Characterisation of the granular dynamics at the interface between a pipe and a granular flow in a rotating drum

A new mobile bed heat exchanger is presented in this work which is composed of a flowing granular material in a rotating drum and a cylindrical pipe with potential interest in different energy applications as cooling,heating or heat recovery *** optimal design of the device requires a characterisation of the phenomena involved at the interface between the granular flow and the *** process is modelled by the discrete element method and a global classification of the flow patterns around the pipe is presented with respect to the three main control parameters of the problem:the Froude number,the diameter ratio and the relative filling height of the *** second part is devoted to the characterisation of the structure of the flow at the interface(velocity field,density field)in particular in a so-called Biflow regime where granular motion occurs above as well as below the pipe which is favourable to transfer by convection.A typical behavior at the interface with the pipe consists of a zone I with high velocities of particles at the top of the pipe,a second zone with quasistatic particles or low velocity particles at the front and at the bottom of the pipe and a last zone ll of depletion of particles at the back of the *** Froude number has a limited effect on the features of this structure on the first layer in the range of Froude numbers considered whereas the relative height is a more determinant parameter to control the relative magnitude of velocities in zone I and zone Il as well as the extent of the depletion *** first hydrodynamical characterisation can shed light on the dynamical regimes with improved transfer between the particles and the pipe boundary.

营养素度量法对于公共卫生措施的建立是一个强有力的工具,它旨在以营养素含量为依据对食物进行分级评价。英国食品标准局(FSA)的营养素度量法(FSA score)已在英国食物数据库中得以验证,但是这个模型是否适用于其它国家食物数据库则还未被评价。本研究旨在评价英国FSA score在法国食物成分数据库中的应用。来源于法国NutriNet-Santé研究的食物成分表的食品根据英国FSA score进行分类,FSA score是以英国通讯署(OfCom)的切点值(‘健康的’总分≤4的食品和总分≤1的饮料;‘不健康的’总分>4的食品和总分>1的饮料)以及分布切点值(五分位的食物,四分位的饮料)。也可根据法国PNNS(Pro-gramme National Nutrition Santé)推荐的食物组对所采用的食品进行分类。从NutriNet-Santé研究(n=4225)具有法国人群中典型的食物中抽取样品,并根据其相对消耗量称量食品。根据OfCom切点值的食物分类与法国PNNS的食物组分类一致:97.8%的水果和蔬菜,90.4%的谷物和薯类以及仅3.8%的含糖零食被认为是健康的食物。此外,FSA score的可变性对于在同一食物组中子分类之间的区分,证实了使用FSA score作为多重分类体系的可行性,例如作为正面营养素标签的基础。英国FSA score在法国食物成分数据库中的应用更好的弥补了目前公共健康的推荐标准。

moths,pheromone receptors(PRs)are crucial for intraspecific sexual communication between males and *** PRs are considered as an ideal model for studying the evolution of insect PRs,and a large number of PRs have been identified and functionally characterized in different moth *** PRs were initially thought to fall into a single monophyletic clade in the odorant receptor(OR)family,but recent studies have shown that ORs in another lineage also bind type-I sex pheromones,which indicates that type-I PRs have multiple independent origins in the *** this study,we investigated whether ORs of the pest moth Spodoptera frugiperda belonging to clades closely related to this novel PR lineage may also have the capacity to bind type-I pheromones and serve as male *** the 7 ORs tested,only 1(SfruOR23)exhibited a male-biased expression ***,in vitro functional characterization showed that SfruOR23 could bind several type-I sex pheromone compounds with Z-9-tetradecenal(Z9-14:Ald),a minor component found in female sex pheromone glands,as the optimal *** addition,SfruOR23 also showed weak responses to plant volatile organic ***,we characterized an *** PR positioned in a lineage closely related to the novel PR clade,indicating that the type-I PR lineage can be extended in moths.

重组人白细胞介素-2(rh IL-2)具有促进免疫细胞增殖和分化的潜能,可用于治疗肺癌。然而,rh IL-2半衰期短,生物活性不稳定,需要将其载入微球中进行缓释给药。本研究采用同轴静电喷涂技术制备了载rh IL-2的核壳微球。以量子点为示踪材料,核层用壳聚糖做载体包裹rh IL-2和量子点偶联物,壳层采用透明质酸做载体制备核壳复合微球。采用单因素法对载体浓度、电压、针孔内径、喷雾流量等因素进行了研究。优化了同轴静电喷雾法制备核壳微球的工艺参数。结果表明,制备的核壳微球粒径在1.2–2.0μm,包封率和载药量分别为78.39%±1.96%和19.58±2.76μg/mg。体外释放实验显示微球释放效果较好,无突释现象。该制剂的生物学活性实验表明,核壳微球中的rh IL-2与游离蛋白药物具有相同的作用。体内成像分析也显示微球具有主动靶向性。本研究为rh IL-2靶向缓释微球的研制提供了理论依据。

