss of cryoglobulinemia in three *** case of chronic renal failure,three cases of end-stage renal disease and one death were *** of the nine Hill’s criteria were ***:MC has been described with HEV infection.A causal relationship between HEV infection and cryoglobulinemia is highly probable.

Microstructure-Fatigue Crack Propagation Kinetics Relationships of Rail Steels

Microstructural analysis and fatigue crack propagation behavior of three types of rail steels, was performed. These are premium pearlitic, austenitic manganese （AM） and bainitic rail steels. Rectangular un-notched and notched test specimens were machined from railheads of each material using electrical discharge machining （EDM） and used for the mechanical properties and fatigue evaluation respectively. Bainitic steel has the highest yield strength, ultimate strength, and strain to failure as compared to both pearlitic and austenitic manganese steels. Fatigue studies showed that the crack speed for the bainitic steel is lower than that for the pearlitie and the AM steels over the entire range of the energy release rate. The bainitic steel exhibits a higher rate of crack deceleration in the second stage, as indicated by the lower slope of the fatigue crack propagation kinetics curve in comparison with the pearlitic and manganese rail steels. This attests to the superior fatigue damage tolerance of the bainitic rail steel in comparison to pearlitic and austenitic manganese rail steels. Microstructural analysis of the three rail steels revealed that bainitic steel has a more intricate structure than AM and pearlitic steels. AM steel shows very few signs of being work hardened or toughened, which usually increases the mechanical properties of the material. As the number of alloying elements increase, the microstructure of the steel becomes more complex, resulting in the increase of mechanical properties and fatigue fracture resistance of bainitic rail steel.

发达国家和发展中国家在农业生产实践中为增加作物产量,减少收获后损失,大量使用化学制剂以便从中最大限度地提高农业收入。氨基甲酸酯类杀虫剂灭多威广泛用于防治蜘蛛,蜱和螨虫等昆虫,能直接或间接作用于生物本身。农药的使用不仅影响农作物本身,水产养殖中受影响的水体环境也是全世界关注的焦点问题。在水产养殖中薄荷由于作用效果明显且副作用少,其使用的应用基础研究越来越受到关注。有研究表明,薄荷具有诸多生物活性效应,如促进摄食、生长,抗氧化等。本实验以浮床种植薄荷为对象,探究灭多威对吉富罗非鱼生长、抗氧化系统的影响,以及对应的养殖水体环境变化、植物不同部位残留量及消除降解规律。本文研究了慢性亚致死剂量灭多威对薄荷（Mentha haplocalyx Briq.）浮床条件下吉富罗非鱼（Oreochromis niloticus）生长性能和肝脏抗氧化系统的影响。将罗非鱼幼鱼暴露于0.2,2,20和200 μg/L的灭多威中45天,六周喂养试验结束后采样,在第2,4,6周测定吉富罗非鱼肝脏抗氧化性,其中包括超氧化物歧化酶（SOD）、过氧化氢酶（CAT）、谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶（GPx）和还原型谷胱甘肽（GSH）含量。结果显示最高浓度灭多威（200 μ g/L）组的终体重（WG）,增重量（BWG）和特定生长率（SGR）显著降低（P＜0.05）。200 μg/L灭多威组饵料系数（FCR）显著增加（P＜0.05）。与对照组相比,0.2 μg/L灭多威组肝脏SOD,CAT,GPx无显著性差异（P＞0.05）。在2,20或200μg/L灭多威组,GSH水平显著降低,SOD,CAT和GPx活性显著增加（P＞0.05）。与对照组相比,高浓度组SOD,CAT,GPx和GSH分别为对照组的157.63%,164.05%和167.46%,GSH的最低抑制率为66.42%。灭多威对吉富罗非鱼有毒,薄荷浮床可缓解因灭多威导致的生长迟缓和氧化应激等不利影响,进而具备在水产养殖中作为膳食补充剂的应用基础。静态利用浮床薄荷处理吉富罗非鱼养殖水环境,观测水体中N、P含量变化。本试验分四个处理组:对照组（罗非鱼+无薄荷）,T1组（罗非鱼+50 g湿薄荷）,T2组（罗非鱼+100 g湿薄荷）和T3组（罗非鱼+200 g湿薄荷）。结果表明:T3组中的NH4+-N,NO2--N,NO3--N和TP显著低于T2,T1和对照组（P＜0.05）。薄荷浮床能在20天内降低养殖水体中NH4+-N（61.90%）,NO2--N（31.59%）,NO3--N（59.86%）和TP（45.92%）浓度,随薄荷密度增加,罗非鱼养殖水体中的N、P浓度降低。收集染毒浓度为200 μg/L灭多威处理组养殖条件下浮床中的薄荷,采用固相萃取（SPE）和Cleanet TPT柱对收集的样品进行前处理,利用超高效液相色谱-质谱（UPLC-MS）法探究浮床薄荷条件下灭多威的消除规律,并检测薄荷不同部位中灭多威的残留量,以便确定作物收获前的安全期。20天左右在薄荷根、叶茎中检测到较高的灭多威,浓度分别为79.52 μ g/kg和44.54 μ g/kg,薄荷中灭多威残留在15天内持续下降至低于一半;和实验初期相比,叶茎和根中的残留量分别为16.73 μ g/kg,25.29 μg/kg。实验中检测到的最大残留量低于国标中食品灭多威的最大残留限量（200 μ g/kg）,且15天后,低于可接受的每日摄入量（20 μg/kg）。

