Seven new azaphilone pigments named lenormandins A–G were isolated from stromata(fruiting bodies)of the xylariaceous fungus,Hypoxylon lenormandii using preparative High Performance Liquid Chromatography(HPLC)and their structures were elucidated by NMR spectroscopy,high resolution mass spectrometry and other spectral *** occurrence in herbarium specimens(including various type materials collected in the 19th and early 20th century)and several fresh collections was studied by analytical HPLC with diode array and mass spectrometric detection(HPLC-DAD/MS),revealing that this group of pigments is specific for Hypoxylon lenormandii from various geographic regions and otherwise only occurs in closely related taxa,*** and an undescribed fungus from Sri Lanka,for which we propose the name *** status of the new species was established by using molecular phylogenetic data based on ITS and partial beta-tubulin sequences,and by detailed morphological studies.

bIERMER’s Disease: About 4 Cases Diagnosed at Regional University Hospital of Ouahigouya (Chur/Ohg) and Literature Review

Megaloblastic pernicious anemia is an autoimmune disorder, considered rare in African context. The objective of this study was to report four clinical cases collected at the CHUR/OHG, and to review the literature. The study population consisted of two men and two women. The clinical manifestations were mainly neurological and hematological. The neurological signs were mainly paresthesia. One patient presented memory problems. On the biological level, macrocytic anemia and vitamin b12 deficiency were reported in two cases prior to treatment while the other two without serological assay of vitamin b12 were put on trial treatment. Anti-intrinsic factor antibodies were positive in three patients. The Schilling test was not used. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy revealed atrophic fundic gastritis in all four patients who received treatment through intramuscular injection of hydroxocobalamin (vitamin b12). The evolution was favorable after one month of treatment in all cases. The literature review is dominated by clinical case reports, the largest cohorts of which are from the Maghreb.

Infection with the defective hepatitis D virus (HDV) co-infects or superinfects a patient carrying hepatitis b virus (HbV). Delta virus infection is relatively common. The seriousness of infection with the hepatitis D virus (HDV), a virus defective in a patient carrying the hepatitis b virus (HbV), lies in its aggravating effect on the associated viral hepatitis b. Our aim was to study the serological profile of HDV in HbsAg-positive patients. As this study was fragmentary, we initiated this study with the aim of investigating the serological profile of HDV in HbsAg-positive patients. This was a descriptive and analytical cross-sectional study that ran from March 2019 to February 2020, a 12-month period. It focused on the population of patients seen and screened positive for HbsAg. We obtained a frequency of 10%. The mean age of our patients was 41.8 ± 13.09 years. The sex ratio was 4.5. VHD RNA was detected in 50% of patients. In 100% of cases, the presence of VHD RNA was associated with advanced fibrosis according to the APRI score, but without any statistically significant link. All HbV-infected patients should be screened for anti-HDV Ac. HDV infection leads to rapid progression to complications of liver disease.

Spinal cord injury(SCI)is one of the most devastating traumas,and the aberrant proliferation of astrocytes usually causes neurological ***,the mechanism underlying astrocyte over-proliferation after SCI is ***2c(glutamate ionotropic receptor type 2c)plays an essential role in cell *** bioinformatic analysis indicated that Grin2c and Ca^(2+)transport functions were inhibited in astrocytes after *** of Grin2c stimulated astrocyte proliferation by inhibiting the Ca^(2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase 2b(CaMK2b)pathway in *** screening different inflammatory factors,interleukin 1α(IL1α)was further found to inhibit Grin2c/Ca^(2+)/CaMK2b and enhance astrocyte proliferation in an oxidative damage *** of IL1αusing neutralizing antibody resulted in increased Grin2c expression and the inhibition of astrocyte proliferation ***,this study suggests that IL1αpromotes astrocyte proliferation by suppressing the Grin2c/Ca^(2+)/CaMK2b pathway after SCI,revealing a novel pathological mechanism of astrocyte proliferation,and may provide potential targets for SCI repair.
