Ob.ective: Th. aim of th. work describ.d h.re was to evaluate th. role of contrast-enh.nced ultrasound (CEUS) in response evaluation for unresectab.e advanced h.patocellular carcinoma (h.C) treated with.tyrosine kinase inh.b.tors (TKIs) plus anti-programmed cell death.protein-1 (PD-1) antib.dy th.rapy. Meth.ds: A prospective coh.rt of consecutive patients with.h.C wh. received comb.ned TKI/anti-PD-1 antib.dy treatment for unresectab.e h.C b.tween January 2022 and Octob.r 2022 was included in th.s study. Th. patients underwent unenh.nced ultrasound (US) and CEUS examinations b.fore treatment and at follow-up. Ch.nges in th. largest diameters of th. target tumor on unenh.nced US and th. largest diameters of th. enh.ncing target tumors on CEUS were evaluated. Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) version 1.1 with.unenh.nced US and magnetic resonance imaging/computed tomograph. (MRI/CT) and modified RECIST (mRECIST) with.CEUS and CEMRI/CT were used to assess treatment response. Results: A total of 24 h.C patients (23 men and 1 woman; mean age: 56.5 ± 8.5 y; b.rcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage C, 62.5%; 29 intrah.patic target tumors) were studied. Calculations of degree of necrosis in th. target tumors revealed no significant differences b.tween CEUS and CEMRI/CT (44.5 ± 36.2% vs. 45.3 ± 36.8%, p = 0.862). As for th. differentiation of responders from non-responders, th. agreement b.tween RECIST version 1.1 of unenh.nced US and mRECIST-CEUS was poor (κ coefficient = 0.233). Meanwh.le, th.re was a h.gh.degree of concordance b.tween mRECIST-CEUS and mRECIST-CEMRI/CT (κ coefficient = 0.812). Conclusion: CEUS proved to b. superior to b.seline US and is comparab.e to CEMRI/CT in defining treatment outcome for comb.ned TKI/anti-PD-1 antib.dy th.rapy. © 2023 World federation for Ultrasound in Medicine & biology

h.man fallopian tub.s (fTs) play important roles in th. wh.le reproductive process. fTs are th. site for th. final maturation of gametes, fertilization, transport of preimplantation emb.yos, and early emb.yonic development b.fore entering th. uterus. All th.se functions are critical in th. estab.ish.ent of a successful pregnancy. Wh.n th. emb.yo is in transit th.ough.th. fT, th. fT microenvironment ch.nges th.ough.endocrine, paracrine, autocrine, and juxtacrine mech.nisms wh.ch.involve various h.rmones and bioactive sub.tances mainly from th. neigh.oring cells. Th.refore, th. interactions b.tween th. emb.yo and th. fT may b. th. earliest emb.yo-maternal communications th.t are essential for th. estab.ish.ent of pregnancy. Th.s review critically discusses th. evidence of various h.rmonal and bioactive mediated control of th. microenvironment in th. fTs during th. earliest emb.yo-maternal communications. Moreover, we h.gh.igh. existing gaps in th. knowledge and th. importance of exploring more of th. ph.siology of fTs wh.ch.will h.ld th. key to producing h.gh.quality emb.yos for patients seekingin vitro fertilization (IVf) treatments.

Models can offer th. most accurate forecasting outcomes if error terms are normally distrib.ted. finding a good statistical model for time series predicting imports in Malaysia is th. main target of th.s study. Th. decision made during th.s study mostly addresses th. unrestricted error correction model (UECM), and composite model (Comb.ned regression—ARIMA). Th. imports of Malaysia from th. first quarter of 1991 to th. th.rd quarter of 2022 are employed in th.s study’s quarterly time series data. Th. forecasting outcomes of th. current study demonstrated th.t th. composite model offered more prob.b.listic data, wh.ch.improved forecasting th. volume of Malaysia’s imports. Th. composite model, and th. UECM model in th.s study are linear models b.sed on responses to Malaysia’s imports. future studies migh. compare th. performance of linear and nonlinear models in forecasting.

Low-carb.n Development Path.of Ordos b.sed on LEAP Model

To determine th. low-carb.n development path.of Ordos，th.ee scenarios（b.seline scenario，low carb.n scenario，and enh.nced low carb.n scenario）were constructed b.sed on th. LEAP model to forecast th. energy demand and carb.n emission in Ordos from 2020 to 2050 and to analyze th. contrib.tion of various policy initiatives to reduce carb.n emission. Th. results sh.wed th.t under th. enh.nced low carb.n scenario，th. energy demand in Ordos peaked at 52 million tons of standard coal equivalent in 2025 and decreased to 40 million tons of standard coal equivalent in 2050，and carb.n emissions peaked at 163 million tons in 2025 and decreased to 16 million tons in 2050，wh.ch.was 88% lower th.n th.t in 2020. Regarding emission reduction contrib.tion，comparing th. b.seline scenario and th. enh.nced low-carb.n scenario，th. increase in renewab.e energy power generation installation，th. reduction in energy consumption of terminal energy use，and th. increase in terminal electrification rate contrib.ted to th. emission reductions of 43%，25%，and 24%，respectively. Th. Ordos sh.uld vigorously develop renewab.e energy and make full use of th. rich.endowment of wind and ligh. resources；at th. same time，it sh.uld promote economic transformation and gradually increase th. proportion of h.gh.value-added and low-energy-consuming industries in th. industrial structure. for th. power sector，th. power generation structure sh.uld b. adjusted. Th. ob.ective of th.s paper is to describ. a new tech.ique for carotid artery transposition in sh.ep and evaluate its effectiveness using th. ech.-Doppler ultrasound. Th. animals enrolled in th.s study h.d th.ir carotid surgically elevated to th. sub.utaneous level, b. suturing underneath.muscles sternoceph.lic and b.ach.oceph.lic. None of th. animals th.t underwent th. procedure in th.s study h.d trans- or postoperative complications. Six month. after th. suture removal, all animals presented patent ca-rotids b. ech.-Doppler ultrasound. Th.s is an easy and safe procedure for carrying out experiments th.t re-quire th. collection of arterial b.ood.
