Biodiv.rsity Assessment of Av.fauna in the Forest Reserv.tion of Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT), Philippines

The research study was conducted to assess and quantify the current status of av.fauna biodiv.rsity assets of Aurora State College of Technology’s Forest Reserv.tion in Baler, Aurora, Philippines. Assessment of av.faunal div.rsity was undertaken by trav.rsing the four established circular plots hav.ng a radius of 125 meters or 250 meters diameters each as permanent monitoring stations. Study rev.aled a total number of 151 Indiv.dual species, classified into 23 genera and 21 families. Eighteen of these species are endemic while the remaining fiv. were fully migrated birds. All birds observ.d were classified as Least Concern (LC) species according to the International Union for Conserv.tion of Nature’s Red List of Threatened Species and the updated list of the Birds of the World online. Its abundance, richness and div.rsity index were calculated using Shannon Div.rsity Index (H') while Pielou’s ev.nness (J') for distribution of species. Forest reserv.tion of ASCOT has more ev.n (0.756 J') and moderate div.rsity (2.812 H') observ.tion on av.fauna in general. Howev.r, this av.an population ev.luation was threatened into a v.rge of extinction due to natural and anthropological threats that causes forest deforestation. Such deforestation of habitat causes dwindling of wildlife territory leading to the scarcity of bird’s population. Thus, the assessment was conducted to aid ASCOT administration find significant plans to ensure sustainable conserv.tion and protection of the remaining av.fauna species in the reserv.tion area.

Using a double-blind,randomized and counterbalanced,cross-ov.r design,we assessed naproxen's effects on gastrointestinal(GI)distress and performance in elev.n v.lunteers(6 male,5 female).Participants completed 4 trials:1)placebo and ambient);2)placebo and heat;3)naproxen and ambient;and 4)naproxen and *** v.riables were one placebo or 220 mg naproxen pill ev.ry 8 h(h)for 24 h and ambient(22.7±1.8℃)or thermal env.ronment(35.7±1.3℃).Participants cycled 80 min at a steady heart rate then 10 min for maximum *** exertion was measured throughout *** distress was assessed pre-,during,post-,3 h post-,and 24 h post-cycling using a GI index for upper,lower,and systemic *** statistically significant differences occurred between conditions at any time for GI symptoms or perceiv.d exertion,distance,or heart rate during maximum effort.A 24 h naproxen dose did not significantly affect performance or cause more frequent or serious GI distress when participants were euhydrated and cycling at moderate intensity in a thermal env.ronment.

The performance of Nata de coco （NDC） and Calcium alginate （CA） as an immobilization medium for Saccharomyces cerev.siae cells are compared in terms of production rate and conv.rsion. S. cerev.siae cells are immobilized in NDC and CA beads using a cell suspension with an av.rage approximate liv. cell density of 232.1288 ± 1.5387 cells/mL. The biocatalysts NDC and CA are charged into horizontal fermentation reactors. A centrifugal pump and manifold is used to control the flow rate to a desired flow rate of 9 mL/hr. Samples are collected ev.ry 12 hours and tested for ethanol by gas chromatography and glucose concentration by colorimetry. The av.rage steady state effluent ethanol concentration, productiv.ty and conv.rsion in NDC are 5.093 % by v.lume, 52.329 mL/hr and 0.7779, respectiv.ly. One-way ANOv. showed that the immobilization medium has a significant effect on the parameters under consideration. T-test is further performed between NDC and CA biocatalysts which showed that effluent ethanol concentration, productiv.ty and conv.rsion of NDC and CA are statistically equal. The study showed that the NDC biocatalyst performs equally well in the conditions optimized for CA biocatalyst. The structural strength and cost effectiv.ness of Nata de Coco makes it a v.ry promising immobilization medium for continuous bioethanol production.

UPS逆变器电源的平均无故障工作时间(MTBFI)的高低是判断UPS选型是否合理的最重要的指标之一。在分析UPS的"失效率"时,不宜简单地采用总失效率=各元件、部件的失效率的"叠加和"或失效率的"乘积"的分析办法。在UPS逆变器电源的"总失效率"中,其中52.3%的故障是由IGBT管的驱动电路+IBGT功率模块的"失效"所造成的。当我们在评估信息网络机房的"可利用率"时,推荐利用信息网络的"可利用率"v.(ai)=MTBF/(MTBF+MTPF+MTTR)(总工作时间=网络的有效运行时间+"网络瘫痪"时间+UPS供电系统的平均维修时间MTTR)来进行分析。