目的评估食用超加工食品与心血管疾病发生风险的前瞻性关联。方法基于人群的队列研究。背景NutriNet-Santé队列,法国2009—2018年。参与者年龄≥18岁的105159位受试者。应用重复24小时的膳食记录(平均每人5.7小时)收集受试者饮食摄入情况,用以记录受试者日常对于3300种食品的摄入情况。根据加工程度利用NOVA分级将这些食品进行分类。主要结局测量在校正已知风险因素后,利用多变量Cox比例风险模型评估食用超加工食品与总体心血管疾病及冠状动脉性心脏病、脑血管疾病发生风险的关系。结果研究的中位随访时间为5.2年,其间食用超加工食品与总体心血管疾病[1409例患病,超加工食品在饮食中所占百分比绝对增加10%的危险比为1.12(95%可信区间为1.05~1.20);P<0.01,518208人年;食用超加工食品量最多的受试者(Q4)其总体心血管疾病发病率为277/10万人年,而在食用量最少的受试者(Q1)中为242/10万人年]、冠状动脉心脏病[665例患病;危险比1.13(1.02~1.24);P=0.02,520319人年;在超加工食品食用量最多和最少者的发病率分别为124/10万人年和109/10万人年]及脑血管疾病[829例患病;危险比1.11(1.01~1.21);P=0.02,520023人年;超加工食品食用量最多和最少者的发病率分别为163/10万人年和144/10万人年]的发病高风险有关。在校正了数种膳食营养质量标记(饱和脂肪酸、钠与糖摄入量、膳食纤维或者是来自主成分分析的健康饮食模式)的影响及大范围灵敏度分析后,这些结果仍存在统计学显著性。结论这项大型观察性研究发现,食用大量超加工食品与心血管疾病、冠状动脉性心脏病及脑血管疾病的高发病风险相关。这些结果仍需要在其他人群或研究单位进行验证,并且因果关系仍待确定。食品加工中的多种因素,如终产品的营养成分、添加剂、接触材料和新污染物,可能在这种联系中发挥某种作用,其各自作用的大小仍需要进一步研究。同时,几个国家的公共卫生当局近期已经开始鼓励人们食用未经加工或者经简单加工的食品,并且限制超加工食品的摄入。研究注册*** NCT03335644。

Extensive Bi-Atrial Remodeling on Hypertensive Patient with Permanent Atrial Fibrillation Delayed Diagnosis of Fatal Cardiac Lambda Amyloidosis

Background: Amyloidosis is a disease characterized by the deposition of fibrillar proteins in tissues. The nature of the protein defines the type of amyloidosis. Cardiac involvement is most often secondary to deposits of transthyretin and immunoglobulin light chains. Treatment depends on the type of amyloidosis. Cardiac light chain amyloidosis is a medical emergency. Aim: To highlight the importance of an early diagnosis of cardiac light chain amyloidosis. Case Presentation: We report the case of an 88-year-old hypertensive female patient with sustained atrial fibrillation and recurrent heart failure, in whom echocardiography showed concentric left ventricle hypertrophy with mildly reduced left ventricle ejection fraction (LVEF) to 45%. Bone scintigraphy was normal. Serum analysis showed increased lambda free light chains. Accessory salivary gland biopsy revealed weak Kappa light chain staining and clear overexpression of lambda light chain deposits. The diagnosis of stage 3B cardiac amyloidosis secondary to lambda light chain myeloma was made. After a multidisciplinary meeting, it was decided to start treatment with DARATUMUMAB + LENALIDOMIDE. Patient’s general condition deteriorated with the occurrence of febrile pancytopenia. Chemotherapy was stopped and management was limited to comfort care until the patient’s death. Conclusion: Cardiac light-chain amyloidosis must be diagnosed early as it can be rapidly fatal.

This paper focuses on the impact of past mining on public *** emphasizes the need to understand the induced seismic hazard and consequently improve the post-mining management procedures and legislations,as many mining sites are located in proximity to populated *** to many challenges and complexity of the post-mining environments,induced seismic hazard nowadays remains largely ***,the return experience of several post-mining sites in recent decades have shown us that the mine flooding and/or degradation of mining works can lead to the stress perturbations,inducing the seismicity and the reactivation of the surrounding geological ***,it is important to advance the seismic monitor-ing and research of seismicity in flooded post-mining *** the number of mine closures worldwide is rising,it can be expected that flooding induced reactivation of the surrounding faults becomes a more often observed *** present in this paper the experience of the abandoned flooded coal mine of Gardanne in France,which has been experiencing post-mining seismicity problems since its closure in *** show the results of a recent study of seismic multiplets and clustering of seismic events,as well as their spatio-temporal activity compared to meteorological *** results provide us new insights as well as lead to raising new questions on seismic sources and triggering mechanisms.
