Jasmonates(JAs) are phytohormones that finely regulate critical biological processes, including plant development and defense. JASMONATE ZIM-dOMAIN(JAZ) proteins are crucial transcriptional regulators that keep JA-responsive genes in a repressed state. In the presence of JA-Ile, JAZ repressors are ubiquitinated and targeted for degradation by the ubiquitin/proteasome system,allowing the activation of downstream transcription factors and, consequently, the induction of JA-responsive genes. A growing body of evidence has shown that JA signaling is crucial in defending against plant viruses and their insect vectors. Here, we describe the interaction of C2proteins from two tomato-infecting geminiviruses from the genus Begomovirus, tomato yellow leaf curl virus(TYLCV) and tomato yellow curl Sardinia virus(TYLCSaV), with the transcriptional repressor JAZ8 from Arabidopsis thaliana and its closest orthologue in tomato, SlJAZ9. Both JAZ and C2proteins colocalize in the nucleus, forming discrete nuclear speckles. Overexpression of JAZ8did not lead to altered responses to TYLCV infection in Arabidopsis;however, knock-down of JAZ8 favors geminiviral infection. Low levels of JAZ8 likely affect the viral infection specifically,since JAZ8-silenced plants neither display obvious developmental phenotypes nor present differences in their interaction with the viral insect vector. In summary, our results show that the geminivirus-encoded C2 interacts with JAZ8 in the nucleus, and suggest that this plant protein exerts an anti-geminiviral effect.

AIM To examine the effect of Fusobacterium nucleatum(F. nucleatum) on the microenvironment of colonic neoplasms and the expression of inflammatory mediators and microRNAs(miRNAs).METHOdS Levels of F. nucleatum dNA, cytokine gene mRNA(TLR2, TLR4, NFKB1, TNF, IL1 B, IL6 and IL8), and potentially interacting miRNAs(miR-21-3p, miR-22-3p, mi R-28-5p, miR-34a-5p, miR-135b-5p) were measured by quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR) TaqMan? assays in dNA and/or RNA extracted from the disease and adjacent normal fresh tissues of 27 colorectal adenoma(CRA) and 43 colorectal cancer(CRC) patients. KRAS mutations were detected by direct sequencing and microsatellite instability(MSI) status by multiplex PCR. Cytoscape v3.1.1 was used to construct the postulated miRNA:mRNA interaction *** Overabundance of F. nucleatum in neoplastic tissue compared to matched normal tissue was detected in CRA(51.8%) and more markedly in CRC(72.1%). We observed significantly greater expression of TLR4, IL1 B, IL8, and miR-135 b in CRA lesions and TLR2, IL1 B, IL6, IL8, mi R-34 a and miR-135 b in CRC tumours compared to their respective normal tissues. Only two transcripts for miR-22 and miR-28 were exclusively downregulated in CRC tumour samples. The mRNA expression of IL1 B, IL6, IL8 and miR-22 was positively correlated with F. nucleatum quantification in CRC tumours. The mRNA expression of miR-135 b and TNF was inversely correlated. The miRNA:mRNA interaction network suggested that the upregulation of miR-34 a in CRC proceeds via a TLR2/TLR4-dependent response to F. nucleatum. Finally, KRAS mutations were more frequently observed in CRC samples infected with F. nucleatum and were associated with greater expression of miR-21 in CRA, while IL8 was upregulated in MSI-high *** Our findings indicate that F. nucleatum is a risk factor for CRC by increasing the expression of inflammatory mediators through a possible mi RNA-mediated activation of TLR2/TLR4.

Introduction: Arbovirus diseases such as dengue and chikungunya threaten public health worldwide. Early and rapid diagnosis and surveillance of dengue virus (dENV) and chikungunya virus (CHIKV) infections are essential to the control of these diseases. In this study, we evaluate the diagnostic performance of our new in-house multiplex RT-qPCR method for detecting dENV serotypes and CHIKV in an external laboratory. Methodology: The evaluation study was conducted on 200 clinical samples of suspected patients for arbovirus disease infection, collected in Centre de Recherche Biomoléculaire Pietro Annigoni (CERBA), Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Our new multiplex RT-qPCR was compared to the commercial kit, the Zika, dengue, and Chikungunya (ZdC) Real-Time PCR Assays kit (Bio-Rad, California, USA). Results and Conclusions: Among 200 samples, 21.5% (43/200) were dENV-positive by multiplex RT-qPCR, and 21.5% (43/200) were also dENV-positive by reference real-time RT-PCR. 157 (78.5%) samples tested negative for dENV by both tests (new mRT-qPCR and reference test). The sensitivity and specificity of mRT-qPCR were 100%. The dENV serotypes detected were dENV-1 60.5% (26/43) and dENV-3 39.5% (17/43). CHIKV was not detected in this study. Our new mRT-qPCR is sensitive, cost-effective, simple, and can be used in developing country laboratories.

Regulatory T cells （Tregs） comprise a subset of Cd4＋ T lymphocytes that holds promise as immunotherapy for inflammat- ory disease states including autoimmune disorders, solid organ allograft rejection, graft-versus-host disease, and acute inflam- matory conditions. However, limited availability of Treg numbers restricts their usefulness in cell transfer applications, particularly as patients may need multiple infusions for chronic diseases.

The present investigation was to understand the electrical properties of 27.5 Li2O-（72.5–x） B2O3-xNd2O3with x=0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2 glasses. We analyzed the impedance data for a wide frequency range to get inside the conduction phenomenon. The conductivity of the glasses decreased due to the decrease in the mobility of mobile Li+ions. This decrease was due to polymerization of glass network caused by the Nd3+ions. Modulus formalism confirmed that the Li+ions overcame the same barrier no matter whether it took part in the conduction process or relaxation process. Scaling of the electrochemical data showed that conduction process in the ion conducting glasses was composition dependent and not the temperature dependent.

The structural transformation in thin films of bimetals in the dependence on temperature and concentration of vacancies was investigated. The system Ni-Al structural transformation was realized by computer design according to the mechanism of self-sustained high(temperature synthesis. Structural transformation is characterized by the presence of dislocations, clusters of point defects and germs of intermetallic phases near interphase boundaries.

We present a preliminary analysis of the photon beam asymmetry observable （Z） from the pho- toproduction reaction channel γn → pπ in the invariant mass range 1.6--2.3 GeV. The measurement was obtained using the near-4π CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer （CLAS） at Jefferson Laboratory, USA, employing a linearly polarised photon beam with an energy range 1.1 2.3 GeV, incident on a liquid deuterium target. The measurement will provide new data to address the poorly established neutron excitation spectrum and will greatly expand the sparse world data-set both in energy and angle.
