This paper proposes a deep-Q-network(DQN) controller for network selection and adaptive resource allocation in heterogeneous networks, developed on the ground of a Markov decision process(MDP) model of the problem. Network selection is an enabling technology for multi-connectivity, one of the core functionalities of 5G. for this reason, the present work considers a realistic network model that takes into account path-loss models and intra-RAT(radio access technology) interference. Numerical simulations validate the proposed approach and show the improvements achieved in terms of connection acceptance, resource allocation, and load *** particular, the DQN algorithm has been tested against classic reinforcement learning one and other baseline approaches.

Background:Immune checkpoint inhibitors play an important role in the treatment of solid tumors, but the currently used immune checkpoint inhibitors targeting programmed cell death-1 (PD-1), programmed cell death ligand-1 (PD-L1), and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4) show limited clinical efficacy in many breast cancers. B7H3 has been widely reported as an immunosuppressive molecule, but its immunological function in breast cancer patients remains unclear.Methods:We analyzed the expression of B7H3 in breast cancer samples using data from the Cancer Genome Atlas Program (TCGA) and the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases. MicroRNAs were selected using the TarBase, miRTarBase, and miRBase databases. The regulatory role of the microRNA hsa-miR-214-3p on B7H3 was investigated through dual-luciferase reporter assays, which identified the specific action sites of interaction. The expression levels of B7H3 and hsa-miR-214-3p in human breast cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues were quantified using Western blotting and quantitative PCR (qPCR). experiments were performed to observe the effects of modulating the expression of B7H3 or hsa-miR-214-3p on breast cancer cell proliferation and apoptosis. Additionally, the regulatory impact of hsa-miR-214-3p on B7H3 was examined. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) and flow cytometry were employed to assess the effects of co-cultured breast cancer cells and normal human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) on immune cells and associated cytokines.Results:In breast cancer tissues, the expression level of B7H3 is inversely correlated with that of hsa-miR-214-3p, as well as with the regulatory effects on breast cancercell behavior. Hsa-miR-214-3p was found to inhibit breast cancer cell growth by downregulating B7H3. AIM:To evaluate steatosis,insulin resistance(IR)and patatin-like phospholipase domain-containing 3(PNPLA3) and their relation to disease progression in hepatitis B and C viruses(HCV-HBV) coinfected ***:Three hundred and thirty patients with biopsy proven chronic hepatitis were enrolled:66 had HBV-HCV,66 HBV and 198 HCV *** of steatosis,IR and PNPLA3 polymorphisms and their relation to anthropometric,biochemical,virological and histological parameters were ***:Prevalence of steatosis in group HBV-HCV was similar to that in HCV(47.0% vs 49.5%,respec-tively);group HBV showed the lowest steatosis(33.3%).Group HBV-HCV had a lesser degree of steatosis than HCV(P = 0.016),lower HCV RNA levels(P = 0.025) and lower prevalence and degree of IR(P = 0.01).PNPLA3 polymorphisms were associated with *** HBV-HCV showed higher levels of liver fibrosis than group HCV(P = 0.001),but similar to that ob-served in HBV *** HBV-HCV group,liver fibrosis was not associated with steatosis,IR or *** infection was the independent predictor of advanced liver ***:HBV-HCV co-infected patients have lower degree of hepatic steatosis,IR and HCV RNA than HCV mono-infected;co-infected patients showed a more rapid liver fibrosis progression that seems to be due to the double infection and/or HBV dominance.
