Athletes are commonly advised not to compete or train during major symptoms of a viral acute respiratory illness(ARI),which most commonly is a common *** has been traditionally thought that heavy physical stress could induce the worsening of symptoms of ARI and possibly cause potentially severe complications like myocarditis or sudden cardiac death(SCD).In addition,viral ARI may decrease athlete's performance.1 These concerns have been recently stressed during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic.2 However,it is anecdotally well-known that athletes commonly compete while experiencing common colds,most commonly due to picornaviral *** this perspective,we discuss what is known or not known regarding the risks of exercising during the viral ARI.

In phenomenological research, the reduction is a complex reflective attentiveness required for phenomenological understanding. A literature review revealed that little research has been done on health care professionals working with multiple-birth families. Van Manen＇s method has been variously used in nursing science. The aim of this article is to describe the hermeneutic circle and the method of reduction, providing an empirical example of the experiences of public health nurses working with multiple-birth families. The data consisted of open interviews （n = 38） with three participant groups--parents of twins, nurses, and family care workers--written output from them and the researcher＇s notes. The phenomena of the lifeworld of multiple-birth families as described by nurses can be expressed as：＂recognizing the strain＂, ＂targeting special needs＂, and ＂lightening the load of daily life＂. Reduction enables in-depth phenomenological hermeneutic research, helping to see the research stages both as parts and as a whole and the hermeneutic circle that accumulates understanding. Social and health care professionals need to listen more to parents＇ voices to better understand the needs and situation of multiple-birth families. More education and training is needed to empower parents of twins. This article can stimulate discussion on phenomenology, hermeneutic research and reduction.

Background： A systematic literature review shows there is a need to study how professionals work with multiple-birth families in different kinds of nursing contexts. Objective： The aim is to describe public-health nurses＇（n = 8） experiences of supporting multiple-birth families and to contribute to the understanding of working with such families. Methodology： The qualitative research study is guided by the phenomenological hermeneutic and van Manen＇s methods have been used. The phenomenon was described through the concept of lifeworld： time, body, relations, and space. The data include participants＇ interviews and written documents, as well as the researcher＇s notes. Results： The phenomena of supporting multiple-birth families, as described by public-health nurses, can be expressed by ＂Recognizing the strain＂, ＂Lightening the load of daily life＂ and ＂Targeting special needs＂. Conclusions： The social-and health-care professionals met challenges in supporting multiple-birth families, and disclosed their need for training and education. There is a need for more understanding of the unique relevant needs and life situations of such families. Wellbeing and caring involves giving guidance and providing the parents with the special knowledge they need. Further research could concentrate on how evidence-based research guides the work of professionals in multi-professional teams.

Lahti Growth model in the Lahti University of Applied Sciences is joining together the regional hub for design competence and the committed development of circular economy solutions. On the strategic level the circular solutions try to prevent waste from occurring in any part of the production and consumption process. This demands also design for user consumer behavior change. New emphasis for design education is required with guiding students in solving this behavior change challenge instead of designing concrete products. The user research for green behavior change reveals practical everyday, social life and interest related hindrances explaining the typical attitude – behavior gap with green actions. From the the user perspective the need is for service thinking based solutions, where the information communication, findability and availability of the offering amongst the everyday activities and interests is essential. This paper presents three into the design education integrated cases that present possibilities of the circular economy design and fulfill some important aspets of the user needs. The information design case for renewable energy production in the countryside developed both static posters and storytelling based animations about the horse manure based energy possibilities. The renewable energy research results data wrangling was integrated with information design ideas and visualisation production. The information design project produced results for clear, positive, context related and systemic information delivery. It also produced communication messaging about the normality, savings and history related sensibility achieved through recycling and producing renewable energy in the countryside. The second design case was about preowned product recycling possibilities through applying user information and service design process. The cross-disciplinary students' efforts produced finable, positive and without a car available service process, house cleaning

The presented study aims to extend the knowledge of toxicological profile of rare earth elements salts(REEs).The basal toxicity test performed comprised assessment of cytotoxicity(3 T3 Balb/c Neutral Red Uptake Test)that allows for calculation of LD50(rats)on the basis of the concentration which leads to a50%reduction in cell growth(IC50).Environmental toxicity was addressed by the Tubifex tubifex(T.t.)express *** in vitro skin irritation(OECD TG 439)and skin corrosion tests(OECD TG 431)utilizing the 3 D in vitro reconstructed human epidermal model EpiDerm(MatTek IVSL,SK)were used for assessment of skin irritation and corrosion potential hazard of *** effects were determined using the bacterial reverse mutation assay(Ames Test)on 5 Salmonella typhimurium strains with and without metabolic activation(OECD TG 471).Endocrine disruption was evaluated by means of a yeastbased assay YES/YAS(Xenometrix,CH).Skin sensitization was assessed using the LuSens assay,based on a genetically modified human keratinocyte cell line(OECD TG 442 D).The tested REEs have no potential of mutagenicity or skin sensitization,exhibit very weak endocrine disruption potential and only exceptional local irritation/corrosion effects for thulium(Ⅲ)chloride anhydrous,but have acute and chronic toxic effects on the aquatic environment.

Engineered Hydrophobin for Biomimetic Mineralization of Functional Calcium Carbonate Microparticles

In this study, the modified hydrophobin, engineered for biomimetic mineralization, has been employed as a structure-directing agent for mineralization of calcium carbonate. For the first time amphiphilic calcium carbonate particles have been obtained, using engineered proteins. The mineral microparticles have been characterized by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). While mineralization in the presence of non-modified hydrophobin results in polymorph mineral structures, uniform microspheres with an average particle diameter of one micron are obtained by employing hydrophobin which has been modified with an additional ceramophilic protein sequence. Owing to the tri-functionality of the modified hydrophobin (hydrophilic, hydrophobic and ceramophilic), the obtained mineral microparticles exhibit amphiphilic properties. Potential applications are in the areas of functional fillers and pigments, like biomedical and composite materials. Pickering emulsions have been prepared as a demonstration of the emulsion-stabilizing properties of the obtained amphiphilic mineral microspheres. The structure-directing effects of the studied engineered hydrophobins are compared with those of synthetic polymers (i.e. polycarboxylates) used as crystallization and scaling inhibitors in industrial applications.
