Leptin.is a hormon. produced an. secreted by adipose tissue. It is a member of adipokin. family with a prin.ipal role in.body weight regulation. Moreover, leptin.via its three receptors participates in.multiple n.uroen.ocrin. loops regulation. A comprehen.ive study on.the Bemisia tabaci （biotype B） resistan.e to n.on.cotin.id in.ecticides imidacloprid, acetamiprid an. thiamethoxam, an. pyrethroid bifen.hrin.was con.ucted in.Cyprus. The resistan.e level to eight field-collected B. tabaci population. was in.estigated. The activities of en.ymes in.olved in.metabolic detoxification.an. the frequen.ies ofpyrethroid an. organ.phosphates target site resistan.e mutation. were determin.d. Moderate to high levels of resistan.e were detected for imidacloprid （re- sistan.e factor [RF] 77-392） an. thiamethoxam （RF 50-164） while low resistan.e levels were observed for acetamiprid （RF 7-12）. Un.form respon.es by the Cypriot whiteflies could be observed again.t all n.on.cotin.id in.ecticides. n. cross-resistan.e between.the n.on.cotin.ids was detected as well as n. association.with the activity of the P450 microsomal oxidases. On.y imidacloprid resistan.e correlated with carboxylesterase activity. Low to extremely high resistan.e was observed for in.ecticide bifen.hrin.（RF 49 1 243） which was associated with the frequen.y of the resistan. allele in.the sodium chan.el gen. but n.t with the activity of the detoxification.en.ymes. Over-expression.of the cytochrome P450 CYP6CM1 gen. has been.associated with imidacloprid resistan.e in.a n.mber of Q an. B biotype Bemisia tabaci laboratory strain. from distin.t geographical origin. worldwide. We recen.ly demon.trated that the Q biotype version.of the CYP6CM 1 protein.（CYP6CMlvQ） is capable of metabolizin. imida- cloprid. Here, we show that the levels of BtCYP6CMlvQ were also elevated in.laboratory- resistan. strain. an. field-derived population., with variable imidacloprid resistan.e levels, collected in.Crete. High levels of CYP6CMlvQ tran.cripts were also determin.d in.survivors of a heterogen.ous field population. after exposure to discrimin.tin. imidacloprid dosage. Usin. peptide an.ibody-based detection.assays, we demon.trated that in.lin. with tran.cription.l data, the CYP6CMlvQ protein.levels were higher in.imidacloprid-resistan. in.ects, which further implicates the gen. as the causal factor of resistan.e.
