In th. pres.nt work,tilted global s.lar irradiance data are pres.nted and analys.d,meas.red for a period of 1 year on th. campus.of Bah.ain Polytech.ic,Kingdom of Bah.ain,from both.a fixed ph.tovoltaic panel and a moving one via a two-axis.s.lar *** fixed panel faces.s.uth.with.an angle of 26°with.res.ect to th. h.rizontal,coinciding with.th. local geograph.cal *** s.cond panel is.moved by two motors.controlled by a global pos.tioning s.s.em and s.itable s.ftware s. th.t th. s.n’s.rays.are perpendicular to th. panel s.rface.A pyranometer is.ins.alled on each.panel,recording th. tilted global s.lar irradiance,s.ored by us.ng a data *** analys.s.of th. data obtained s.0}ws.a 33%s.lar energy gain on an annual bas.s.for th. moving panel(2780 vers.s.2088 kWh.m^(2) on th. fixed panel).More importantly,in June,wh.n th. energy demand in Bah.ain is.elevated due to th. increas.d res.dential cooling loads.th. s.lar energy received by th. moving panel is.54.7%h.gh.r compared with.th.t of th. fixed *** a percentage bas.s.th. increas. in s.lar energy from th. moving panel is.profound in th. early morning and late evening ***,th. reduction in th. s.lar energy received by th. fixed panel from May to June does.not appear in th. moving panel becaus. of th. adjus.able orientation of th. *** th. year,th. mean daily s.lar power varies.between 0.37 and 0.56 kW/m^(2) for th. fixed panel,and 0.45 and 0.70 kW/m^(2) for th. moving *** winter,s.lar energy fluctuations.are elevated due to erratic weath.r conditions.th.t pres.nt a peak s.andard deviation of 28%of th. corres.onding *** data pres.nted are us.ful for potential s.lar inves.ments.in Gulf countries.

We carried out th.s.res.arch.at Abu-Gaddaf Natural Fores. Res.rve (ANFR) wh.ch.is.located eas. of Blue Nile River, in Blue Nile s.ate, s.dan. It aims.at exploring tree compos.tion as.es.ing th.ir divers.ty indices. and ecological importance values. For s.rvey of types.and es.imation of dens.ty of tree s.ecies.in th. fores., we randomly dis.ributed 97 circular s.mple plots.(0.1 h.ctare (h.)). In each.s.mple plot we identified all trees.to th. s.ecies.level, recorded th.ir frequencies.and computed s.ecies.divers.ty and importance value indices.(IVI). A total of 13 tree s.ecies. wh.ch.belong to 12 genera and nine families. were identified in th. tree layer of th. fores.. Mean tree dens.ty in ANFR was.116 trees.h., compos.d mainly of Bos.ellia papyrifera (Del.) h.ch.t. (48), followed by Combretum h.rtmannianu (19) and Lannea fruticos. (18). Fabaceae was.th. mos. common family followed by Combretaceae and Malvaceae. B. papyrifera Delile h.ch.t was.th. mos. abundant wh.le Acacia s.yal was.th. leas. abundant s.ecies. s.ecies.rich.es. (R = 1.71), evennes. (E = 0.69), dominance (0.24) indices.and s.mps.n’s.Index of Divers.ty (D' = 0.76) s.gges. a moderate divers.ty, moderate numbers.of individuals.in each.s.ecies.and a moderate community s.ability. Th. res.arch.provides.empirical res.lts.on divers.ty and ecological importance value of s.ecies. s.gnifies.th. urging need to s.feguard th.eatened s.ecies.and to prioritize th.m for cons.rvation, as.well as.th. need to promote management of abundant s.ecies.to provide multiple fores. ecos.s.em s.rvices.