Peptoids with aliphatic sidechains as helical structures without hydrogen bonds and collagen/ inverse-collagen type structures

Aliphatic homo-polypeptoids of NAla, NVal, NIle and NLeu both in the presence and absence of protecting groups adopt helical structures without hydrogen bonds with Φ, Ψ values of ~ 0, ± 90° with trans amide bonds. These structures are stabilized by carbonyl-carbonyl interactions and characterized by ~ 3.16 residues per turn with a pitch of ~ 6.13 ?. It has been shown that like polyvaline and polyleucine peptides, poly-peptoids can also be exploited for the construction of potential surfactant like molecules by incorporating charged amino acid residues at the N terminal. A single-handed template with Φ, Ψ values of ~ 0, 90° can be attained by incorporating L-leu or L-val at the C-terminal of poly-NIle. Analysis of the simulation results in water as a function of time reveals that the opening of helical structures without hydrogen bonds takes place at sub-picosecond time scale starting from the N-terminal. This leads to the formation of collagen or inverse-collagen type structures (Φ, Ψ ~ -60, 145° and 60, -145° respectively) stabilized by interactions of water molecules with the backbone carbonyl groups.

Conformational behavior of stereo regular substituted polyglycolides is side chain dependent

Substituted polyglycolides having two asymmetric centers are attractive alternatives to materials derived from petroleum because of their biocompatibility and biodegradability. The conformational behavior of various substituted polyglycolides has been investigated by both quantum mechanical and molecular dynamics approaches. Polymethylglycolide (polylactide) and polyphenylmethylglycolide in RS or SR forms are predicted to adopt 27 ribbon type structures with φ, ψ values of ±30, ±50 or +30 or +50 respectively stabilised by carbonyl-carbonyl interactions. Isopropylglycolide and isobutyl-glycolide having branching at β & γ positions respectively in their side chains can be realized in all SS form with φ, ψ values lying in right handed helical region. In addition to carbonyl-carbonyl interactions, the hydrophobic interactions between the side chains in isopropylgly-colide the C-H-O interactions also contributes to the stability. With cyclic side chains directly attached to Cα of backbone, polyphenylglycolide (polymandelide) and polycyclohexylglycolide are found to adopt left handed helical structure without hydrogen bonds in RR form, stabilised by stacking interactions and hydrophobic interactions respectively. In all the forms of polyphenylglycolide & polycyclohexylglycolide, the cyclic side chains are found to be locked into unfavourable gauche plus conformation. The stability of substituted polyglycolides has been analyzed in terms of various interactions. The carbonyl-carbonyl interactions in all the conformations of all forms of substituted polyglycolides are found to be of highly shielded parallel motif with only one short carbon-oxygen interaction. Simulation studies of substituted polyglycolides in water give a good insight of the approach of water molecules to the backbone.

