A cheap method allowing fabrication of biocompatible,ultra-small(2-10 nm)and fluorescent(λ_(em)=425-500 nm)nanohybrids(nHs)from coffee wastes is *** gadolinium-doped nanohybrids(GDnHs)or gadolinium-free carbon dots(GFCDs)can be synthesized in a domestic microwave oven according to green synthesis *** sizes,chemical composition,impact on proton magnetic resonance relaxation time and optical properties of the GDnHs and GFCDs were studied in details and *** particular,doping of the nHs with Gd^(3+)ions,up to 1.87%w/w of gadolinium per particles’weight,will allow their application for magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).Furthermore,cell culture tests on human adenocarcinomic alveolar basal epithelial cells line(A549)have shown high biocompatibility of the GDnHs and in a wide concentration range 100-1000μg/ml.

Recurrence of inflammatory pseudotumor in the distal bile duct: Lessons learned from a single case and reported cases

Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors （IMTs） or inflammatory pseudotumors （IPs） have been extensively discussed in the literature. They are usually found in the lung and upper respiratory tract. However, reporting of cases involving the biliopancreatic region has increased over recent years. Immunohistochemical study of these lesions limited to the pancreatic head or distal bile duct seems to be compatible with those observed in a new entity called autoimmune pancreatitis, but usually intense fibrotic reaction （zonation） predominates producing a mass. When this condition is limited to the pancreatic head, the common bile duct might be involved by the inflammatory process and jaundice may occur often resembling adenocarcinoma of the pancreas. We have previously reported a case of IMT arising from the bile duct associated with autoimmune pancreatitis which is an extremely rare entity. Four years after Kaush-Whipple resection, radiological examination on routine follow-up revealed a tumor mass, suggesting local recurrence. Ultrasound-guided FnA confirmed our suspicious diagnosis. This present case, as others, suggests that persistent follow-up is necessary in order to prevent irreversible liver damage at this specific location.

ng>Objectives:ng> To study the change of CD16 + 56 in zona. ng>Materials and Methods:ng> 62 zona patients admitted at Inpatient Department of Dermatology, Venereology Allergy, 108 Military Central Hospital, and 30 healthy volunteers who were matched for age and sex participated in this study. Prospective, cross-sectional study with controls was conducted. We measured the number of CD16 + CD56 by flow cytometry using FACS Callibur. ng>Results:ng> The mean level of CD16 + 56 in zona patients was 253 ± 200 (106 cells/l), which was lower than that of control group but then increased after treatment. The change of CD16 + 56 did not correlate with patients’ age. Patients who were in severe condition or had affected size from 3% or more had a lower number of CD16 + 56 than control group. ng>Conclusion:ng> The number of CD16 + 56 in zona patients were lower than that of healthy people.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of He-Ne laser in combination with topical clindamycin in the treatment of AV at 108 Military Central Hospital from Oct 2015 to Aug 2016. Subjects and Methods: 61 patients with AV were divided into 2 groups: Group 1: 31 patients were treated with He-Ne laser in combination with topical Clindamycin, Group 2: 30 patients were only treated with topical clindamycin. Laser HE-NE was applied 2 times/week n>for 6 weeks. Result: After 3 months of treatment Group 1: very good—51n>n>.6%, good—48.4%. Group 2: very good—30%, good—50% and moderate—20%. Conclusion: n>The combination of He-Ne laser with topical clindamycin shows more rapid clinical improvement compared to topical clindamycin alone in the treatment of mild and moderate AV.

Shape of the geometrically active atomic states of carbon

We have developed a computer code for {／em.ab initio} the variational configuration interaction calculation of the electronic structure of atoms via variationally optimized Lagurre type orbitals, treating the orbital effective charges as variational parameters. Excited states of the same symmetry, in order to avoid the inherent restrictions of the standard method of Hylleraas--Unheim and MacDonald, are computed variationally by minimizing the recently developed minimization functionals for excited states. By computing, at the minimum, the one-electron density and the probability distribution of the two-electron angle, and the most probable two-electron angle, we investigate the atomic states of the carbon atom. We show that, without resorting to the （admittedly unproven） concept of hybridization, as an intrinsic property of the atomic wave function, the most probable value of the two-electron angle is around the known angles of carbon bonding, i.e. either 109^／circ or 120^／circ or 180^／circ, depending on each low-lying state of the bare carbon atom.

