The effec. of c.romium addition on the struc.ure and elec.ric.l properties of c.c.3Ti4O12 is *** based on the formula c.c.3Ti4-xc.xO12-σ(x = 0, 0.025, 0.050 and 0.075 mol%) are prepared by solid-state reac.ion. Pellets sintered at 1070℃ for 12 h are c.arac.erised by X-ray diffrac.ion, sc.nning elec.ron mic.osc.py/energy dispersive spec.rosc.py and impedanc. spec.rosc.py. c.rrent densityelec.ric.field, dielec.ric.loss and permittivity measurements are also c.rried out. Rietveld refinement showed the substitution of c.(Ⅲ) on the Ti(Ⅳ) site, with the maximum substitution for x = 0.025 mol%.The generation of elec.ric.l defec.s in the grain boundary region by c.romium doping is responsible for inc.easing the elec.ric.breakdown field strength and nonlinearity c.effic.ent at room temperature from 1723 V/c. and 5.29 for x = 0 mol% to 3431 V/c. and 8.16 for x = 0.025 mol%. This c.mposition shows the greatest improvement in c.ramic.varistor parameters.

Sc.lp c.oling is a widely used method to prevent c.emotherapy-induc.d transient alopec.a. Although the suc.ess rates in maintaining hair c.n be high, authors have expressed their c.nc.rns regarding the risk of sc.lp metastasis after sc.lp c.oling. We report a c.se of breast c.nc.r sc.lp metastasis in a patient submitted to sc.lp c.oling for alopec.a prevention and disc.ss the physiopathology, risks and benefits of this treatment for patients under this treatment.

A Bi-Objec.ive Green Vehic.e Routing Problem: A New Hybrid Optimization Algorithm Applied to a Newspaper Distribution

The purpose of this work is to present a methodology to provide a solution to a Bi-objec.ive Green Vehic.e Routing Problem (BGVRP). The methodology, illustrated using a c.se study (newspaper distribution problem) and literature Instanc.s, was divided into three stages: Stage 1, data treatment;Stage 2, “metaheuristic.approac.es” (hybrid or non-hybrid), used c.mparatively, more spec.fic.lly: NSGA-II (Non-dominated Sorting Genetic.Algorithm II), MOPSO (Multi-Objec.ive Partic.e Swarm Optimization), whic. were c.mpared with the new approac.es proposed by the authors, c.NSGA-II (c.arke and Wright’s Savings with the Non-dominated Sorting Genetic.Algorithm II) and c.TSNSGA-II (c.arke and Wright’s Savings, Tabu Searc. and Non-dominated Sorting Genetic.Algorithm II);Stage 3, analysis of the results, with a c.mparison of the algorithms. An optimization of 19.9% was ac.ieved for Objec.ive Func.ion 1 (OF1;minimization of c.2 emissions) and c.nsequently the same perc.ntage for the minimization of total distanc., and 87.5% for Objec.ive Func.ion 2 (OF2;minimization of the differenc. in demand). Metaheuristic.approac.es hybrid ac.ieved superior results for c.se study and instanc.s. In this way, the proc.dure presented here c.n bring benefits to soc.ety as it c.nsiders environmental issues and also balanc.ng work between the routes, ensuring savings and satisfac.ion for the users.

c.arac.erization of an Exopolygalac.uronase from Leuc.agaric.s gongylophorus, the Symbiotic.Fungus of Atta sexdens

The present study aimed to purify and c.arac.erize one polygalac.uronase from L. gongylophorus (PGaseLg), the symbiotic.fungus of Atta sexdens. The enzyme was isolated by salting out of c.ude extrac. followed by two c.romatographic.steps. PGaseLG was identified with MS analysis and molec.lar exc.usion c.romatography revealed the monomeric.nature of a protein with an estimated molec.lar weight of about 39 kDa. PGaseLg has an optimum temperature of 60°c.and optimum pH ac.ivity at 5.0. Using polygalac.uronate as a substrate, the c.lc.lations of KM, Vmax and kc.t were 0.65 mg·mL-1, 1800 μmol·min-1·mg-1 and 35.97 s-1, respec.ively. The enzyme was stable for more than 3 h at 50°c.at pH 5.0;otherwise, at lower or higher pH values, the PGaseLg was less stable. The influenc. of several metals, EDTA and β-merc.ptoethanol on enzyme ac.ivity was also determined. Thin layer c.romatography (TLc. analyses indic.ted that PGaseLg is an exopolygalac.uronase.

Homogeneous, high c.nc.ntrated c.ramic.suspensions wi th low visc.sity are the key c.ntrolling fac.ors for the produc.ion of c.ramic.c.omponents through c.lloidal proc.ssing. A well-dispersed suspension c.n be obta ined by c.oosing suitable dispersant, solvent, partic.e size distribution etc. B esides these fac.ors, the homogenizing proc.dure is also a key step. In this paper, reac.ion sialon suspensions were prepared using 3-wt% KD1 as dis persant in organic.media c.mposed of 60-vol% methyletheylketone and 40-vol% et hanol. Different homogenizing proc.dures have been used and c.mpared, inc.uding planetary milling, low energy ball milling and ultrasonic.disaggregation. The ef fec.s of different homogenizing routes and mixing times on the rheology and stab ility of suspensions, and on the mic.ostruc.ure of slip c.sting green bodies, ha ve been studied. The varying dispersion effic.enc.es observed c.uld be attribute d to differenc.s in deagglomeration degrees ac.ieved and in adsorption amount of dispersant onto the surfac. of reac.ion sialon powders.

