Public Opinions on ChatGPT:An Analysis of Reddit Discussions by Using Sentiment Analysis,Topic Modeling,and SWOT Analysis

The sudden arrival of AI(Artificial Intelligence) into people's daily lives all around the world was marked by the introduction of ChatGPT, which was officially released on November 30, 2022. This AI invasion in our lives drew the attention of not only tech enthusiasts but also scholars from diverse fields, as its capacity extends across various fields. Consequently, numerous articles and journals have been discussing ChatGPT, making it a headline for several topics. However, it does not reflect most public opinion about the product. Therefore, this paper investigated the public's opinions on ChatGPT through topic modelling, Vader-based sentiment analysis and SWOT analysis. To gather data for this study, 202905 comments from the Reddit platform were collected between December 2022 and December 2023. The findings reveal that the Reddit community engaged in discussions related to ChatGPT, covering a range of topics including comparisons with traditional search engines, the impacts on software development, job market, and education industry, exploring ChatGPT's responses on entertainment and politics, the responses from Dan, the alter ego of ChatGPT, the ethical usage of user data as well as queries related to the AI-generated images. The sentiment analysis indicates that most people hold positive views towards this innovative technology across these several aspects. However, concerns also arise regarding the potential negative impacts associated with this product. The SWOT analysis of these results highlights both the strengths and pain points, market opportunities and threats associated with ChatGPT. This analysis also serves as a foundation for providing recommendations aimed at the product development and policy implementation in this paper.

Retrospective analysis of eFAST ultrasounds performed on trauma activations at an academic level-1 trauma center

BACKGROUND:Point-of-care ultrasound(POCUS)has become increasingly integrated into the practice of emergency medicine.A common application is the extended focused assessment with sonography in trauma(eFAST)*** American College of Emergency Physicians has guidelines regarding the scope of ultrasound in the emergency department and the appropriate *** objective of this study was to conduct a review of performed,documented and billed eFAST ultrasounds on trauma activation ***:This was a retrospective review of all trauma activation patients during a 10-month period at an academic level-one trauma center.A list comparing all trauma activations was crossreferenced with a list of all billed eFAST *** records were reviewed to determine whether an eFAST was indicated,performed,and appropriately ***:We found that 1,507 of 1,597 trauma patients had indications for eFAST,but 396(27%)of these patients did not have a billed *** these 396 patients,87(22%)had documentation in the provider note that an eFAST was performed but there was no separate procedure *** remaining 309(78%)did not have any documentation of the eFAST in the patient’s chart although an eFAST was recorded and reviewed during ultrasound quality ***:A significant proportion of trauma patients had eFAST exams performed but were not documented or *** of documentation was *** ultrasound programs require appropriate reimbursement to support training,credentialing,equipment,quality assurance,and device *** study demonstrates a significant absence of adequate documentation leading to potential revenue loss for an emergency ultrasound program.

本文中将纳米二氧化铈与铜粒子混合物应用于润滑油添加剂,使润滑油具有优良的减摩、抗磨性能。纳米二氧化铈与铜粒子用适当的表面活性剂进行表面改性处理,经表面改性的纳米粒子在润滑油中具有良好的分散、稳定性。采用透射电镜(TEM)观察与测量纳米二氧化铈、铜粒子的形貌和平均直径。应用四球摩擦磨损试验机测定添加纳米二氧化铈、铜粒子的润滑油的极压性能(P_B)、磨痕直径(WSD)和摩擦因数(μ)等。研究结果表明,最佳的纳米二氧化铈、铜粒子的总添加量为0.6%左右、纳米二氧化铈、铜粒子的质量分数之比为1:1,该润滑油具有最佳的的减摩、抗磨作用。文中还探讨了纳米二氧化铈、铜粒子混合物具有优良摩擦学性能的机理。

Analysis of Circular Resonator for Resonant Pressure Sensor

The analytical and finite element analyses of circular resonator for Resonant Pressure Sensor are presented. The new idea of this paper is the Silicon circular diaphragm used as the sensing resonator for micro pressure sensor. The thickness, radius and natural frequencies for the Si circular diaphragm are investigated. A system model is being developed to predict dynamic responses of the pressure sensor diaphragm and preliminary results are presented. The pressure range is 0-0.1Mpa. The resonant frequencies output of the homogenous circular diaphragm also realized by ANSYS software. The natural frequency of the resonator is about 63.418 kHz.