A Rigorous Analysis of Vehicle-to-Vehicle Range Performance in a Rural Channel Propagation Scenario as a Function of Antenna Type and Location via Simulation and Field Trails

Vehicle-to-Everything(V2X) communications will be an essential part of the technology in future autonomous drive decision systems.A fundamental procedure is to establish a robust communication channel between end-to-end *** to the antenna placed at different positions on vehicles,the existing cellular electro-magnetic(em) wave propagation modelling does not fit properly for V2X direct communication *** order to figure out a feasible understanding of this problem,this paper focuses on the propagation channel analysis in a rural Vehicle-to-Vehicle(V2V) scenario for vehicular communication with antenna position experiments at different *** adopting the ray-tracing algorithm,a rural scenario simulation model is built up via the use of a commercial-off-the-shelf(COTS) em modelling software package,that computes the path loss received power and delay spread for a given propagation ***,a real-world vehicle measurement campaign was performed to verify the simulation *** simulated and measured receiver power was in good agreement with each other,and the results of this study considered two antenna types located at three different relative heights between the two *** research provides constructive guidance for the V2V antenna characteristics,antenna placement and vehicle communication channel analysis.

Various flows of black and grey particles produced in Mg-emulsion collisions at 4.5 A GeV/c

Various flow phenomena of black particles （b-particles） and grey particles （g-particles） produced in magnesium-emulsion （Mg-em） collisions at 4.5 A GeV/c are reported. These flows are directed and elliptic transverse flows （v1 and v2） related by the azimuthal angle （φ）, directed and elliptic reaction plane flows （vR1 and vR2） related by the projected angle （φ） on the reaction plane, and directed and elliptic polar direction flows （vp1 and vp2） related by the polar angle （）. We extract absolute flows as the direct experimental values minus the isotropic theoretical values. The dependence of the various flows on the target particle multiplicity and on the angles （ ,φ,φ） is investigated. Our results show that the dependence of b-particle flows on the target size is obvious and for heavy targets the dependence on target particle multiplicity is slight. Compared with b-particles, g-particles have a slight dependence on the target size and target particle multiplicity.

Background Anthonomus grandis grandis is the main cotton pest in the Americas,with the potential to become a pest in other *** insect uses the plant's reproductive organs for feeding,oviposition,and survival strategies in the off-season,sheltering in dry *** study aimed to know the reproductive potential,feeding,longevity,and morphometric characteristics of boll weevils from dry bolls,squares,and *** were obtained from infested squares,dry bolls,and traps installed in cotton fields and the Caatinga *** weevil pairs were maintained in the laboratory to assess the oviposition,feeding holes,longevity,and morphometric measurements of the parental and F_(1) *** In the parental generation,boll weevils from traps(the Caatinga area and cotton cultivation)showed greater reproductive *** weevils from squares and the Caatinga area showed greater feeding activity compared with those from cotton *** rostrum length,thorax+abdomen length,and abdomen width were observed in boll weevils from cotton cultivation and dry *** origin of boll weevils parental generation did not affect progeny emergence *** F_(1) generation of boll weevils showed significant differences in average longevity depending on the origin of different ***,differences in rostrum lengths were observed,with the boll weevils coming from traps installed in cotton cultivation,the Caatinga area,and dry bolls being the *** thorax+abdomen length and abdomen width,the highest values were observed in those from the Caatinga area and cotton *** It was proven that dry bolls did not affect the reproductive,feeding,and longevity performance of boll weevils,enabling better insect fitness(reproduction and size)in relation to those coming from *** use of dry bolls as off-season shelter is an important survival strategy for the boll weevil.
