The Late Devonian-early Carboniferous deposits of the Anarak section in northeastern Isfahan,Central Iran,evaluated based on conodont biostratigraphy,sedimentary environment and sequence *** to the field observations,five lithological units were *** the conodont fauna of the Late Devonian-Carboniferous(Mississippian-Pennsylvanian)deposits of Bahram,Shishtu,and Qaleh(Sardar 1)formations in Anarak section led to the identification of 67 species of 18 conodont genera,and accordingly 22 conodont biozones were *** correlation of sea-level change curves,regarding to the conodont biofacies with the global sea-level curve,demonstrates the relative correlation in the mentioned times due to the shallow condition of the central Iran basin compared to the European and American *** microfacies analysis led to the identification of 12 microfacies related to the open sea,bioclastic barrier,lagoon and tidal flat sub-sedimentary environments in a homoclinal carbonate ramp *** on sequence stratigraphy studies,three 3rd order sequences were *** first sequence,which is of the Late Devonian(upper part of the Bahram Formation,32.5 m),the second sequence(12.5 m)is the Late Devonian(uppermost part of the Bahram Formation),and the third sequence(68 m)is the early Carboniferous(the Shishtu I Formation).

Increasing the number of depleted reservoirs and global demand for energy have left us with low alternative but to use new ways to extract more *** different material used for tertiary oil recovery,surfactant injection has proved very promising solutions,such as interfacial tension reduction and wettability *** any harm to the environment and meanwhile being economically feasible,natural surfactants have been attracted researchers in recent *** extraction which is produced from Zizyphus Spina Christi leaves has shown some beneficial characteristics like IFT reduction and wettability ***,the amount of IFT reduction is not considerable,so we decided to augment its effectiveness by adding two different *** this investigation,three concentrations(0.01,0.05 and 0.1 wt%)of both graphene oxide(GO)nanosheet and GO/TiO_(2) nanocomposite was added to Cedr extraction solution to study their potential on IFT reduction and improving the ultimate oil *** concentration of 0.05 wt percent showed the lowest IFT in both *** this concentration,the IFT of GO/TiO_(2)-augmented solution and GO-augmented solution were measured of 10.5 and 12.3 mN/m,*** the bare Cedr solution showed 23.8 mN/m at its critical micelle *** coreflooding tests were also performed at the aforementioned *** oil recovery reached to 65%of original oil volume in GO/TiO_(2)-augmented solution,compared to 56% in GO-augmented solution case and 40%in bare Cedr solution *** Electron Microscopy images were also taken from the rock samples exposed to nanofluids to investigate any severe harm to the *** showed low tendency of both particles to adsorb on rock surface and plug large pores.

Tuberculosis(TB)continues to disproportionately affect Inuit populations in Canada with some communities having over 300 times higher rate of active TB than Canadian-born,non-Indigenous *** Tuberculosis Elimination Framework has set the goal of reducing active TB incidence by at least 50%by 2025,aiming to eliminate it by *** these goals are achievable with available resources and treatment regimens currently in practice has not been *** developed an agent-based model of TB transmission to evaluate timelines and milestones attainable in Nunavut,Canada by including case findings,contact-tracing and testing,treatment of latent TB infection(LTBI),and the government investment on housing infrastructure to reduce the average house-hold *** model was calibrated to ten years of TB incidence data,and simulated for 20 years to project program *** found that,under a range of plausible scenarios with tracing and testing of 25%e100%of frequent contacts of detected active cases,the goal of 50%reduction in annual incidence by 2025 is not *** active TB cases are identified rapidly within one week of becoming symptomatic,then the annual incidence would reduce below 100 per 100,000 population,with 50%reduction being met between 2025 and *** TB from Inuit populations would require high rates of contacttracing and would extend beyond *** findings indicate that time-to-identification of active TB is a critical factor determining program effectiveness,suggesting that investment in resources for rapid case detection is fundamental to controlling TB.

A new type of activated carbon （AC） was synthesized using broom sorghum stalk as a low cost carbon source through chemical activation with H3PO4 and KOH. The AC obtained by KOH had the largest BET surface area of 1619 m^2·g^-1 and the highest micropore volume of 0.671 cm^3·g^-1. CO2 adsorption was enhanced by functionalizing the AC with two different amines： triethylenetetramine （TETA） and urea. The structure of the prepared ACs was characterized by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller method, scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and acid-base Boehm titration analyses. The adsorption behavior of CO2 onto raw and amine-functionalized ACs was investigated in the temperature range of 288-308 K and pressures up to 25 bar. The amount of CO2 uptake at 298 K and 1 bar achieved by AC-TETA and AC-urea was 3.22 and 2.33 mmol·g^-1 which shows a 92% and 40% improvement compared to pristine AC （1.66 mmol·g^-1）, respectively. Among different model isotherms used to describe the adsorption equilibria, Sips isotherm presented a perfect fit in all cases. Gas adsorption kinetic study revealed a fast kinetics of CO2 adsorption onto the ACs. The evaluation of the isosteric heat of adsorption demonstrated the exothermic nature of the CO2 adsorption onto unmodified and modified samples.

Selective separation of gallium from aluminum by ion flotation using sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) as an anionic surfactant and fluoride as an inorganic ligand was investigated. The experimental results were analyzed using the stability constants and speciation diagrams of fluoride metal complexes. The presence of fluoride in the solution has a positive influence upon the separation of gallium from aluminum. The results show that increasing the fluoride concentration makes a more effective separation of gallium from aluminum because of a simultaneous increase in the complexion of aluminum with fluoride and a change in the electrical charge of the aluminum(ALF_4^-). The dehydration model of LIU and DOYLE was also applied to compare the ion flotation and the selectivity coefficients of gallium over aluminum with experimental results.

We extract a mathematical model to simulate the steady-state charging and discharging behaviors of an electrochemical storage over a 24-hour time ***,we develop a model for optimizing the daily operational planning of an interconnected micro grid considering electrochemical *** optimization model is formulated to maximize the total benefit of the micro grid via selling power to its end consumers and also exchanging power with the wholesale energy market so that the constraints of distributed energy resources(DERs) and low-voltage grid are *** optimization problem is solved by a genetic algorithm,and applied on two micro grids operating under different scenarios containing the absence or presence of electrochemical *** of the results of the optimization model for this micro grid,with and without electrochemical storage,shows that the electrochemical storage can improve the economical efficiency of the interconnected micro grids by up to 10.16%.
