In astrophysics, the boundary conditions for plasma phenomena are provided by nature and the astronomer faces the problem of understanding them from a variety of observations [Hester J J et al 1996 Astrophys. J. 456 225], on the other hand, in laboratory plasma experiments the electromagnetic boundary conditions become a major problem in the set-up of the machine that produces the plasma, an issue that has to be investigated step by step and to be modified and adapted with great patience, in particular in the case of an innovative plasma confinement experiment. The pROTO-spHERA machine [alladio f et al 2006 Nucl. fusion 46 s613] is a magnetic confinement experiment, that emulates in the laboratory the jet + torus plasma configurations often observed in astrophysics: an inner magnetized jet of plasma centered on the(approximate) axis of symmetry and surrounded by a magnetized plasma torus orthogonal to this jet. The pROTO-spHERA plasma is simply connected, i.e., no metal current conducting rod is linked to the plasma torus, while instead it is the inner magnetized plasma jet(in the following always called the plasma centerpost) that is linked to the torus. It is mandatory that no spurious plasma current path modifies the optimal shape of the plasma centerpost. moreover, as the plasma torus is produced and sustained, in absence of any applied inductive electric field, by the inner plasma centerpost through magnetic reconnections [Taylor J b and Turner m f 1989 *** 29 219], it is required as well that spurious current paths do not surround the torus on its outboard, in order not to lower the efficiency of the magnetic reconnections that maintain the plasma torus at the expense of the plasma centerpost. boundary conditions have been corrected,up to the point that the first sustainment in steady state has been achieved for the combined plasma.

目的:针对搭配市售硅水凝胶隐形眼镜使用的5种中国产含聚六亚甲基双胍(polyhexamethylene biguanide,pHmb)多功能护理液,通过护理液相关角膜染色、眼部反应(角膜染色、眼部充血)、角膜浸润、眼部舒适度来评估和比较其临床表现。方法:前瞻性、开放、随机、平行对照临床试验。选取18岁以上受试者162名,并随机分为5组,分别使用5种中国产含pHmb多功能护理液:全能多功能护理液,海昌水感觉润护理液,保视宁护理液,卫康新视护理液及卫康2 000多功能护理液(分别缩写为C,H,b,W,和W2)。所有受试者都配戴月抛型硅水凝胶隐形眼镜(博士伦纯视)3mo,并每日使用指定的多功能护理液。在配戴前,配戴后2wk,1和3mo进行随访。统计每百人每月护理液相关角膜染色及角膜浸润事件。眼部反应分0-4级,最小梯度为0.5(0=无反应,4=严重反应);眼部舒适度通过数字量表评定(分1-10级,最小梯度为1,1=差,10=优)。眼部舒适度和眼部反应采用线性混合模型进行分析。角膜浸润及护理液相关角膜点染通过fisher确切概率法和logistic回归分析进行分析。结果:有36名(22%)受试者中途退出试验。每组护理液相关角膜染色发生率为:H组26.3%,b组20.8%,W组19.4%,W2组13.4%,C组12.8%,其中H组的发生率分别与W2组(p=0.012)、C组(p=0.005)的差异有统计学意义。不同组间眼部反应、角膜浸润及眼部舒适度的差异均无统计学意义(p>0.05)。存在护理液相关角膜染色的受试者在白天及结束时相比于不存在护理液相关角膜点染的受试者舒适度明显较低。结论:对于不同的护理液,护理液相关角膜染色发生率存在差异,但角膜浸润、眼部反应及眼部舒适度不存在差异。pHmb多功能护理液引发的角膜染色与眼部舒适度相关。

The “ applause sign” is a simple test of motor control that helps to diffe rentiate psp from frontal or striatofrontal degenerative diseases. It was found in 0/39 controls, 0 of 24 patients with frontotemporal dementia (fTD), 0 of 17 p atients with parkinson disease (pD), and 30/42 patients with progressive supranu clear palsy (psp). It discriminated psp from fTD (p pD (p lap test” correctly identified 81.8% of the patients in the co mparison psp and fTD and 75% of the patients in the comparison of psp and pD.

Objective: To assess the effects of bilateral pallidal deep brain stimulation (Dbs) on mood and cognitive performance in patients with dystonia before surgery (at baseline, while patients received their usual treatment) and 12 months postoperatively (while patients received neurostimulation and their medications) in a multicenter prospective study. methods: Twenty- two patients with primary generalized dystonia were evaluated with tests focused on executive functions. The authors considered the patients' severe disability and selected the following tests: Raven progressive matrices 38, similarities and Arithmetic subtests of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence scale- R, Grober and buschke, Wisconsin Card sorting Test (WCsT), verbal fluency, Trail making Test, and the beck Depression Inventory. median age at surgery was 30 years (range = 14 to 54 years), median duration of disease was 18.5 years (range = 4 to 37 years). Results: before surgery, no patients showed cognitive decline or depression. The surgical procedure appeared to be benign cognitively. One year after surgery, free recall improved. There was a significant reduction in the number of errors in the WCsT. No behavioral or mood changes were found. Conclusions: bilateral pallidal stimulation has a good benefit- to- risk ratio as it did not negatively affect cognitive performance and mood in primary dystonia, while a significant motor improvement was obtained. moreover, a significant mild improvement in executive functions was observed, which may have been related either to the surgical treatment or to the marked decrease in anticholinergic drugs.

