Exploring the potential for an evolutionarily conserved role of the taste 1 receptor gene family in gut sensing mechanisms of fish

In this study,we investigated the transcriptional spatio-temporal dynamics of the taste 1 receptor(T1R)gene family repertoire in seabream(Sparus aurata[sa]),during larval ontogeny and in adult *** early larval development,sa T1R expression arises heterochronously,*** extraoral taste-related perception in the gastrointestinal tract(GIT)anticipates first exogenous feeding(at 9 days post hatching[dph]),followed by the buccal/intraoral perception from 14 dph onwards,supporting the hypothesis that the early onset of the molecular machinery underlying sa T1R expression in the GIT is not induced by food but rather genetically *** adulthood,we characterized the expression patterns of sa T1R within specific tissues(n=4)distributed in oropharingeal,GIT and brain regions substantiating their functional versatility as chemosensory signaling players to a variety of biological functions beyond oral taste ***,we provided for the first time direct evidences in fish for m RNA coexpression of a subset of sa T1R genes(mostly sa T1R3,*** common subunit of the heterodimeric T1R complexes for the detection of“sweet”and“umami”substances),with the selected gut peptides ghrelin(ghr),cholecystokinin(cck),hormone peptide yy(pyy)and proglucagon(pg).Each peptide defines the enteroendocrine cells(ECCs)identity,and establishes on morphological basis,a direct link for T1R chemosensing in the regulation of fish digestive ***,we analyzed the spatial gene expression patterns of 2 taste signaling components functionally homologous to the mammalian G(i)a subunit gustducin,namely sa G(i)a1 and sa G(i)a2,and demonstrated their co-localization with the sa T1R3in EECs,thus validating their direct involvement in taste-like transduction mechanisms of the fish *** conclusion,data provide new insights in the evolutionary conservation of gut sensing in fish suggesting a conserved role for nutrient sensors modulating entero-endocrine secretion.

Assessment of energy utilization and leakages in buildings with building information model energy

Given the ability of building information models （BIM） to serve as a multidisciplinary data repository, this study attempts to explore and exploit the sustainability value of BIM in delivering buildings that require less energy for operations, emit tess carbon dioxide, and provide conducive living environments for occupants. this objective was attained by a critical and extensive literature review that covers the following：（1） building energy consumption, （2） building energy performance and analysis, and （3） BIM and energy assessment. Literature cited in this paper shows that linking an energy analysis toot with a BIM model has helped project design teams to predict and create optimized energy consumption by conducting building energy performance analysis utilizing key performance indicators on average thermal transmitters, resulting heat demand, lighting power, solar heat gains, and ventilation heat losses. An in-depth analysis was conducted on a completed BIM integrated construction project utilizing the Arboleda Project in the Dominican Republic to validate the aforementioned findings. Results show that the BIM-based energy analysis helped the design team attain the world＇s first positive energy building. this study concludes that linking an energy analysis tool with a BIM model helps to expedite the energy analysis process, provide more detailed and accurate results, and deliver energy-efficient buildings. this study further recommends that the adoption of level 2 BIM and BIM integration in energy optimization analysis must be demanded by building regulatory agencies for all projects regardless of procurement method （i.e., government funded or otherwise） or size.

the kinetics of camphene production in liquid phase from α-pinene was experimentally determined in an isothermal batch reactor. To this end, a sulfated ZrO2 catalyst was used and the reaction studied in the temperature range of 370-403 K. By analyzing the experimental data, second reaction order for α-pinene was found. A kinetic model is presented which includes term for the catalyst load used. the specific rate constant at 393K was 2.19×10^-3 mol·L^-1·min^-1, the activation energy being 93kJ·mo1·^-1. Both values are within the range of literature results.

Understanding the immune response and the current landscape of immunotherapy in pancreatic cancer

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)is an aggressive tumor with high *** with surgery,radiotherapy,chemotherapy,and other locoregional or systemic therapies,the survival rates for PDAC are low and have not significantly changed in the past *** special characteristics of the PDAC’s microenvironment and its complex immune escape mechanism need to be considered when designing novel therapeutic approaches in this *** is characterized by chronic inflammation with a high rate of tumor-associated macrophages and myeloid-derived suppressor cells and a low rate of natural killer and effector T *** pancreatic microenvironment is a fibrotic,microvascularized stroma that isolates the tumor from systemic ***,a novel approach that has demonstrated effectiveness in certain solid tumors,has failed to show any practice-changing results in pancreatic cancer,with the exception of PDACs with mismatch repair deficiency and high tumor mutational burden,which show prolonged survival rates with ***,numerous clinical trials are attempting to assess the efficacy of immunotherapeutic strategies in PDAC,including immune checkpoint inhibitors,cancer vaccines,and adoptive cell transfer,alone or in combination with other immunotherapeutic agents,chemoradiotherapy,and other targeted therapies.A deep understanding of the immune response will help in the development of new therapeutic strategies leading to improved clinical outcomes for patients with PDAC.

We propose a mathematical model to evaluate the effect of China＇s ＂Four-Free-One-Care Policy＂ in MSM population in Beijing. We divided the drug resistant H[V patients into two sub-populations： primary drug resistance and secondary drug resistance. Uncertainty and sensitivity analysis based on Latin Hypercube Sampling （LHS） were used for these thresholds of our model. We find that drug-resistant HIV will spread fast in MSM population under China＇s current treatment policy. Especially＇, primary-resistant strain is very likely to dominate the HIV positive MSM individuals after 10 years. the conclusions hint that, China＇s outlook on HIV infections is not optimistic if sufficient kinds free second-line drugs in China cannot be put into use in the near future.

