Are gender inclusiveness and rural transformation interlinked?The case of Bangladesh

A simple structure of highly nonlinear dispersion-flattened square photonic crystal fiber is proposed to get nearly zero dispersion,low confinement loss and large nonlinear *** finite difference method with anisotropic perfectly matched layer is used to calculate different properties of photonic crystal *** numerical simulation results show that it is possible to obtain nearly zero dispersion of-0.02 ps/(***),confinement loss lower than 10 dB/m and large nonlinear coefficient about 31[Wkm] at 1.55μm wavelength,respectively.

Gender inclusiveness is important in the rural transformation process of Bangladesh as rural women play key roles in both agricultural and non-agricultural *** inclusiveness also leads to gender *** empirically evaluate relationships between rural transformation and gender inclusiveness in *** consider three rural transformation indicators:high-value commodities’share in agricultural output values,non-farm employment’s share in rural labor employment,and non-agricultural GDP’s share in total *** capturing gender inclusiveness include the per capita rural income of males and females,ratio of investments into gender programs,female access to education,access to healthcare,employment participation,land ownership,and asset *** test the effect of the difference in per capita rural income of males and females and the ratio of their incomes and check for the robustness of the gender variables across different model *** 128 district-level observations from 32 districts of Bangladesh across four time periods(2000,2005,2010 and 2016),we use both ordinary least squares and fixed effects panel regression *** find that female land and asset ownership and access to education and healthcare are robust determinants of various stages of rural ***,our results suggest that improving women’s ownership of land and assets and investing in women’s education and healthcare will likely contribute to a more inclusive rural transformation.

The impact of epigenetic modifications like DNA methylation on plant phenotypes has expanded the possibilities for crop *** methylation plays a part in the regulation of both the chromatin structure and gene expression,and the enzyme involved,DNA methyltransferase,executes the methylation process within the plant *** regulating crucial biological pathways,epigenetic changes actively contribute to the creation of the ***,epigenome editing may assist in overcoming some of the drawbacks of genome editing,which can have minor off-target consequences and merely facilitate the loss of a gene’s *** drawbacks include gene knockout,which can have such off-target *** review provides examples of several molecular characteristics of DNA methylation,as well as some plant physiological processes that are impacted by these epigenetic changes in the *** also discuss how DNA alterations might be used to improve crops and meet the demands of sustainable and environmentally-friendly farming.

In this paper, a new statistical averaging technique is proposed for finding an optimal solution to a multi-objective linear fractional programming problem (MOLfPP) and multi-objective linear programming problem (MOLPP) by using new arithmetic averaging method and new geometric averaging method. It is significantly noticeable same characteristics among all the technique while taking maximum or minimum among all optimized values for multi-objective functions using simplex algorithm. The characteristics provided from the problems are verified by the numerical examples.

Social media is an essential component of our personal and professional lives. We use it extensively to share various things, including our opinions on daily topics and feelings about different subjects. This sharing of posts provides insights into someone’s current emotions. In artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning (DL), researchers emphasize opinion mining and analysis of sentiment, particularly on social media platforms such as Twitter (currently known as X), which has a global user base. This research work revolves explicitly around a comparison between two popular approaches: Lexicon-based and Deep learning-based Approaches. To conduct this study, this study has used a Twitter dataset called sentiment140, which contains over 1.5 million data points. The primary focus was the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) deep learning sequence model. In the beginning, we used particular techniques to preprocess the data. The dataset is divided into training and test data. We evaluated the performance of our model using the test data. Simultaneously, we have applied the lexicon-based approach to the same test data and recorded the outputs. finally, we compared the two approaches by creating confusion matrices based on their respective outputs. This allows us to assess their precision, recall, and f1-Score, enabling us to determine which approach yields better accuracy. This research achieved 98% model accuracy for deep learning algorithms and 95% model accuracy for the lexicon-based approach.

China clay was employed as an adsorbent for the removal of Mg 2+ from water at pH 7.0 within the temperature range of 303～328 K. The linearity of the plots indicated Langmuir type isotherms. The reaction was exothermic. A maximum removal of 35% was obtained at 0.50 mmol L -1 metal concentration and a pH of 7.0 at 303 K. The H + rel /Mg 2+ ads ratio changed from a fractional value to 2.5. Strong chemical bondings took place between oxygen atom of the surface and Mg 2+ , resulting in a surface complex species. Temperature had a significant effect on H + rel , and the stability constants also increased with increasing temperature.

Polyamines （PA）, polyamine oxidases, copper amine oxidases, and nitric oxide （NO） play important roles in physiology and stress responses in plants. NO biosynthesis as a result of catabolism of PA by polyamine oxidases and copper amine oxidases may explain in part PA-mediated responses. Involvement of a copper amine oxidase gene, COPPER AMINE OXIDASEI （CuAO1）, of Arabidopsis was tested for its role in stress responses using the knockouts cuao1-1 and cuaol-2. PA-induced and ABA-induced NO production investigated bY fluorometry and fluorescence microscopy showed that the cuaol-1 and cuaol-2 are impaired in NO production, suggesting a function of CuAO1 in PA and ABA-mediated NO production. furthermore, we found a PA-dependent increase in protein S-nitrosylation. The addition of PA and ABA also resulted in H2O2 increases, cuao1-1 and cuao1-2 showed less sensitivity to exogenous ABA supplementation during germination, seedling establishment, and root growth inhibition as compared to wild-type. In response to ABA treatment, expression levels of the stress-responsive genes RD29A and ADH1 were significantly lower in the knockouts. These observations characterize cuao1-1 and cuao1-2 as ABA-insensitive mutants. Taken together, our findings extend the ABA signal transduction network to include CuAO1 as one potential contributor to enhanced NO production by ABA.

A New Compression Scheme for Secure Transmission

Encryption techniques ensure security of data during transmission. However, in most cases, this increases the length of the data, thus it increases the cost. When it is desired to transmit data over an insecure and bandwidth-constrained channel, it is customary to compress the data first and then encrypt it. In this paper, a novel algorithm, the new compression with encryption and compression （CEC）, is proposed to secure and compress the data. This algorithm compresses the data to reduce its length. The compressed data is encrypted and then further compressed using a new encryption algorithm without compromising the compression efficiency and the information security. This CEC algorithm provides a higher compression ratio and enhanced data security. The CEC provides more confidentiality and authentication between two communication systems.

A Brief Study on the Ignition of the Non-Thermal Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Jet from a Double Dielectric Barrier Configured Plasma Pencil

To understand the self sustained propagation of the plasma jet/bullet in air under atmospheric pressure, the ignition of the plasma jet/bullet, the plasma jet/bullet ignition point in the plasma pencil, the formation time and the formation criteria from a dielectric barrier configured plasma pencil were investigated in this study. The results were confirmed by comparing these results with the plasma jet ignition process in the plasma pencil without a dielectric barrier. Electrical, optical, and imaging techniques were used to study the formation of the plasma jet from the ignition of discharge in a double dielectric barrier configured plasma pencil. The investigation results show that the plasma jet forms at the outlet of the plasma pencil as a donut shaped discharge front because of the electric field line along the outlet＇s surface. It is shown that the required time for the formation of the plasma jet changes with the input voltage of the discharge. The input power calculation for the gap discharge and for the whole system shows that 56% of the average input power is used by the first gap discharge. The estimated electron density inside the gap discharge is in the order of 1011 cm^-3. If helium is used as a feeding gas, a minimum 1.48× 10^-8 C charge is required per pulse in the gap discharge to generate a plasma jet.
