Two field experiments were carried out during growing seasons 2011 and 2012. It was executed in research farm of National Research Center in Nubaryia region, Egypt to study the effect of irrigation systems, fertigation rates by using the wastewater of fish farms “WWFF” in irrigation of potato. Study factors were irrigation systems (sprinkler irrigation system “SIS” and trickle irrigation system “TIS”), water quality (traditional irrigation water “TIW” and WWFF) and fertigation rates “FR” (20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% NPK). The following parameters were studied to evaluate the effect of study factors: 1) Calculating the total amount of WWFF per season;2) Chemical and biological description of WWFF;3) Clogging ratio of emitters;4) Yield of potato;5) Irrigation water use efficiency of potato “IWUEpotato”. Statistical analysis indicated that, maximum values were obtained of yield under SIS × FR100% NPK × WWFF, also, there were no significant differences for yield values under the following conditions: SIS × FR100% NPK × WWFF > SIS × FR80% NPK × WWFF > SIS × FR60% NPK × WWFF > TIS × FR100% NPK × TIW. This means that, using WWFF in the irrigation can save at least 40% from mineral fertilizers and 100% from irrigation water under sprinkler irrigation system.

With the increasing development of EVs, the energy demand from theconventional utility grid increases in proportion. On the other hand, photovoltaic(PV) energy sources can overcome several problems when charging EVs from theutility grid especially in remote areas. This paper presents an effective photovoltaic stand-alone charging station for EV applications. The proposed charging station incorporates PV array, a lithium-ion battery representing the EV battery, and alead-acid battery representing the energy storage system (ESS). A bidirectionalDC-DC converter is employed for charging/discharging the ESS and a unidirectional DC-DC converter is utilized for charging the EV battery. The proposed controllers achieve maximum power extraction from the PV and regulate the DC-linkvoltage. It also controls the voltage and current levels of both the ESS and the EVduring the charging/discharging process. The study has been applied to two caseswith different power levels. Analysis, simulation, and implementation of the proposed system are presented. A 120 W laboratory prototype is carried out to verifythe system performance, experimentally. Design guides for higher power levelsare proposed to help in choosing the proper parameters of the converters. Boththe simulation and experimental results are matched and verify the highperformance of the proposed system.

Yield Attributes and Oil Safety in the Hyperaccumulator Canola Plant Grown in a Bioremediated Sewaged Soil

A field experiment was carried out at Abu-Rawash sewage farm to appraise the effect of certain novel remediative amendments on the quality of oil as well as the vegetative parameters and yield criteria of canola plant used as hyperaccumulator for the remediation of sewaged soils. The treatments included fallow soil (irrigated without growing canola), soil cultivated with canola (Brassica napus L.) and inoculated with arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM), soil inoculation with Thiobacillus sp. (a mixture of Thiobacillus ferrooxidans and Thiobacillus thiooxidant), soil treated with a mixture of 250 mg bentonite plus 250 mg rock phosphate/kg soil and inoculated with phosphate dissolving bacteria (PDB), and soil treated with all the aforementioned remediative amendments. Results indicated that the vegetative parameters and yield criteria of canola plant did not exhibit any serious adverse impact under all treatments applied. The concentrations of Zn and Cu in canola oil extracted from plants grown in soil inoculated with AM and/or Thiobacillus sp. far exceeded the safe permissible levels. On the other hand, the content of both PTEs in the oil extracted from canola plants grown in soil treated with either probentonite or with mixture of all remediative amendments followed the permissible safe levels.

背景血容量替代治疗是肝移植围手术期管理的重要部分。目前尚缺乏羟乙基淀粉（HES）应用于肝移植患者的相关安全性数据。我们评估了新一代羟乙基淀粉130／0．4应用于肝移植围手术期管理的安全性，并着重分析了其对肾功能的影响。方法行活体肝移植的40例患者被预先随机分成两组。ALB组患者（n=20）给予5％人血自蛋白，HES组（n=20）给予第三代羟乙基淀粉（6％HES130／0．4）。胶体总量被限制在50ml·kg^-1·d^-1，容量输注使肺小动脉楔压或中心静脉压维持在5—7mmHg。如需要额外的液体，则用平衡盐溶液替代。麻醉和手术操作过程均被标准化。分别测定麻醉诱导后、手术结束时、手术后前4天的动脉血肌酐和血清半胱氨酸蛋白酶抑制剂C（cystatin C）血浆水平。结果所有40例登记患者完成了研究。两组患者的人口统计学及手术中变量均具有可比性。手术后胶体液输入量分别是HES组6229±1140ml和ALB组4636±1153ml（P=0．003）。与ALB组（1100±900m1）相比，HES组（3047±2000ml）有更大的净累积液体平衡量（P=0．029）。两组血肌酐水平、肌酐清除率、cystafin C血浆水平差异无显著性。每组各有一例患者合并急性肾功能衰竭需行肾脏替代治疗。结论HES130／0．4做为人血白蛋白的替代品对肝移植术后肾功能的影响与后者相似。