Since 2014,"Bring Your Own Data"workshops(BYODs)have been organised to inform people about the process and benefits of making resources Findable,Accessible,Interoperable,and Reusable(FAIR,and the FAIRification process).the BYOD workshops'content and format differ depending on their goal,context,and the background and needs of ***-focused BYODs educate domain experts on how to make their data FAIR to find new answers to research ***-focused BYODs promote the benefits of making data FAIR and instruct project managers and policy-makers on the characteristics of FAIRification ***-focused BYODs gather software developers and experts on FAIR to implement or improve software resources that are used to support ***,these BYODs intend to foster collaboration between different types of stakeholders involved in data management,curation,and reuse(*** experts,trainers,developers,data owners,data analysts,FAIR experts).the BYODs also serve as an opportunity to learn what kind of support for FAIRification is needed from different communities and to develop teaching materials based on practical examples and *** this paper,we detail the three different structures of the BYODs and describe examples of early BYODs related to plant breeding data,and rare disease registries and biobanks,which have shaped the structure of the *** discuss the latest insights into making BYODs more productive by leveraging our almost ten years of training experience in these workshops,including successes and encountered ***,we examine how the participants'feedback has motivated the research on FAIR,including the development of workflows and software.

Successful treatment with hysteroscopy for infertility due to isthmocele and hydrometra secondary to cesarean section: A case report

BACKGROUND An isthmocele is a scar defect in the uterine wall due to a cesarean section. Its prevalence is unknown,but it has been associated with secondary ***,we present a case where the patient suffered from an isthmocele that was associated with persistent hydrometra,which developed during in vitro *** SUMMARY the patient underwent hysteroscopic surgery,which successfully resolved the isthmocele as well as the hydrometra. Afterward,two high-quality,euploid embryos,determined by morphological assessment and pre-implantation genetic diagnostic testing,were transferred. this resulted in uterine pregnancy,as determined byserum β-human chorionic gonadotropin levels on day 14(180 m U/mL) and ultrasound-confirmed presence of a gestational sac with a positive embryocardia at week 6. the pregnancy reached 36 wk without any complications,and the product was born in good health. We report a successful isthmocele treatment in a patient with secondary infertility,in which the isthmocele was the cause of persistent *** Hydrometra caused by secondary cesarean is an infertility factor,which can be corrected by hysteroscopy plus ablation of the isthmocele.

the Effects of three Mineral Nitrogen Sources and Zinc on Maize and Wheat Straw Decomposition and Soil Organic Carbon

the incorporation of straw in cultivated ifelds can potentially improve soil quality and crop yield. However, the presence of recalcitrant carbon compounds in straw slow its decomposition rate. the objective of this study was to determine the effects of different nitrogen sources, with and without the application of zinc, on straw decomposition and soil quality. Soils were treated with three different nitrogen sources, with and without zinc： urea （CO（NH2）2）, ammonium sulfate （（NH4）2SO4）, and ammonium chloride （NH4Cl）. the combined treatments were as follows：maize （M） and wheat （W） straw incorporated into urea-, ammonium sulfate-, or ammonium chloride-treated soil （U, S, and C, respectively） with and without zinc （Z）（MU, MUZ, WU, WUZ;MS, MSZ, WS, WSZ;MC, MCZ, WC, WCZ, respectively）;straw with zinc only （MZ, WZ）;straw with untreated soil （MS, WS）;and soil-only or control conditions （NT）. the experiment consisted of 17 treatments with four replications. Each pot contained 150 g soil and 1.125 g straw, had a moisture content of 80%of the ifeld capacity, and was incubated for 53 days at 25°C. the rates of CO2-C emission, cumulative CO2-C evolution, total CO2 production in the soils of different treatments were measured to infer decomposition rates. the total organic carbon （TOC）, labile organic carbon （LOC）, and soil microbial biomass in the soils of different treatments were measured to infer soil quality. All results were signiifcantly different （P〈0.05） with the exception of the labile organic carbon （LOC）. the maize and wheat straw showed different patterns in CO2 evolution rates. For both straw types, Zn had a synergic effect with U, but an antagonistic effect with the other N sources as determined by the total CO2 produced. the MUZ treatment showed the highest decomposition rate and cumulative CO2 concentration （1 120.29 mg/pot）, whereas the WACZ treatment had the lowest cumulative CO2 concentration （1 040.57 mg/pot）. the addition of NH4Cl resulted in the highest

Prospects for ASEAN-China Free Trade Area:A Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis

the current global financial and economic crisis is giving new life to initiatives that promote closer economic integration among East Asian countries. A significant example is the ASEAN- China Free Trade Area （.4 CFTA）, which is set to come into effect around 2010..4CFTA aims to boost trade between two economies that are partners as well as competitors： ASEAN and China. In the present paper, we use insights from customs union theory in a qualitative analysis considering whether,4CFTA would benefit both sides. We also apply a computable general equilibrium model to perform a quantitative analysis of the same issue. Both our qualitative and quantitative analyses provide grounds for guarded optimism regarding A CFTA ＇s prospects as a vehicle for strengthening the economic partnership between ASEAN and China.
