The inclusion complex of β-cyclodextrin （β-CD） with 4-chlorobenzoic acid was synthesized and its crystal structure was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction under cryogenic condition. The complex contains two β-CDs, two 4-chlorobenzoic acids and twenty-nine water molecules in the asymmetric unit, and can be formulated as 2（C42H70O35）·2（CTH5O2Cl）·29（H2O）. In the crystal lattice, two β-CDs form a face-to-face dimer jointed together through hydrogen bonding between the secondary hydroxyl groups of β--CDs. Two 4-chlorobenzoic acid molecules which contact by C-Cl…π interactions are included in the β-CD dimer cavity. The β-CD dimers are arranged in brickwork-like pattern along the crystallographic a-axis. The effect of guest molecule length on the inclusion geometry was discussed by comparative study of some fl-CD complexes containing similar guests.

A supramolecular inclusion complex between β-cyclodextrin（β-CD） and α-naphthylacetic acid was prepared, and its crystal structure was investigated by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. The complex contains two β-CD molecules, one α-naphthylacetic acid, two ethanols and twenty-eight water molecules in the asymmetric unit, which could be formulated as [（C42H70O35）2·（C12H10O2）·（C2H5OH）2·28H2O]. Two β-CD molecules constitute a dimer by face-to-face contact of their secondary hydroxyl sides. At the interface of the dimer, one α-naphthylacetic acid molecule is sandwiched between two β-CD molecules. Each β-CD unit of the dimer includes one ethanol molecule in its cavity. The β-CD dimers are linked together via hydrogen bonding to form layers that are stacked in a brickwork-like pattern. The comparative study of some sandwich complexes elucidates that the interface of the β-CD dimer has a stronger inclusion capacity than the cavity of β-CD for some suitable planar guest molecules. The novel inclusion structure results from the competitive inclusion of α-naphthylacetic acid and ethanol.

Inflammation is a driving force of hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs) aging, causing irreversible exhaustion of functional HSCs. However, the underlying mechanism of HSCs erosion by inflammatory insult remains poorly understood. Here, we find that transient LPS exposure primes aged HSCs to undergo accelerated differentiation at the expense of self-renewal, leading to depletion of HSCs. Meanwhile, the central regulator nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB) mediating functional impairment by inflammation insult induces differential transcriptional response in aged HSCs compared with young HSCs, with precocious activation of myeloid lineage genes. Altered compartmentalization and chromatin loop formation are associated with aging-related differential transcriptional response in HSCs upon lipopolysaccharide(LPS)stimulation. Mechanistically, enhancer and promoter regions of myeloid lineage genes in aged HSCs are more accessible and display more rapid and prominent CTCF occupancy upon LPS stimulation. Our study provides comprehensive resources for the three-dimensional(3D)genome structure of HSCs and sheds light into the ordered genome organization and the associated transcriptome signature underlying HSCs aging.

There is a phase transition between quasi-periodic state and intermittent chaos in GOY model with a critical value δ0. When we add a modulated periodic externa/force to the system, the phase transition can also be found with a critical value δe. Due to coupling between the force and the intrinsic fluctuation of the velocity on shells in GOY model, the stability of the system has been changed, which results in the variation of the critical value. For proper intensity and period of the force, δe is unequal to δ0. The critical value is a nonlinear function of amplitude of the force, and the fluctuation of the velocity can resonate with the external force for certain period Te.

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is a common malignant tumor with high mortality. The prognostic significance of Ran, a member of Ras superfamily, remains unclear in HCC patients. Methods: Based on The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA) database and Tumor Immune Estimation Resource(TIMER), we analyzed the correlations among Ran expression, promoter methylation and immune cell infiltration. We also investigated the Ran expression levels in HCC tissues and normal tissues by using quantitative real-time PCR. Results: Ran m RNA expression was significantly increased in HCC tissues compared with the normal tissues( P endent receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curves showed that Ran expression had predictive value of the 1-, 3-and 5-year overall survival for HCC patients, and the areas under the curves(AUC) were 0.747, 0.634 and 0.704, respectively. Cox regression analysis showed that Ran expression was an independent prognostic factor for HCC patients(HR = 1.492, 95% CI: 1.129-1.971, P = 0.005). We also found a negative relationship between Ran m RNA expression and its promoter methylation( r =-0.36, P enes. Conclusions: The present study provides further insight into the prognosis of HCC, and Ran could serve as a biomarker for predicting the survival of HCC patients.

This review aims to sum up how Non-coding RNAs(ncRNAs)regulate the development of periodontitis and provides a new perspective for understanding the pathogenesis of *** explored the ncRNA's dual role in the development of periodontitis by summarizing evidence from previous in vivo and in vitro studies as well as clinical *** our review,the downregulation of 18 miRNAs,22 lncRNAs and 10 circRNAs demonstrates protective roles in *** contrast,the expression of other 11 miRNAs,7 lncRNAs and 6 circRNAs are upregulated in periodontitis,which promote the progression of *** dysregulated ncRNAs exert their protective or destructive roles by mainly influencing cell proliferation,differentiation and apoptosis via cross-talking with various molecules or signaling *** findings suggested which and how ncRNAs promote or delay the progression of periodontitis,which may greatly contribute to diagnose and therapy development of periodontitis based on ncRNAs in the future.
