The n.type thermoelectric Bi_(1.9)Lu_(0.1)Te_3 was prepared by microwave-solvothermal method an. spark plasma sin.erin.. The magn.tic field an. temperature depen.en.es of tran.verse magn.to resistan.e measured within.temperature 2-200 K in.erval allow fin.in. the peculiarities characteristic for stron.ly disordered an. in.omogen.ous semicon.uctors. The first peculiarity is due to appearan.e of lin.ar-in.agn.tic field con.ribution.to the total magn.to resistan.e reflected in.a crossover from quadratic magn.toresistan.e at low magn.tic fields to lin.ar magn.to resistan.e at high magn.tic fields. The lin.ar magn.toresistan.e can.result from the Hall resistan.e picked up from macroscopically distorted curren. paths due to local variation. in.stoichiometry of the compoun. studied. The secon. peculiarity is that both lin.ar magn.toresistan.e magn.tude an. crossover field are fun.tion. of carrier mobility which is in.agreemen. with the Parish an. Littlewood model developed for disordered an. in.omogen.ous semicon.uctors. An.in.rease in.the mobility due to a decrease in.temperature is accompan.ed by an.in.rease in.the magn.toresistan.e magn.tude an. a decrease in.the crossover field. Fin.lly, the third peculiarity is related to the remarkable deviation.of the total magn.toresistan.e measured at various temperatures from the Kohler's rule. Presen.e of stron. in.omogen.ity an. disorder in.the Bi_(1.9)Lu_(0.1)Te_3 structure con.luded from the magn.toresistan.e peculiarities can.be respon.ible for the remarkable reduction.in.the total thermal con.uctivity of this compoun..

We in.estigate the whole value chain. in.ludin. design. fabrication. an. characterization.of polyethylen.-based DLSPP waveguides an. demon.trate their first-time plasmon.c operation.an. mode guidin. capabilities alon. S-ben. structures. Low ben.in. losses of ~1.3 d B an. straight-section.propagation.len.ths of ~1 mm, pave the way for un.receden.ed complex on.chip mid-IR photon.c devices. Cellular automata model for traffic flow with safe drivin. con.ition.

In.this paper, a recen.ly in.roduced cellular automata （CA） model is used for a statistical an.lysis of the in.er micro-scopic structure of syn.hron.zed traffic flow. The an.lysis focuses on.the formation.an. dissolution.of clusters or platoon. of vehicles, as the mechan.sm that causes the presen.e of this syn.hron.zed traffic state with a high flow. This platoon.formation.is on. of the most in.erestin. phen.men. observed in.traffic flows an. plays an.importan. role both in.man.al an. automated highway systems （AHS）. Simulation.results, obtain.d from a sin.le-lan. system un.er periodic boun.ary con.ition. in.icate that in.the den.ity region.where the syn.hron.zed state is observed, most vehicles travel together in.pla- toon. with approximately the same speed an. small spatial distan.es. The examin.tion.of velocity variation. an. in.ividual vehicle gaps shows that the flow correspon.in. to the syn.hron.zed state is stable, safe an. highly correlated. Moreover, results in.icate that the observed platoon.formation.in.real traffic is reproduced in.simulation. by the relation.between.vehicle headway an. velocity that is embedded in.the dyn.mics defin.tion.of the CA model.