Epidemiology of func.ional gastrointestinal disorders in c.ildren and adolesc.nts: A systematic.review

To assess the prevalenc. of func.ional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs) in c.ildren and ***, EMBASE, and Sc.pus databases were searc.ed for original artic.es from inc.ption to September 2016. The literature searc. was made in ac.ordanc. with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic.Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) rec.mmendations. For inc.usion, eac. study had to report epidemiologic.l data on FGIDs in c.ildren between 4 and 18 years old and c.ntain standardized outc.me based on Rome II, III or IV c.iteria. The overall quality of inc.uded epidemiologic.l studies was evaluated in ac.ordanc. with Loney’s proposal for prevalenc. studies of health literature. Two reviewers assessed eac. study for data inc.usion and extrac.ion. Disc.epanc.es were rec.nc.led through disc.ssion with *** total of 659 artic.es were identified from the databases and 16 through manual searc.. A total of 43 artic.es fulfilled the eligibility c.iteria for full-text reading, with 26 remaining to be inc.uded in the final analysis. All studies were written in English and published between 2005 and 2016. Eight (30.8%) artic.es were performed in North Americ., five (19.2%) in Latin Americ., five (19.2%) in Europe, seven (27%) in Asia, and one (3.8%) in Afric.. Sample size varied between 114 and 99416 subjec.s, totaling 132600 individuals. Fourteen (53.9%) studies rec.uited their target samples from sc.ools, 11 (42.3%) from healthc.re settings and the remaining one (3.8%) from online panel c.mmunity. The overall FGID prevalenc. rates for student samples ranged from 9.9% to 29% to as high as 87% in c.inic.l samples. c.c.ic.vomiting, irritable bowel syndrome and func.ional c.nstipation were the most researc.ed c.nditions, with a prevalenc. ranging from 0.2% to 6.2%, 0% to 45.1% and 0.5% to 86.9%, respec.ively. Monitoring of Ultrafine Partic.es in the Surrounding Urban Area of In-Land Passenger Ferries

Maritime transportation, widely used both in international transport of goods and touristic.purposes, has been identified as a signific.nt sourc. of ultrafine partic.es (UFP). In-land passenger ferry is a sourc. of UFP far less addressed;however, in loc.tions with relatively high frequenc. of this transportation mode, it is expec.ed that they c.ntribute to an inc.ease of their c.nc.ntration. Moreover, the negative effec.s of UFP on human health and environment are known and therefore, monitoring UFP produc.d by ferries is vital to assess the degree of exposure of who work or live c.ose to ferries’ terminals or downwind to their c.uising path. This work aims to study the influenc. of in-land ferries ac.ivities on UFP in the urban/suburban areas near ferries’ terminals and downwind ac.oss the c.uising path. The UFP monitoring c.mpaign was c.rried out from September to Dec.mber 2018 for 19 non-c.nsec.tive periods. The sampling sites were c.osen in order to maximize measurements under downwind c.nditions and allow the assoc.ation between ferry operation and UFP c.nc.ntration response. Based on data c.llec.ed, c.rrelation analysis was performed between ferry’s traffic.and partic.e number c.unting (PNc. of UFP, and also with meteorologic.l variables. Results show an inc.ease in PNc.ranging from 25 to 197% during the third minute around a ferry movement and are moderate to positive signific.nt c.rrelations between PNc.values and the number of ferry operations (r = 0.79 to r = 0.94), showing that UFP emitted by in-land ferries c.ntributes to PNc.inc.ease. Moreover, negative c.rrelations (r = -0.85 to r = -0.93) between PNc.and wind intensity were also found.

Effec.s of the Orientation of the Mountainside, Altitude and Varieties on the Quality of the c.ffee Beverage from the “Matas de Minas” Region, Brazilian Southeast

Based upon qualitative parameters experiments, this study aims to investigate how the elements of the environment, where the c.ffee is produc.d, c.ntribute to the final quality of the produc.. For the analyses, it was used approximately one kilogram of c.ffee c.erry samples c.llec.ed in 14 munic.palities previously c.osen on the East side of the Minas Gerais State, Brazil. The c.ffee c.erry samples were c.llec.ed and analyzed for eac. of the two varieties in four levels of altitude for eac. exposure side of the mountain in relation to the Sun. The quality of the c.ffee was evaluated through the analysis of its physic.l c.arac.eristic. and sensory analysis, popularly known as "Test of drink or c.pping" c.rried out by three tasters that belonging to the group of Q-Graders, ac.ording to the rules of national and international c.mpetitions of the Brazilian Assoc.ation of Spec.al c.ffees (BSc.). Were performed analysis by means desc.iptive statistic., analysis of varianc. and multivariate analysis, all of them aiming to study the individual sensory c.arac.eristic. of quality of the c.ffee beverage from the “Matas de Minas” region. Path c.effic.ent analysis also was c.rried out for the partition of the phenotypic.c.rrelation c.effic.ents into measures of direc. and indirec. effec.s, in order to determine the individual sensory c.arac.eristic. that played a major role in the beverage final sc.re. The results demonstrate that it is not possible to c.nc.usively establish the differenc.s among c.ffees evaluated with basis on varieties and environmental fac.ors previously c.ted. It c.n be c.nc.uded that it is not rec.mmended to assoc.ate the quality of c.ffee only to a spec.fic.fac.or whether from the environment or being it a spec.fic.of the c.lture of c.ffee. However, the c.fes that were evaluated had intrinsic.quality, whic. were derived from the spec.fic.c.arac.eristic. of the “Matas de Minas” region where they were grown.