Species Composition and Stand Structure of Primary and Secondary Moist Evergreen Forests in the Tanintharyi Nature Reserve (TNR) Buffer Zone, Myanmar

The habitat structure and floristic composition examined for this study are of great importance, providing a scientific baseline of information for developing a biodiversity database and in supporting crucial information for the management decision-making process of the buffer zones. The primary objective of this study was to examine the current status of species composition and stand structure of moist evergreen forests distributed in the TNR buffer zone. Forest inventory was conducted in the primary moist evergreen forest (~1 ha) and secondary moist evergreen forest (~1 ha). In the TNR buffer zone, 83 species belonging to 31 families in the primary moist evergreen forest and 86 species belonging to 32 families in the secondary moist evergreen forest were found. The most dominant families in the primary moist evergreen forest were Dipterocarpaceae, Sapindaceae, Meliaceae, Myrtaceae, and Myristicaceae;at species level;this forest was composed of Nephelium lappaceum, Myristica malabarica, Nephelium laurium, Aglaia andamanica, and Diospyros peregrine. An Improvement on Data-Driven Pole Placement for State Feedback Control and Model Identification

The recently proposed data-driven pole placement method is able to make use of measurement data to simultaneously identify a state space model and derive pole placement state feedback gain. It can achieve this precisely for systems that are linear time-invariant and for which noiseless measurement datasets are available. However, for nonlinear systems, and/or when the only noisy measurement datasets available contain noise, this approach is unable to yield satisfactory results. In this study, we investigated the effect on data-driven pole placement performance of introducing a prefilter to reduce the noise present in datasets. Using numerical simulations of a self-balancing robot, we demonstrated the important role that prefiltering can play in reducing the interference caused by noise.

Protection Strategies against Cascading Failure for Power Systems of Ring Network

Power grid vulnerability is a key issue with large blackouts, causing power disruption for millions of people. The complexity of power grid, together with excessive number of components, makes it difficult to be modeled. Currently, researchers use complex networks to model and study the performance of power grids. In fact, power grids can be modeled into a complex network by making use of ring network topology, with substations and transmission lines denoted as nodes and edges, respectively. In this paper, three protection schemes are proposed and their effectiveness in protecting the power network under high and low-load attacks is studied. The proposed schemes, namely, Cascaded Load Cut-off (CLC), Cascaded Load Overflow (CLO) and Adaptive-Cascaded Load Overflow (A-CLO), improve the robustness of the power grids, i.e., decrease the value of critical tolerance. Simulation results show that CLC and CLO protection schemes are more effective in improving the robustness of networks than the A-CLO protection scheme. However, the CLC protection scheme is effective only at the expense that certain percentage of the network will have no power supply. Thus, results show that the CLO protection scheme dominates the other protection schemes, CLC and A-CLO, in terms of the robustness of the network, improved with the precise amount of load cut-off determined.

BACKGROUND: The current standard for con? rmation of correct supra-diaphragmatic central venous catheter(CVC) placement is with plain ? lm chest radiography(CXR). We hypothesized that a simple point-of-care ultrasound(POCUS) protocol could effectively con? rm placement and reduce time to con? ***: We prospectively enrolled a convenience sample of patients in the emergency department and intensive care unit who required CVC placement. Correct positioning was considered if turbulent flow was visualized in the right atrium on sub-xiphoid, parasternal or apical cardiac ultrasound after injecting 5 cc of sterile, non-agitated, normal saline through the ***: Seventy-eight patients were enrolled. POCUS had a sensitivity of 86.8%(95%CI 77.1%–93.5%) and speci? city of 100%(95%CI 15.8%–100.0%) for identifying correct central venous catheter placement. Median POCUS and CXR completion were 16 minutes(IQR 10–29) and 32 minutes(IQR 19–45), ***: Ultrasound may be an effective tool to confirm central venous catheter placement in instances where there is a delay in obtaining a con? rmatory CXR.