Yield and quality of maize following the foliar application of a fertilizer based on the byproduct “shale water”

The water extracted from the shale rock (shale water) through the pyrolysis process to obtain fuel oil and other products shows a composition based on organic compounds and a wide range of minerals and trace elements with an important role in plant nutrition, suggesting its use as a fertilizer. Thus, the influence of foliar application of shale water (sW), with or without the micronutrients zinc (Zn), manganese (mn), copper (Cu), boro (b) and molybdenum (mo), was evaluated regarding yield and quality of maize grains. The yield, the total antioxidant activity, and the content of starch, phenolic compounds and carotenoids were improved in maize grains following the application of three doses of 7 l/ha of sW, which indicates that sW may influence the primary and secondary metabolisms. The application of sW with micronutrients resulted in the increase of grain yield;however, did not result in the improvement of grain quality. The foliar fertilizer formulations also had an influence in the content of minerals and aminoacids of the grain. The results indicate that sW has potential to be used in agriculture to improve yield and quality of maize.

In march 2020, the World Health Organization declared a pandemic state in response to the number of infected and killed by COVID-19. Gestational diabetes (GD) is characterized by physiological changes making pregnant women even more vulnerable to viral respiratory infections, such as sARs-CoV-2. for these reasons and due to the restriction of data related to DmG and the involvement by COVID-19, the importance of raising information about these two conditions is evident. Therefore, this study aimed to perform a literature review about the complications of COVID-19 in patients with GD. span>MEDLINEspan>-PubMed, EMBASE, and Scielo databases were searchedspan> and followed the pRIsmA guidelines. Only four studies were included in the systematic review. The complications and mortality are more significant in pregnant women with diabetes since hyperglycemia promotes immune changes in the inflammatory state and worsens insulin resistance. The imbalance in the immune response favors the development of infections, the most likely being viral respiratory infections. On the other hand, other studies show insufficient recent evidence to indicate that pregnant women are more susceptible to infection with severe acute coronavirus respiratory syndrome. There are divergences between studies concerning complications related to COVID-19 in patients with GD. In view of this scenario and from the information obtained, it is noted that the literature is scarce regarding the worsening of COVID-19 in patients with GD. Therefore, it is necessary to continue research on these mechanisms that may justify their correlation.

fossiliferous glacial erratics have been found in moraines of the Grove mountains, east Antarctica since 1998 by Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition (CHNARE) teams. These erratics were derived from a suite of glaciogene strata hidden beneath the Antarctic Ice sheet in the lambert glacier drainage system, and thus provide a record of Cenozoic paleoenvironmental conditions and fossil biotas that are so far unknown from outcrops and drill cores in this region. by microfossil analysis, sparse Neogene spores and pollen grains are revealed, including: Toroisporis (lygodiaceae), Granulatisporites (pteridaceae?), Osmunda (Osmundaceae), polypodiaceae, magnastriatites (parkeriaceae), Deltoidospora, Araucariaceae, Taxodiaceae, podocarpus (podocarpaceae), Dacrydium (podocarpaceae), pinus (pinaceae), Keteleeria (pinaceae), picea (pinaceae), Tsuga (pinaceae), Chenopodiaceae, Artemisia (Asteraceae), Asteraceae, Gramineae, fraxinoipollenites (Oleaceae), Oleoidearumpollenites (Oleaceae), Oleaceae, Operculumpollis, Nothofagidites (Nothofagus), Rhus, Quercus (fagaceae), Juglans (Juglandaceae), pterocarya (Juglandaceae), liquidambar (Hamamelidaceae), Ulmus (Ulmaceae), Ulmoidepites (Ulmaceae), tilia, proteacidites (proteaceae) and Tricolpopollenites; but without any marine diatoms. most of the spores and pollen grains in the erratics are considered to originate from local sources except for some older exotic components that might be recycled from the basement sedimentary rocks by the ice sheet, so they are in situ sporo-palynological assemblages. furthermore, since the source areas of the glaciogenic sedimentary rocks are assumed to be local or in the up glacier areas, the palynological assemblages in these erratics represent an inland terrestrial flora during a warmer period of the ice-sheet evolutionary history. The ages of these erratics are also discussed based on the occurrence of some diagnostic pollens such as the Artemisia, Chenopodiaceae and Nothofagus, which implies

吉林省长白山北坡天然林是我国重要的红松pinus koraiensis种源基地,近年鼠害严重。2015年4—6月、9—10月,在阔叶林、针阔混交林、针叶林、暗针叶林及岳桦betula ermanii林中调查鼠害发生情况,统计危害发生的树种和部位,并在危害发生林型中采用笼捕法和陷阱法调查鼠类的组成。结果表明:1)鼠害主要发生在春季海拔800~1 100 m的针阔混交林;2)受害树种主要为椴树tilia tuan(3.61%±1.05%)、假色槭Acer pseudo-sieboldianum(3.00%±0.63%)、红松(1.73%±0.31%)、色木槭***(1.28%±0.14%)等重要经济林木,受害部位主要集中于林木基部(58.90%)和裸露根部(37.99%);3)长白山北坡林区春季鼠类捕获率较高,秋季较低;4)捕获的主要鼠种为棕背myodes rufocanus、朝鲜姬鼠Apodemus peninsulae和红背***,陷阱法对棕背的捕获率远高于笼捕法,但对朝鲜姬鼠和红背的捕获率较笼捕法低。
