The possible relationship between lung cancer and nocturnal intermittent hypoxia,apnea and daytime sleepiness,especially the possible relationship between the occurrence and progression of lung cancer and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) was ***-five cases of primary lung cancer suitable for surgical resection at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University between January 2017 and December 2017 were recruited (lung cancer group),and there were 45 patients in the control group who had no significant differences in age,sex and other general data from lung cancer *** analyzed covariates included general situation,snore score,the Epworth Sleeping Scale (ESS),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI),apnea and hypopneas index (AHI),oxygen desaturation index 4 (ODk),lowest arterial oxygen saturation [LSpCh (%)],oxygen below 90% of the time [T90%(min)],the percentage of the total recorded time spend below 90% oxygen saturation (TS90%),to explore the possible relationship between lung cancer and above *** participants were followed up for one *** results showed that:(1) There was significant difference in body mass index (BMI),ESS,AHI,T90%(min),TS90%,ODh,snore score and LSpCh (%) between lung cancer group and control group (P0.05);(2) Patients in the lung cancer group were divided into OSAS subgroup and non- OSAS subgroup according to the international standard for the diagnosis of *** was significant difference in BMI,age,staging,incidence of concurrent hypertension and concurrent CHD,snore score,ESS score,T90%(min),TS90%,ODh and LSpCh (%) between OSAS subgroup and non-OSAS subgroup (P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in gender,PSQI score,incidence of concurrent diabetes,smoking history an

The study tries to reveal the situation and development trends of China's graphene research utilizing National Science and Technology Reports(NSTR) as the new data resource. Findings show a continual increase of graphene projects sponsored by the government. Most of them are from the National Basic Research Program of China and the National High-tech R&D Program,which reflects mainly aiming for breakthroughs of China's graphene research in major frontier fields and promoting industrial competitiveness. As a new material in nanometer area,the graphene research mainly focuses on nanometer research area. Besides,it has also involved more in the promising applications,such as advanced energy technology,biological and medical technology,testing and analytical instrument technology,etc. Major players are universities and research institutes,and they have collaborated a lot. Few enterprises have played an important role in the collaboration network,so China's graphene research is still mainly in the basic research step. Key scholars with their research interests have been revealed.

An ultraviolet (UV) laser lift-off (LLO) technique was presented to form a roughened surface morphol-ogy on GaN membrane grown by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). The etched sur-face showed cone-like structures on a free-standing GaN membrane. Based on the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atom force microscopy (AFM) measurements, the etching mechanism was proposed, which was related to the different decomposition depth caused by the dislocations in the GaN membrane. The etching efficiency and morphology of GaN by the LLO technique and the photo-electrochemical (PEC) wet etching technique was compared and analyzed. This roughed cone-like surface morphology by LLO can enhance the external efficiency of vertical structure n-side-up GaN-based light-emitting diodes (LEDs) simultaneously while being released of the performance con-strains impeded by sapphire.

The preparation of the single domain GBCO bulk with 25 mm in diameter in air was reported. In order to avoid the Gd ions substituted the Ba sites, different BaCuO2 contents was added into the precursor powders. Tc of the samples achieved 94.3 K. The magnetization hysteresis loops of the samples were measured at 77 K. It is shown that the irreverswas obtained.

Spectrofluorometry of Ions and Small Molecules Based on Conformational Changes of Specific Oligonucleotides with o-Phthalaldehyde-β-mercaptoethanol

Specific oligonucleotides such as telomere DNA and aptamer often undergo conformational changes upon ligand binding. Composite reagent composed of o-phthalaldehyde and β-mercaptoethanol（OPAME） has been extensively applied to fluorescent detection of amino compounds based on the reaction of primary amino-group, herein we proposed a general spectrofluorometry for ions and small molecules due to conformational changes upon ligand binding taking K^＋ and ATP as examples. In a borate controlled buffer medium, telomere DNA could react with OPAME, giving a thio-subtituted isoindole compound with strong fluorescence emission at 455 nm when excited at 340 nm. It was found that however, the fluorescence emission was greatly reduced in the presence of K^＋ since the formation of the quadruplex structure inhibits the reaction activity of amino-groups of telomere DNA. In order to testify the general application of OPAME reagent based on the conformational change of oligonucleotides, we further proposed a sensitive method of ATP based on its highly selective interaction with ATP-aptamer. The above mentioned applications show that the spectrofluorometry with the aid of OPAME reagent is simple, label free that is expected to be potentially general for DNA conformational change-based target detection.

A parameter perturbation for the unsteady-state heat-transfer characteristics of honeycomb regenerator is presented. It is limited to the cases where the storage matrix has a small wall thickness so that no temperature variation in the matrix perpendicular to the flow direction is considered. Starting from a two-phase transient thermal model for the gas and storage matrix, an approximate solution for regenerator heat transfer process is derived using the multiple-scale method for the limiting case where the longitudinal heat conduction of solid matrix is far less than the convective heat transfer between the gas and the solid. The regenerator temperature profiles are expressed as Taylor series of the coefficient of solid heat conduction item in the model. The analytical validity is shown by comparing the perturbation solution with the experiment and the numerical solution. The results show that it is possible for the perturbation to improve the effectiveness and economics of thermal research on regenerators.
