The gut microbiome plays a key role in the health-disease balance in the human *** its composition is unique for each person and tends to remain stable throughout lifetime,it has been shown that certain bacterial patterns may be determining factors in the onset of certain chronic metabolic diseases,such as type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),obesity,metabolic-associated fatty liver disease(MAfLD),and metabolic *** gut-liver axis embodies the close relationship between the gut and the liver;disturbance of the normal gut microbiota,also known as dysbiosis,may lead to a cascade of mechanisms that modify the epithelial properties and facilitate bacterial *** of gut microbiota is fundamental to maintaining gut integrity,as well as the bile acids *** the present review,we summarize the current knowledge regarding the microbiota,bile acids composition and their association with MAfLD,obesity,T2DM and metabolic syndrome.

Using the single-mode approximation,we study entanglement measures including two independent quantities;i.e.,negativity and von Neumann entropy for a tripartite generalized Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger(GHZ)state in noninertial *** on the calculated negativity,we study the whole entanglement measures named as the algebraic average π3-tangle and geometric average Π*** find that the difference between them is very small or disappears with the increase of the number of accelerated *** entanglement properties are discussed from one accelerated observer and others remaining stationary to all three accelerated *** results show that there will always exist entanglement,even if acceleration r arrives to *** degree of entanglement for all 1-1 tangles are *** equal to zero,but 1-2 tangles always decrease with the acceleration parameter *** notice that the von Neumann entropy increases with the number of the accelerated observers and SκΙζΙ(κ,ζ∈(A,B,C)) first increases and then decreases with the acceleration parameter *** implies that the subsystem ρκΙζΙ is first more disorder and then the disorder will be reduced as the acceleration parameter r ***,it is found that the von Neumann entropies SABCI,SABICI and SAIBICI always decrease with the controllable angle θ,while the entropies of the bipartite subsystems S2-2non(two accelerated qubits),S2-1non(one accelerated qubit) and S2-0non(without accelerated qubit) first increase with the angle θ and then decrease with it.

We review steady spherically symmetric accretion onto a renormalization group improved Schwarzschild space-time,which is a solution to an asymptotically safe theory(AS)containing high-derivative *** use a Hamiltonian dynamical system approach for the analysis of the accretion of four types of isothermal test fluids:ultra-stiff fluid,ultra-relativistic fluid,radiation fluid,and sub-relativistic *** important outcome of our study is that,contrary to the claim in a recent work,there are physical solutions for the accretion of an ultra-relativistic fluid in AS,which include subsonic,supersonic,and transonic ***,we study quantum corrections to the known stability of the accretion in general relativity(GR).To this end,we use a perturbative procedure based on the continuity equation with the mass accretion rate being the perturbed *** classes of perturbations are studied:standing and traveling *** find that quantum gravity effects either enhance or diminish the stability of the accretion depending on the type of test fluid and the radial distance to the central object.

The pharmaceutical compound indomethacin is not totally removed in wastewater treatment plants,whose effluents flow into aquatic environments;concentrations in the 0.1-100 ng/L range are commonly found in surface waters,and its fate is ***,biological,photochemical and thermal degradation assays were conducted under stress and non-stress conditions to estimate its degradation rate in river water and establish its degradation products over *** results revealed that direct sunlight irradiation promoted the complete degradation of indomethacin（2 μg/L） in less than 6 hr,but indomethacin was detected over a period of 4 months when water was kept under the natural day-night cycle and the exposure to sunlight was partially limited,as occurs inside a body of *** biological degradation in water was negligible,while the hydrolysis at pH 7.8 was *** were monitored by ultra-pressure liquid chromatography/quadrupole time-of-flight/mass spectrometry after solid-phase extraction,and six degradation products were found;their structures were proposed based on the molecular formulae and fragmentation observed in high-resolution tandem mass spectra.4-Chlorobenzoic and 2-acetamido-5-methoxybenzoic acids were the long-term transformation products,persisting for at least 30 weeks in water kept under non-stress ***,the degradation in the presence of sediment was also monitored over time,with some differences being *** adsorption coefficients of indomethacin and degradation products on river sediment were calculated;long-term degradation products did not have significant adsorption to sediment.

Iron(Ⅱ) phthalocyanines(fePc) supported on functionalized nanostructured carbon materials have been studied as electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) in an alkaline medium. Herein, two types of carbon nanotubes(CNTs) have been explored as support, Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes and Herringbone Carbon Nanotubes(SWCNTs and h CNTs, respectively), both electrochemically modified with ortho-aminophenylphosphonic acid(2APPA), which provides phosphate axial coordinating ligands for the immobilization of fePc molecules. All the catalysts were prepared via a facile incipient wetness impregnation method. Comprehensive experimental analysis together with density functional theory(DfT) calculations has demonstrated both the importance of the five-coordinated fe macrocycles that favor the interaction between the fePc and the carbon support, as well as the effect of the CNT structure in the ORR. fePc axial coordination provides a better dispersion, leading to higher stability and a favorable electron redistribution that also tunes the ORR performance by lowering the stability of the reaction intermediates. Interestingly, such improvement occurs with a very low content of metal(~1 wt% fe),which is especially remarkable when h CNT support is employed. This work provides a novel strategy for the development of fe-containing complexes as precious metal-free catalysts towards the ORR.

Small bowel diverticulosis is a rare finding within the general population and jejunal diverticulosis,specifically,is even *** manifestations can range from post-prandial pain,constipation and malabsorption to serious complications,such as gastro-intestinal hemorrhage,perforation and acute intestinal *** we describe the case of an 81-yearold gentleman who presented with a three-year history of abdominal pain and weight *** unremarkable physical examination and laboratory tests,persistent pneumoperitoneum and dilated loops of small bowel were found on *** been given a diagnosis of small bowel bacterial overgrowth,the patient underwent capsule endoscopy study for further evaluation of his small *** capsule did not reach the colon and the patient never noted passing the capsule in his stool so,six months post-procedure,a computed tomography(CT)scan seemed to reveal the retained *** exploratory laparotomy revealed 200 cm of atonic,dilated jejunum with impressive diverticula along the antimesenteric *** case report is an example of an unusual set of presenting signs and symptoms of jejunal diverticulosis,including persistent pneumoperitoneum,pseudo-obstruction and small bowel bacterial overgrowth.A literature review has revealed that these signs have been present in other cases of jejunal diverticulosis,although the etiology and pathophysiology is not clearly understood.
