The absolute partial and total cross sections for electron impact ionization of carbon monoxide are reported for electron energies from 350 eV to 8000 *** product ions(CO^(+),C^(+),O^(+),CO^(2+),C^(2+),and O^(2+))are measured by employing an ion imaging mass spectrometer and two ion-pair dissociation channels(C^(+)+O^(+)and C^(2+)+O^(+))are *** absolute cross sections for producing individual ions and their total,as well as for the ion-pair dissociation channels are obtained by normalizing the data of CO^(+)to that of Ar^(+)from CO-Ar mixture target with a fixed 1:1 *** overall errors are evaluated by considering various kinds of uncertainties.A comprehensive comparison is made with the available data,which shows a good agreement with each other over the energy ranges that are *** work presents new cross-section data with electron energies above 1000 eV.

Objective: Studies have shown that electroacupuncture(EA) can alleviate cognitive impairments from Alzheimer's disease(AD) by regulating the expression of adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase(AMPK), but the specific mechanism involved remains to be elucidated. Therefore, this study explores the potential mechanism by which EA improves cognitive function from the perspective of mitochondrial ***: The four-month-old transgenic mice with amyloid precursor protein(APP)/presenilin 1(PS1)and AMPKa1-subunit conditional knockout(AMPKa1-cKO) were used for experiments. To evaluate the effects of EA treatment on cognitive function, the T-maze and Morris water maze were used. In addition,chemical exchange saturation transfer, thioflavin staining, transmission electron microscopy, mitochondrial membrane potential, and Western blotting were used to examine the potential mechanisms underlying the effects of EA on APP/PS1 ***: Both APP/PS1 mice and AMPKa1-cKO mice exhibited dysfunction in mitochondrial dynamics accompanied by learning and memory impairment. Inactivation of the AMPK/peroxisome proliferatoractivated receptor-γ coactivator-1a(PGC-1a) pathway increased pathological amyloid-β(Aβ) deposition and aggravated the dysfunction in mitochondrial dynamics. In addition, EA rescued learning and memory deficits in APP/PS1 mice by activating the AMPK/PGC-1a pathway, specifically by reducing pathological Aβ deposition, normalizing energy metabolism, protecting the structure and function of mitochondria,increasing the levels of mitochondrial fusion proteins, and downregulating the expression of fission proteins. However, the therapeutic effect of EA on cognition in APP/PS1 mice was hindered by ***: The regulation of hippocampal mitochondrial dynamics and reduction in Aβ deposition via the AMPK/PGC-1a pathway are critical for the ability of EA to ameliorate cognitive impairment in APP/PS1 mice.

In this work,a simple fabrication method of germanium-based metasurfaces is proposed,where the deposited Al_(2)O_(3) layer with high selectivity is chosen as the hard mask and retained after the dry etching *** simulation and experimental characterization results verify the feasibility of the fabrication *** experimental study on the fabrication methods of germanium-based metasurfaces is very significant as the meta-atoms with a higher refractive index can achieve 0 to 2πtransmission phase variation with a smaller period under the same thickness-to-period ratio,which is consistent with the requirement of the period miniaturization in some cases.

Quantum Anomalous Hall Effect with Tunable Chern Numbers in High-Temperature 1T-PrN_(2) Monolayer

Quantum anomalous Hall(QAH) insulators have highly potential applications in spintronic device. However,available candidates with tunable Chern numbers and high working temperature are quite rare. Here, we predict a 1T-PrN_(2) monolayer as a stable QAH insulator with high magnetic transition temperature of above 600 K and tunable high Chern numbers of C = ±3 from first-principles calculations. Without spin-orbit coupling(SOC),the 1T-PrN_(2) monolayer is predicted to be a p-state Dirac half metal with high Fermi velocity. Rich topological phases depending on magnetization directions can be found when the SOC is considered. The QAH effect with periodical changes of Chern number(±1) can be produced when the magnetic moment breaks all twofold rotational symmetries in the xy plane. The critical state can be identified as Weyl half semimetals. When the magnetization direction is parallel to the z-axis, the system exhibits high Chern number QAH effect with C = ±*** work provides a new material for exploring novel QAH effect and developing high-performance topological devices.

Low thermal conductivity,compatible thermal expansion coefficient,and good calcium–magnesium–aluminosilicate(CMAS)corrosion resistance are critical requirements for environmental barrier coatings used on silicon-based ***2Si2O7(RE=rare earth)has been widely recognized as one of the most promising candidates for environmental barrier coatings due to its good water vapor corrosion ***,the relatively high thermal conductivity and poor resistance to CMAS corrosion have limited its practical *** by the high entropy effect,in this work,a novel rare earth disilicate(Lu_(_(1/7))Yb_(_(1/7))Sc_(_(1/7))er_(_(1/7))Y_(_(1/7))Ho_(_(1/7))Dy_(_(1/7)))2Si2O7((7RE_(_(1/7)))2Si2O7)has been designed and synthesized by a solid reaction process.(7RE_(_(1/7)))2Si2O7 showed a low thermal conductivity of 1.81 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1)at 1273 ***,the thermal expansion coefficient of(7RE_(_(1/7)))_(2)Si_(2)O_(7)(4.07×10^(−6)℃^(−1)from room temperature(RT)to 1400℃)is close to that of the SiC-based ceramic matrix composites(SiC-CMCs)((4.5–5.5)×10^(−6)℃^(−1)).Additionally,(7RE_(_(1/7)))2Si2O7 exhibited excellent resistance to CMAS *** exposed to CMAS at 1300℃for 48 h,the reaction layer thickness was 22μ*** improved performance of(7RE_(_(1/7)))2Si2O7 highlights its potential as a promising candidate for thermal/environmental barrier coatings.

Pillar is closely related to the stability and reliability of underground spaces in closed/abandoned mines. The present research introduced a new technique to strengthen square cement mortar columns via fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) strips to verify the strengthening effect of FRP on pillars. Compared to a fully wrapped FRP jacket, the advantages of FRP strip are cost-effective and easy-to-construct. A series of compression tests as well as theoretical analysis were carried out to explore the mechanical behavior of square cement mortar specimens partially strengthened with FRP strips. The results verified the effectiveness of FRP strips in enhancing the stress and strain of cement mortar. Different from unconfined cement mortar specimens, these FRP-strengthened cement mortar specimens are featured with the double-peaked behaviors, mainly attributed to the stress state transformation from a one-dimensional to a three-dimensional stress state. It also indicated that the enhancement of stress increased with the FRP strip width. Moreover, the brittle-ductile transition ductile failure characteristics were also observed in FRP-confined cement mortar specimens. The ultimate ductility of the cement mortar specimen decreases gradually with the growth of the FRP strip width. The main contribution of this research is to enrich the strengthening techniques for residual pillars.

The quantum anomalous Hall effect（QAHE） has unique advantages in topotronic applications, but it is still challenging to realize the QAHE with tunable magnetic and topological properties for building functional devices. Through systematic first-principles calculations, we predict that the in-plane magnetization induced QAHE with Chern numbers C = ±1 and the out-of-plane magnetization induced QAHE with high Chern numbers C = ±3 can be realized in a single material candidate, which is composed of van der Waals（vdW）coupled Bi and MnBi2Te4monolayers. The switching between different phases of QAHE can be controlled in multiple ways, such as applying strain or（weak） magnetic field or twisting the vdW materials. The prediction of an experimentally available material system hosting robust, highly tunable QAHE will stimulate great research interest in the field. Our work opens a new avenue for the realization of tunable QAHE and provides a practical material platform for the development of topological electronics.