Acute pancreatitis(AP)associated with intravenous administration of propofol has been described with unknown causal *** therefore assessed this causality in a systematic *** databases were searched on 16 August 2017;studies were appraised and selected by two reviewers based on a priori *** causality was evaluated with the Naranjo scale and Badalov *** identified 18 studies from 11 countries with a total of 21 patients,and the majority had adequate methodological *** median age was 35 years(range,4–77)and 10(48%)were ***,propofol was administrated in 8 patients as sedative along with induction/maintenance of anesthesia in 13 patients;median dose was 200 mg,with intermediate latency(1–30 days)in 14(67%).Serum triglycerides were>1000 mg/dL in four *** AP was observed in four patients(19%).AP recurrence occurred in one out of two patients who underwent *** related to AP was 3/21(14%).Propofol was the probable cause of AP according to the Naranjo scale in 19 patients(89%).Propofol-induced AP has a probable causal relation and evidence supports Badalov class *** is not the only mechanism by which propofol illicit ***-induced AP was severe in 19%of patients with a mortality rate related to AP of 14%.Future research is needed to delineate whether this risk is higher if combined with other procedures that portend inherent risk of pancreatitis such as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography.

In Vitro Angiogenic Behavior of HUVECs on Biomimetic SF/SA Composite Scaffolds

The 60Fc and 70Fc SF/SA blend scaffolds were prepared to mimic the functions of the native ECM for skin *** Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells(HUVECs)were used to examine the cell cytotoxicity,adhesion,growth factors secretion and the gene expression of associated angiogenic *** proliferation,adhesion and live-dead analyses showed that HUVECs could better attach,grow,and proliferate on the 70Fc scaffolds compared with 60Fc scaffolds and unmodified ***,the 70Fc scaffolds showed higher levels of specific angiogenic proteins and genes expression as *** study suggests that the involvement of higher composition of SF(about 70%)than that of SA on the blended scaffolds could be advantageous as it is more suitable to promote angiogenesis,which is potential for vascularization during skin repair.

Agriculture plays an important and critical role in the economy of Pakistan. It contributes around 21 percent to GDP, accounts for 60 percent of its exports, and provides employment to over 46 percent of labor force. Providing sufficient food to a growing population is a major development challenge for the country. Water is a key parameter in development of agriculture and food security in a country like Pakistan. The country over the time is moving towards water stress and scarcity. The irrigation efficiency of the Indus basin irrigation system has been estimated to be 40 percent. This target can only be accomplished by improving irrigation water management ensuring equity, efficiency and reliability in water distribution and user satisfaction. The need to adopt new improved practices to manage the water resources with respect to improvement in performance of service delivery and sustainability of the irrigation infrastructure led the Government of Pakistan towards comprehensive Institutional Reforms in water sector to ensure effective planning, development and management of all water resources within the country. This was an important step in the process of implementing the necessary institutional reforms in the irrigation sector. The reform area focused on the decentralization of the irrigation system management, through public and private partnership, participation of farmers and resource governance. Hence the Act focuses on decentralization of a centrally controlled irrigation system（Provincial Irrigation Department-PID） into a three tier public private partnership based management system. The institutional reforms in irrigation and drainage sector introduced a new approach of decentralization and management transfer of irrigation and drainage from public sector to a multi tier institutions with farmers participation. Immunomodulatory effects of barberry’s(Berberis integerrima)ingredients on macrophages:an in-vitro study

Objective:To investigate suppressive effects of barberry ingredients on ***:Barberry alcoholic and aqueous extracts were obtained and tested on macrophages and lipopolysaccharide-stimulated *** oxide levels were determined using Griess method and MTT assay which were done for evaluation of macrophage *** tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)and interleukin-12(IL-12)were measured by ELISA ***:MTT reduction capability was the same in all groups,unless the group with higher doses of extracts(P<0.05).Both extracts suppressed nitric oxide production(P<0.05).TNF-αproduction were suppressed by low doses of both extracts and induced by aqueous extract(P<0.05).IL-6 release was suppressed and IL-12 was induced(P<0.05).Conclusions:This study showed anti-inflammatory functions of barberry’s ingredients on macrophages,and at the same time displayed a low cytotoxic *** in cytokine production was various as data shows decrease in TNF-αand IL-6 levels and induction in IL-12 released by *** data propose diverse medical use of barberry in treatment of different disorders but with more precision.
